I've had a number of reviews removed by trustpilot now even after proving their authentic. They basically accuse you of lying I assume because the site your reviewing complains to them and their scared of consequences. Useless!
Trustpilot is plagued with false reviews. After showing adequate evidence of having attempted to make a purchase with a business that was way under-par, they hid the review. Simply put, Trustpilot and trust don't belong together. If they make it so easy for bad reviews to be taken down, then all reviews should follow the same process especially since someone can buy reviews from sites like Fiverr.
It kept removing my genuine review of a company, no detailed reason just said ''has been flagged by our software or our Content Integrity Team because we've been unable to verify the authenticity of it. ''
More like the certain company bought off any 1 star feedback placed on them.
This Trustpilot is a total scam. Don't trust them at all
I wrote a negative review on trustpilot for redbubble several months ago do to a product damaged during shipping for inefficient packaging. After I submitted it, I received an email, a day or so later, stating the review was being challenged by redbubble and that they needed proof. I sent them a photo of the damaged product and packaging, however I never heard back from them and my review never got posted. They clearly have a deal with businesses which I can't fault them for, I'm sure it makes them more money than the consumers accessing their site for reviews. Just don't rely on most review sites to give you an honest rating, check social media pages and if a company you're unsure of has disabled all comments, don't waste your time with it.
If anyone thinks they are an independent company who don't take influence from other companies? They are living in a dream. They sent me an email claiming I was a Bot and they were deleting my statement on a certain company? The reason they do this is companies with money pay them to find customers who don't like their business and cancel the comments, then claim they are from a spam bot? How else does this company make money?
Its easy for a business to flag and remove your review. They can request lots of personal information to 'verify' the purchase. The problem is why would I give a business all my information before giving them a bad review? How do I know they wont be upset and malicious? Reviews should be anonymous. Flawed website simple as that. Too many poor businesses get away with 5 star rating
At this point, I am sorry but I have very little... or no "trust" in TrustPilot. At least, not enough to send them a copy of any of my own identification. I'm not just handing over my personal information to a company that has an overall rating of less than two stars...! My original complaint was against TEMU and the scans below show the correspondence I've received from them.
I've been a reviewer on Trustpilot for so many years, writing all the reviews from my personal experiences. One day I wake up to find that my account blocked, because they send me an email "As part of our efforts to ensure that all Trustpilot reviews are genuine, we have customized software that detects unusual activity on our platform. In this case, our software has flagged that at least one of your reviews is likely to be spam."...
Without even confirming with me, or else. This is way below standard. Trustpilot is not trustworthy as it used to be anymore.
Used to be legit. I was a big fan. But now they sold out.
I was ripped off by Blueberry Markets, a FX broker. Trustpilot refused to publish my negative review. Even after I proved that it was authentic with loads of documents, they didn't put my review back on.
Reason is that these companies pay for "membership". This is how Trustpilot makes money. A membership costs from 225 to 900 USD or more:

In return, the "member" gets to delete negative reviews.
Trustpilot don't respect freedom of speech... Or your personal opinion... I've written quite a few honest reviews on a certain dating sites, And they've removed them all... Kinda makes you think that some companies are paying them to remove certain negative but honest reviews... Something is seriously wrong... And other reviews pretty much prove it...
Wrote an honest review about a product I'd bought but found foul tasting. Manufacturers asked me for Web order number and TP backed them up. However, thuis product like most people was bought in supermarket so I sent in a photo of it to prove I had it.
TP still insisted this was not a "document" despite me emailing more photos with me in picture and current newspaper.
On this basis all reviews not bought online would be inadmissible- waste of time will no longer use due to this positive bias
I have written an honest review about appleiphoneunlock.uk. As this site is known for Fraud. You can look the reviews in this site. Unfortunately, this is not what they are meant to be for.
My honest reviews were removed even though my feedback are properly backed up with proper documents. See my attached screen shots for my reply. And here's what they have to say:
"We can't allow these kinds of statements on Trustpilot because they risk causing offence to people, contravene our User Guidelines, and may also break the law."
Like what? The proof was there. Oh yeah. The site being reviewed is a premium user of this feedback site. So that is why.
I went through the trouble to add a personal review for an company that I purchase services from and their software flagged it as fake. When I submitted copies of my receipts the review was not reinstated. I have reached out to them three times, no reply. They either have horrible customer service or purposely trying to take down small businesses. If companies are going to depend on them for their lively hood then they need to step up and provide a fair service. Do NOT trust Trustpilot, their reviews are skewed due to bad management or worse, purposely.
I left a review about my car insurance being put up by £350 just for moving from a high crime city to a country village by 1st central insurance. Trustpilot demanded photographic evidence "receipts showing my personal information" to prove i was talking about an actual event and not just giving my opinion! I told them to delete my trustpilot account as i would never use their website again. There is no one more enslaved than a man who believes he is free. It seems trustpilot cannot handle free speech and cannot be trusted
Don't waste time with Trustpilot. It's an absolutely untrustworthy Danish company, intertwined with Google and boasting over 1000 employees. These scammers protect companies and delete your feedback. In return, they snatch subscriptions from the businesses. These crooks will ask you for documents, which additionally violate GDPR. They want to know your personal data, which you cannot give them. It's not easy to write a review if your business deceives you, and Trustpilot only has 'trust' in its name to deceive already unfortunate, deceived people, profiting from this. Trustpilot is an absolutely untrustworthy company, and avoid them at all costs!
They go over the top deleting customers genuine, negative reviews of companies but it appears to me very likely allowing lots of fake positive ones. I have queried the reasons behind these "deletions" and provided proof etc but they do not even get back to you.
I totally agree with other reviewers on how corrupted trustpilot has become! They deleted my genuine negative review about QD stores, and suspended my account! I have all proof of my experience in that shop so how dare they accuse me it being fabricated? Won't bother writing or reading anything anymore on trustpilot, because it's so untrustworthy now!
Absolutely terrible service. Our business faced a sea of poor reviews from the same customer with an axe to grind. Over 7 reviews in total and they have removed none of them.
If you are a business, use another review platform.
I will no longer deal with any companies that use this horrendous service. I am tired of getting constant annoying messages asking for reviews. Once I buy an item, I don't want to hear from that company again unless I buy another. Just learned it is trustpilot doing it, not the actual company. Someone please get this site off the web and let people alone
I've been reading some appalling things for last 3 months on trust pilot, love holidays are getting customers and staff to write fake reviews, one obvious reason for me to write this is love holidays only has online chat which quite clearly states that, so why is their 5 star reviews saying I spoke to a lovely lady on the phone when it's impossible, this is a daily occurrence by many fake reviews, will never ever use trust pilot again as what's the point.
Answer: Simple it is their website so they remove reviews that are negative just like how they let complains report negative reviews on their website. Trustpilot is not a good website the company allows companys to report reviews and since the companys pay them many reviews are taken off and removed..
Trustpilot has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,105 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Trustpilot most frequently mention customer service, bad experience and integrity team. Trustpilot ranks 128th among Internet Safety sites.
