We have recently started tuition for my daughter in Chemistry at Tutor Hunt. Our daughter has said that she is very thorough and patient and seems very knowledgeable in the subject. 100% positive.
We found a geography tutor on here, Chand Patel, as my daughter was falling behind on this subject and instead of making her feel comfortable with the subject, this lady chose to laugh and make comments making my daughter feel uncomfortable and stupid. Her details said she would travel to the home and the fee was £10. I think we had about 4 lessons with her maximum until she decided to only be able to tutor on the weekdays and also said that we would have to travel to her which was not part of the original plan. She then chose not to carry on tutoring my daughter which I felt was an absolute waste of my £25 that I paid to get her details. I let her know that was my opinion and she decided to be extremely rude to say the least and went on about how no one else would charge £10 an hour even though the fee was never a problem for us. If you want to use this website, be careful in who you pick as tutors like Chand Patel are untrustworthy and are one of the many reasons to waste your money.
Excellent tutor, very friendly and knowledgeable. She has great learning resources to help with language lessons and is an experienced tutor. I would definitely would recommend their service!

We used this site to find a science tutor for our son about a year ago, we found Neil to be extremely helpful and he now tutors younger son too! We are now "hunting" again to find an English tutor.
I hired Rieman to tutor me in A level Economics and Maths. Rieman does have a good background in maths for GCSE, however when i hired him for A level Maths, he was not reliable in tutoring me. Unfortunately, he would only cover topics once and not be willing to go over the topic again, even if i found a particular concept difficult to understand.
Despite having studied Economics at A level, i can honestly say he is not competent nor capable of tutoring in this subject. His approach of just reading textbooks, and repeating the information was not effective nor helpful. Despite telling him this, he displayed a stubborn attitude and continued with this approach. In regard to actually revising and doing practice papers for the edexcel syllabus, he was not willing to help me write or even structure my essays. Despite prior having told him, that this was my weakest area. His approach of completely relying on mark schemes was not helpful either, i think a student is capable of doing this in their own time.
In terms of professionalism, Rieman was not punctual, often arriving late to sessions on a regular basis. When i had informed him of this issue, he would agree to arrive on time however he continued arriving late to each session. I found that during the sessions, Rieman can be very argumentative and at times has used offensive language towards me. His behavior was not acceptable and i would not recommend employing him as a tutor for your son or daughter.
I would like to meet a tutor in a neutral venue like a coffee shop. I don't mind giving my mobile phone number or email address to a potential tutor and I don't mind giving my home address to TutorHunt BUT, WHEN YOU BUY A TUTOR'S CONTACT DETAILS, TUTORHUNT GIVES THEM YOUR HOME ADDRESS DETAILS WHICH I DO NOT LIKE. It is ok if the tutor is a nice person but you never know.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE TUTORHUNT IS NOT A GOOD ONE, BOUGHT TUTOR CONTACT ON LINE. THE TUTOR STOP COMMUNICATION. WOULDN'T BORDER CONTACTING US. we drove the the contact address that was sold to us, it was an empty house. We ask neighbors. The house has been empty for years.
