Never send them a dime! They purchase data to collect on out legal Statue debts. They do this on the premise of one percent of mass email people will pay them some amount of a ten year old debt. Most states the statue of legal judgement garnish is two to three years. Credit bureau only reports negative information for seven years and impact on score for three. Paying this bottom feeder does nothing and actually could negatively impact your credit score of they did report the partial payment.
I have a account with a small balance that was turned over to this company. After many attempts to pay off I called the number on line and on the letter head. The representative wanted my debit card # he would not give me my balance until I gave it to him. Beware
Watch out with this company. They took 2 large payments out on the same day and wouldn't refund my money even though it was their mistake. They didn't even send out a confirmation email to let me know they took out another payment.
I had set up a pyment plan with Trueaccord to settle an old debt and long story short, after sending them hundreds of dollars over several months, they contacted me about the same debt I had been paying on, and it had not gone down one cent. When I asked what they had been doing with the money I sent, their reps declined to address the question and simply sent boilerplate email responses about setting up an account via a toll-free phone number. Do not pay Trueaccord, they will do nothing to eliminate any debt you have - they're thieves, plain and simple.
I filed for bankruptcy and despite this plus 2 letters from my attorney this company still engages in illegal practices like sending me emails regarding my debt. My attorney went as far as to give them her info and this company continues to harass me. They are unethical and shame on them for knowingly going against the laws that protect bankruptcy filers.
After communicating via email, I was in a position to pay the debt off. It was my debt, but, they weren't harassing or threatening with me. I paid the debt and they were very pleasant to work with. Make any payment you can, they will work with you.
They are a scam. Do not give them any information about you or your financial
Accts. I was told I owed money to Amazon
( how does that even make sense!?) I called Amazon … my acct was perfectly fine. They even had an old work email as an email
Address. I made a tik tok about them
Being scammy and it got stopped bc I violated community guildlines… sus
TrueAccord sent me an email about someone else's account claiming it was mine. I had never heard of them or LVNV, who apparently turned the account over to TrueAccord. I sent them an email response that they refused to answer. Their legal staff Kelly Knepper-Stephens writes self-aggrandizing responses regarding their company but refuses to answer email sent directly to her. On my own I determined who the account they claimed was mine actually belonged to and advised them of that also with no response. They are a fraud and should be put out of business since all they do is harass people like me a senior citizen hoping to make money on stupidity. Why they tied my email account to another person's debt is left to conjecture but likely they used a computer algorithm but deny it. LVNV is probably no better, but they never sent me an email or have had any contact at all. They also do not respond to email or written communication sent to their CCO or their CEO. Also, useless bottom feeders.
True Accord is really a fraud collection agency. Settlement of $125.99 every month but they withdraw 10 times from my debit card = don't give your debit card to them just pay money order.
I received an email for pinnacle collection TRUE ACCORD.
They said I had a 1400 debt from 2006 for ALTEL and they owned the debt.
I'm really confused it has never showed on my credit scores, as most of mine are medical.
Why send an email and not a letter 18 yrs ago, and then say my email connected to the debt.
I looked and found nothing on my credit scores and as I have not ever used ALTEL.
I'm really confused.
I received an email from a Peter Martin from True Accord telling me I owed $339.91 to LVNV funding LLC (which they tell before was known as QVC). The problem with that is I have NEVER had an account, nor have I ever bought anything from QVC. They are not on my credit report. Seeing as how this debt is not showing up anywhere and that I have never had an account or used QVC, I am going to send them a cease and desist letter and ignore any further communication with them. They sound like a scam and are probably hoping people will pay them without looking into the debt.
I got a text with a link. It asked for zip code. Not attached to account.
I called she checked, "We had the wrong person". I received a collection text and they had the wrong person, unbelievable.
As far as my personal experience goes, I owed money. They contacted me via email for about 6 months. I wasn't in a place where I couldn't pay what they wanted. I started paying $5 a week on my own and all I get now is a weekly "thank you" email. This actually IS more effective with me than the people who call all ignorant towards me.
I just received an e-mail from this company stating I owe $226.16 to a company called TRS Inc., a company I have never heard of. I have an excellent credit rating and no late payments at all in many years. Where the heck did they get my e-mail and send me this fraudulent request for money?
I've received an email from this outfit (TrueAccord), claiming I owed someone $2427. 14... 1st, they claim to have sent previous emails, they didn't. 2nd, they claim I owe someone $2427. 14, I don't. They are definitely a scam outfit... my advice is to stay as far away from them as you can... definitely, don't give them any information...
True Accord (bottom feeder collectors) and AFTERPAY (installment payments) are both BIG SCAMS, and they have been successfully sued many times.
If you are ONE day late on an Afterpay installment payment, they send your info to a bottom feeder collection agency COLLECTION agency (True Accord) without even telling you.
My attorney and I have already filed our own lawsuit against them, and my attorney says they are both the worst scammers ever. AVOID.
Abusive, crass, unprofessional. They sent a ton of emails that I had to take legal action to stop. Founders are a couple of techies who are yet to learn the finer points of fair debt collection practices. (Talking about you Ohad and Nadav Samet)
Here's an example of their emails:
"Are you just slacking?
Stop that. This is serious business. If you don't handle your debt to XXXX, it could have a long-term effect on your financial standing."
My suggestion is to file a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau if you believe that your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act are violated.
Wow these Scammers said tax season's. Be Careful everyone. Not sure who they are an I almost thought this was real so again be careful
I owed on a loan I defaulted on when I had some financial difficulties. This company had been sending me emails about it for 6 months but as I seldom check email unless expecting one, I never saw them. Fast forward to recently, I was in a position to pay off my debt. I went to log in to the original creditor website and saw my account had been sent to true accord, with the contact number, website, etc given as well. I went to the website, put in my account number and it brought up my payment options. I was going to ask for a settlement offer but no need, they offered one on there. I accepted and paid it. Afterward I got a confirmation number with a note that I would also receive an email. I checked my email. There was a receipt from them for my payment stating I had settled my account and my responsibility for this account was fulfilled. Later when I spoke to the original creditor I ended up with one who was a nasty piece of work. When I told her I had paid the debt collection office she kept saying I still owed the money and was just a hateful witch. I called True Accord back, spoke with a really nice lady, who stated they indeed did let the original creditor know I had paid the account, settled it, and now had a zero balance. I ended up today, sending true Accord another email asking them to please make double sure the original resistor has the info that it's paid. I found it amazing that the debt collectors were actually nicer, respectful and professional while the original creditor acted like a donkeys butt. This debt collection agency is one that others need to look at and emulate. Working with True Accord has been a very pleasant experience. Adding screenshots of the email true accord sent with sensitive info redacted. It's so nice to know they sent that so if I have to dispute the original creditor on my credit report after the 30 das it should take for them to report it, I have proof to submit with it.
True Accord you are amazing! Please keep up the good work! Your wonderful reps are worth their weight in gold!
Answer: Yes, they will work with you with payments. They are a legit company and do have full details of company in which you incurred your debt.
