I was charged 200.00 for a premium tax filing on my federal taxes, I engaged their support who were useless. I was forced to print and mail my tax forms and cut off from asking questions. I feel ripped off for what I was charged, and its useless for a 1040 filing if support is untrained in HSA Health Account Tax rules and forms.

It was a simple return. But, for a student. Well, the free online one isn't free anymore, it's $59, and they'll let you know after all information is entered. Ok, $59, I'll pay. Whoops, did you want to file state too? That's another $59. $118 for a simple return. Never again.
Software: Cannot e-file state taxes because it is asking me to declare taxes paid to another state or jurisdiction. I did not do such.
Customer service: I was asked by the agent to allow access to my computer not feeling comfortable with this I declined as I was asking him to explain how I could fix this he hung up on me. Keep in mind I had already paid for this service. I have used this service for almost a decade. I will find another means to file my taxes.
Could not recover account via password, call, online verification or any method. I literally have zero way to complete my taxes using turbo tax this year. Even tried to upload via CD - also does not work. Very upsetting and truly one of the WORST consumer experiences I have ever had. You lost a customer, Intuit.
I did my taxes on Turbo tax and the IRS made some changes to my income. When I called the rep, she erased all of my info and caused my taxes to be amended. Now they want to take $183.82 from my checking account and I haven't received my taxes yet. Plus they are charging money and I thought it was free. Be aware of this company, I believe this agency is a fraud, they were on the news for wrongfully
over charging people to do their taxes. Intuit/ Turbo sent me a debit reminder that my account will be debited $ 183.82 for Turbo tax service in which I haven't received any taxes yet. In addition, they don't consider if you have any auto pay that coming from your account for bills, which can cause you bank account to go lack of funds. Thanks a lot Turbo!
Used TurboTax to save time and cost of a professional. Big mistake. Just awful.
1. Very confusing for a senior.
2. Signing in difficult.
3. Could not get printing instructions.
4. Impossible to get help. Just a machine that sends an email that doesnt answer the question.
5. Needed factual & technical answers. No after sales service available & almost impossible finding their tele #, eventually did but got an answering machine that couldnt answer my question.
I should have spent $150.00 on a local tax firm & been far less frustrated.
Complete dog crap service. Yeah it's free… if you qualify. Student in another state? Your gonna pay incredibly high fees for having out of state income and residency income. Got laid off? Just to input a 1099G, you'll pay an extra 40 dollars. Have 2 jobs? There's another ridiculous fee. This year I personally used freetaxusa and paid 15 dollars for the exact same thing on turbo tax I would've paid 80-125. Another thing… they don't even show you the total on the paying page. Like I said… I didn't use it but my brother did and he got charged a ridiculously high price and he has no clue what he paid for… do yourself a favor and skip this site and never use it again. This is a company that preys on the people in tough shoes such as students, the seasonal workers and the less fortunate.
I spent 30 minutes doing my taxes, then it refused to send them even though I tried on three different devices and several different browsers. When I tried to contact customer support about why they were not transmitting my taxes I was told I had to pay $30 totalk to a person. That after I did every single thing the website said to do, including delete all the cookies on my computer, turning off pop up blockers, cookie filters, etc. I would love to be in a.class action suit for this fraud.
Had to pay a 70.00$ up charge at the very last second! After doing all the work it would no let me hit "file" with out up-grading for 70 bucks more. Reason? Because my broker had sold 1 stock. It was sneaky and deceptive because this info was supplied to turbo tax from the very beginning of my return. It was just a classic money grab. Will not be using turbo tax again. Shame on you.

Turbo Tax should be renamed to Turbo TAXING! I happily used this service for two years. This year has been a huge waste. The new system is glitchy and I had reload my documents several times. They have a new "product support" team and they are untrained. When I called in and was fortunate enough to get a live agent they were guessing at how to use the online forms. I was disconnected mid conversation twice and no one bothered to call back. Forget about asking anything related to your actual taxes! On my final call the agent who reminded me that she was only "product support" did her best to upswell Turbo Tax.
Could not find the return by name. Have another return to do. Hope to be able to name it. Could not search for a return by social security number. As I have said before the program gets worse every year.I have used it for about 20 years. This will probably be my last. The programmers seem to not understand taxes. Go back about five years on your program.
I spent a whole day completing my 2022 taxes. Finished it all and even paid a little extra for the site to review for errors or missing info. I later (3 weeks) went to the IRS site for a status on my return only to find out it was never filed! When speaking to the Intuit rep I find out nothing I provided was even saved to resubmit! What!The rep said I must not have hit the final submit button. Huh? I got a thank you for using Intuit and all the "what to expect" crap. So frustrating! Don't trust Intuit!
I was not able to use Turbo Tax to file my return and when i requested a refund they refused. Not even a we will give you a credit for next year. Do they think money grows on trees," it don't. Especially now doing covid 19. Very disappointed with this company...
I paid with my credit card, got a receipt via text and another one in turbo tax. Right under the receipt they say just two more steps, and the next step is to make payment again. And I can't get by that step to my return unless I make another payment.
Their customer service is a joke. They say they'll call you back in 15 minutes which they do but it's just some flunky screening the calls who doesn't know $#*!. They they connect you with a real customer service person where they put you on hold for half an hour.
Turbo tax really sucks! It used to be pretty good but it's gone way down hill. I'll never use them again.
So I'm sitting on the phone for na hour because their fringing web page is $#*!ed up. They suck suck suck!
Turbo tax seemed to do fine until it came time to efile. It continually circled back to a student 1098-t file and tried to add a second son named the same as my first on to my personal info. Even when the person added was deleted it continued to stop my e-filing. E filing was the entire reason for buying the program. Also there is no way to contact anyone to sort through this. It obviously was not tested enough before it was put out there for sale. Do not purchase this program it is the cause of much aggravation!
I have used Turbotax for 5 years and have not had a problem until filing 2023. I went through the entire process and there was a button to click if you're sure it's completed. I never clicked the button. The next day I received another dividend statement I hadn't expected. I went back into Turbotax and it would not let me edit my return or even start over. The help stated click on "tools" and that didn't exist. All of the menu items went to a page saying "not available yet". I had to go to Taxslayer to redo my return from scratch. It's very annoying that I couldn't edit my return or get any help (without paying) for such a simple problem.
I had them check my taxes to make sure I did them right. They charged me $222.00 for nothing my taxes was not right. I will never use turbo tax again. Class action lawsuit should be done on them. They are a rip off. Advice don't use them. Of course they took their money out of my refund. Which is not what they said it would be.
I filed my taxes on Jan 23,2023. The system put my state and federal together. I spoke to 4 different people. They were rude and stated they have nothing to do with software. Now, I have to just hope and pray I can get my taxes soon. If not, I was told by another rep. I had to amend my return in April. I will never use them again. They suck like they csr reps. Oh yea, and Marsha is a supervisor that have been doing taxes for 25 years. She couldn't even give me the correct info.
This website tries to upsell you at every point, even when it has no utility for you. In fact, TurboTax shouldn't even exist -- the IRS knows how much I owe them. Why should I have to pay ~$100 per year for a shady company to tell them?
What's more, is they clearly have a security breach. The very second I submitted my tax return, I got a scam text. It took me 30 minutes to get someone on the phone to tell TurboTax about it, and once I did, she had no ability to actually help in any way.
Answer: Very difficult to get, had to call numerous times to get a response and then there was no, let me help you with that. They were uncaring about my situation, I had to pursue questioning what they can do and would end up forwarding me to departments that did not respond.
