II have used Truthfinder website for about six months. It is a great tool to collect information about a friend or relative. Sometimes when you lose contact with someone special you can easily find personal information about that person using Truthfinder. With this tool you can reunite with someone long forgotten person. After I retired from my job I relocated to another state. As a result, I lost contact with most of my friends. I had spent good time with those friends for years. With Truthfinder, I reconnected with them and started having good time with them again. I will strongly recommend Truthfinder to my friends and relatives.

Friendly, engaging staff! Knowledgable, responsive and knows their product cold! I never hesitate to contact them when I have a question; Polite, courteous and patient. You are lucky to have them as employee! Either give them a raise or take her out for lunch at an upscale restaurant! I am a business woman and I never utilize this site to ascertain information about possible suitors! I do not like scammers calling with no messages or innately stupid questions; always looking to scam me out of money; they need to gat a job and discontinue harassment of competent, working individuals!

I had cancelled my subscription to Truthfinder online and received a confirmation email. However, charges continued. When I contacted Truthfinder customer support via telephone, I was connected to an agent in less than one minute. After I provided the subscription ID from the cancellation confirmation, the agent was immediately able to identify the issue (duplicate subscriptions, hence four not five stars). They cancelled the second subscription and initiated a full refund.
This is the best customer service interaction I've had in a very long time.

Sandra was very kind. I told her up front I was going to "rant" and in no way did I blame her. The phone # on my charge card has nothing to do with Truthfinder (at least not that I could fine). Press 1 if you are over 50, etc. I feel that is very misleading and did not help me in any way, shape or form. I was able to find the number on my account. I don't believe my frustration came through but if it did, my apologize to Sandra.
The reason for my call was I had 2 charges for Truthfinder. Sandra explained what both calls were and offered me a solution that was cheaper. I was very happy. Sandra was knowledgeable, helpful and kind.

Ran a check on myself just for fun. The "report" I received had info from my current State Only and that was sparse. They had a 23 year old phone # but didn't have my current one, had my current address but none of my past addresses. Only had one of my Wives & had her listed as an associate or friend, same with her family.
Had a few local sex offenders (which I could care less about) but no where near all of them. I got a incomplete police report, nothing about employment history, other States I had lived in, My other two Wives including the Mother of my Son! In short there was nothing in there that I couldn't have gotten with a simple Google search. Bah, don't waste your money.

I purchased a "report" on myself hoping to find some dates from my ancient past for a document I was filling out... Needless to say, the "public records" they promised were not included... Also, there was a whole plethora of bogus information that was in no way, shape, form, or fashion even related to me... Apparently, truthfinder couldn't find the "truth" if they were trapped inside a garbage bag with it... You can use Google and get as much information as you can get from these "experts"... DO NOT waste your money... Since I cannot get a refund, I will be leaving honest negative reviews everywhere available informing everyone of their scam-like practices hopefully before they get duped out of $28...

I detest this business model. You ask a simple question, just looking for basic information to see what ever happened to an old friend. The site runs search after search after search, taking an inordinate amount of time and showing you NOTHING useful. It also throws up lots of teasers and warning about the information you MIGHT receive. When it finally finishes, THEN they tell you that you can see the report for a FEE. If there is a fee, that should be stated upfront, along with the exact amount, BEFORE the user sits through your tedious search process. Do not waste your time on this if you just have a casual inquiry. It's a pain in the posterior

This is a great service product. Once I received the information that I needed the cancellation process was quick and easy. When I called, a TruthFinder rep was on with me in less than 30 seconds (didn't have to sit on my phone for an endless time waiting!). She was super friendly, easy to understand (I always have a difficult time understanding heavy accents from foreign countries), and took care of my request to cancel instantly. Note that this "Chris E." started responding to every review back in November of 2021. Before this company decided to combat all their negative reviews with this fake PR program, almost all their reviews were negative. Now, in 2022, especially March of 2022, every day they get glowing reviews from people. The glowing reviews started appearing at the same time this "Chris E." started making excuses and phony apologies for each bad review, so obviously the company caught on to the bad reviews they were getting, and both the responses and the sudden emergence of daily positive reviews are part of their deception program to counter all the bad reviews they are getting.

They waste 10-15 minutes of your time, while they show you dozens of fake "progress" screens for something that really only would take seconds to retrieve. Then after suckering you in with all their phony progress screens and having you click on various boxes to make sure you're still along for the ride, they hit you with what it's really all about - getting your money. The next part of their scam is to then try to entice you to give them your credit card info for a $1 "trial membership" with free reports. Once they get your credit card info and you are "subscribed", you will find they have designed it so it is extremely difficult to cancel that membership, and then the real charges will start piling up.
Further proof of their dishonesty is the way they post all these fake reviews, both on their site and on another site they apparently control - consumeraffairs.com All phony glowing reviews. OTOH, here, where the reviews are honest and written by real people, it's all 1 star reviews.
Any company that conducts its business with such deception is inherently dishonest. Don't give them any money

Ruthy in Customer Service has awesome listening skills, was quick in finding my account and provided a solution for my account question. I felt like I was in good hands and trust that all is well with my account now.
While I wasn't able to locate the most recent address for the person I was searching for, I believe Truthfinder did everything possible and was not at fault.
I recommend this company and will use them again if the need arises.

I just became a member and only ran one report thus far in fairness. I can say that I just called and talked to a Customer Service Rep. It was very fast to get to a rep for starters. She was friendly and knowledgeable answering multiple questions. One question needed to be verified, and she did the right thing to verify that one item with a supervisor. Nice work!

Answer: To Amber: I have used Truthfinder for several years and of all the search sites, I have found their information the most current (and the most correct). I 100% believe that there are scammers that USE Truthfinder - to get information they can't get on Google - but I don't think that Truthfinder "scams people". They get their data from "public information" - something we could all get if we had the time and patience to find information about any person that someone is looking for out there. I use the website to find high school classmates and I have been pleased with the success I have had finding "long, lost friends". I agree with you that the scammers need to be prosecuted for all the times they break the law. They should all get off the couch and get a job instead of stealing from honest people who are trying to take care of their families by actually WORKING.
