We live in one house and recently sold another. Trulia uses third party information, without verifying it first, to use on it's website. It now shows the house we lived in as SOLD for the price our other house actually sold for, which is much less! People who use the Trulia site will now believe this is what our house is worth should we choose to sell it, or at the very least offer confusion. I have contacted Trulia several times and they responded with, "we use a third party to gather information and must wait for the next cycle to make corrections." When I asked when that next cycle is they did not know! When I asked them to put the old information back they would not. Notice I said "Would Not" because they cannot. Every response from them was just lip service that they were working to improve their services. Which I must point out, "Without Success!" If you are looking at sites for real estate please ignore Trulia! The information they have can easily be incorrect and no one wants false information when buying a house.

Had great communication with rep, she was telling me everything about how wonderful their program is, They communicated swiftly until the day I signed up.

Experience AFTER signing up and getting myself into a 6 month contract:
Rep Not responding, away on vacation, call back few days later. On hold forever, that you just have to hang up.
Leads are horrible, had not had one good solid lead so far, wrong info on those leads, I'm 2 months into the contract. Stopped my credit card to get their attention... and I did, they sent me an email saying your card was declined and call them for updated information.
I did... and wow, they answered the phone at first ring (wasn't put on hold at all). I got pissed and they transferred me to billing department an old man named James C. Answered... said, if I don't make payment within few days, he will send my info to the 3 credit bureaus.
Oh, and he followed up with an email... what great service when they want you to sign up and continue to make payments. It's better to sign up for all the free stuff, no need to pay extra.

The negative reviews regarding the realtors on their site are censored. When you write a negative review about a realtor on there, the review is heavily scrutinized to the point of being taken down or just not even posted at all. Their community guidelines have NO policy about reviews that are restrained, truthful and negative. If they happen to hurt the realtor's feelings then so be it, maybe change your behavior so that you don't earn more negative reviews. Once a negative review is submitted, it will likely never be posted. When you contact zillow/trulia (same shady company) about it, you will get a response from Sophie Chen of Manhattan, NY. She will twist herself into knots writing grammatically-poor and vague emails defending the realtor as if Sophie was right there when the realtor called me a **** and refused to honor the original contract we had. Sophie will claim a review that has any negative slant about a realtor they subcontract or want to lure into a subcontract deal, does not deserve to have something so hurtful as a one star review, then will attempt to pick apart the review and question if it is factual. Again, playing pretend investigator and acting as though she was there when the realtor and I had met. It's funny how the positive reviews with racist language in them aren't scrutinized but negative reviews need to be investigated with a fine- toothed comb. I wonder why the negative reviews get the "special" treatment. Realtors pay for pumped up reviews and "premier" status on those two websites and when you already have a thin skin, well, it speaks for itself. Go ahead and try to warn people about a shady realtor with a violent temper. You will find yourself in the exact same situation. Let good ole Sophie Chen know how you feel and how pathetic their customer service is while they pick apart honest reviews to protect their worthless "premier status" realtors.

This is so weird it if laughable. I pay for seller ads. I agreed to a 3 month term. Just to test the waters. I needed a very targeted area in Manhattan. One zip code! The sales agent said, I will give you extra zips as a bonus. The deal was, 8 leads a month@ $700.00 plus the bonus areas. Leads in the zip code i wanted 2, both were for price guidance, neither owned the apartment they were looking to sell. When I called to review this process i was told, Well, we are give you these extra leads at no charge! I am in NYC, the leads are 60 Miles away! They are useless to me! They correct the zip codes and guess what. No Leads at all! Then I am reviewing the list of "leads" and a pop up appears marketing me to spend more money. I type in When you deliver the service that I have already paid for. And im connected to another sales person. She asks if she can call me to review and I say yes. Instead of taking the time to address my concerns and try to deliver good client service she starts lambasting me for my concerns! My take away from this, I am not the only Broker who has the same complaint! STAY AWAY! ** was my rep!
