Traveluro site said electric vehicle charging was offered at the motel but when I arrived it was not. The Motel said they would approve a refund as long as I requested the refund through Traveluro. Unfortunately, it's impossible to reach Traveluro. I've called several times and either I'm on hold indefinitely or it goes straight to a busy signal.
As most reviews of this site, I've had a negative experience.
I chose a date on the search page, then on the confirmation change the date was different.
Instantly called to have the dates fixed (even a cheaper price) and told their policy is no change available.
I called the hotel and they said they were able to without a problem, called my bank and they reversed the charge.

I had to cancel a portion of my trip. One of the hotels was not going to work right for our party so I went online to cancel those days. 4 Hours later, the website was still not accepting the cancelation. The only choices the site would display were "Send Itinerary" and "Send Receipt." I needed "Cancel." They gave Server Errors when I pressed the "Contact Us" button. After 4 hours, I called. 30 Minutes on the phone later and a pleasant woman finally cut the music and spoke with me. She was competent in canceling the reservation but had to charge me $23 for canceling. It was less than 48 hours after I made the reservation; 2 weeks before the cancelation deadline; for a trip that doesn't happen until mid-January. If they had done what they were supposed to do, I would have booked the new hotel through them but after the experience they put me through tonight I will never use them. Trip#******* I have photos but your program wants them smaller and I am done messing with this problem.
They denied an unknown charge on my account. I paid for one room and then charged me a random $102 and said that I must have paid for another booking. I defiantly did not lol disputed it with my bank and it didn't work. Absolute bull$#*!.
Traveluro charged our credit card. But apparently what they do is give the hotel a different card, in this case we paid with Visa but the hotel showed a Master Card. The Mastercard of course, did not go through and was an invalid card. Traveluro customer service does not pick up. We had to pay for our room again and will be taking this up with the credit card company and fraud department.
Booked a room for a 1 night getaway on the weekend. I made the booing 3 weeks in advance. Got the verification email and trip number. The day we showed up to check into Holiday Inn, they had no record of our reservations. Even showing the hotel manager our receipt and conformation eMail from traveluro.com. The hotel couldn't do anything to help as they were fully booked.
Be aware that a one night stay for $66 will equal to $450+.total. ALSO they didn't include the cleaning fee because I thought rental fee included the cleaning fee but it doesn't. I don't have a receipt for my cleaning fee which was $189 I did over the phone.
Absolute garbage. Do not expect to get a live person on the call. The line just cuts off abruptly all the time. We had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency. We did have travel insurance which required confirmation from the operator that we never used the booking. Unable to get a response from them on such a simple thing.
We paid for a hotel close to our airport for an early morning flight and chose a specific hotel because of a parking special they had. Well, unfortunately, because I didn't take a screenshot, the hotel wouldn't accept the deal. I called and waited 15 minutes in one cue on the number provided via text to call if there were issues during check in. I hung up and called another number from online and was told that because I booked through Traveluro, they were unable to honor the special.
Never use this service. Their cheap rates are scams. We overpaid by so much money and had to scramble to find parking last minute. We stayed a collective 6 hours total in the hotel, from pulling into the parking garage to pulling out of the garage, and spent the nightly rate for both the room AND parking. $200 wasted that could have been put towards our vacation.
They cancel your reservation with no warning. Had my trip canceled then when I try to rebook the hotel is sold out for my dates, this is after I already booked flights and other activities for the area. Ruined our summer trip do yourself a favor and use a trust worthy site.
As I was leery about the rate difference they were offering vs. the other sites on a motel reservation, I was skeptical. I went ahead and gave them a shot because the risk / benefit seemed significant. I did in fact - and almost immediately - encounter a glitch which could have cost me about $80.00. I called them right away and they were very keen to correct the situation and satisfy me fully. A full 5 stars for this experience with Traveluro!
I booked to save a whopping $60. We showed up at Marriott and they could not locate booking. Called Traveluro customer service #+1 *******798. You press 4 if you are having a problem and are at hotel. No answer! So in order to stay at the hotel we had to pay again! I have contacted Traveluro by phone and email and no answer. I have disputed the charge with my bank and waiting to see what happens. $1400 down the drain! Don't waste your time!
Had a "verified booking" and the hotel ended up being completely sold out with no room reserved for me. Traveluro "could not" get me another room at another hotel. Has been over a year since this happened and Traveluro says they are still "working on" getting me my refund - still nothing, and the customer service has now gone silent. Stay far away from this company!
This was a terrible experience. I bought a hotel room thinking it was for the night but Google have a date set to the following month instead of the month we were in. (February instead of January to be specific) I've called multiple times and explains what happened and why I didn't get the insurance because I thought it was for that night and the went on and on about how the website is set up and how I didn't click the box for insurance blah blah blah.
I understand what I did, but people make mistakes and their customer service was the worst customer service I've ever had.
They did not refund me and I will never be using this company again. Do not recommend
Please, do not book with this company. They will steal your money. When they need to refund you, they won't answer your calls & will lie that they are working on your refund when they finally answer an email. Scammers big time! They owe me almost $500 & have been trying to get it from them for the last 3 months. DON"T GIVE THE YOUR MONEY! I wish we had an option for negative 5 stars because that's what they deserve!
I booked a week stay in Florida and minutes later received an email saying someone booked that room "SECONDS" before me so I lost out and they are refunding my money. There are plenty of rooms available for my dates per the hotel so Traveluro lied. They simply had low rates that were not acceptable by the hotel. Now we wait on a refund. They take your money in seconds and who knows when I get it back
On arrival there were several issues with the hotel including loss of electricity. Talked to the management and they agreed to a cancelation and full refund but said that we had to tell Traveluro to actually complete the process. So we did, and for about two weeks they gave us the run around refusing to accept an email from the hotel manager where he explicitly stated that they authorized the refund.
In short, they kept the money and ghosted us because they stopped answering emails and phone calls.
I'm not one for one-star reviews. They're often rants, and often about minor issues. With Traveluro, the issue is bigger: I made a reservation (via Kayak) with them at a San Francisco hotel, and when I got to the hotel they had no record of the reservation. Efforts to contact Traveluro resulted in an hour on the phone. Not "an hour." An actual hour. I was on hold 40 minutes, spoke to a representative who assured he'd deal with the problem, then put me back on hold for another 20 minutes before disconnecting me. Thankfully, I was able to make a new booking directly at the hotel (at a higher price). Traveluro did eventually contact the hotel... but still never put through the reservation. In fact, they gave me my "new" confirmation number -- which the hotel informed me was the reservation the *hotel* had made. I will notify Kayak to the effect that Traveluro should not be one of the travel entities on their aggregator site.
When I got to the hotel my booking was messed up. Tried calling Traveluro for 3 days with no answer. Phone kept ringing for 30 minutes several times. Had to rebook with Priceline and lost my money from reservation. DO NOT USE Traveluro!
I was on the phone for 28 minutes. Agent was trying to explain to me how "shared bathroom" is only shared if I have a companion with me…
After insisting I don't want a room with a shared bathroom he promised that he changed it to a private bathroom, just to get the email confirmation that it's a Shared Bathroom.
Also, he promised that the final price includes any and all fees. Surprise surprise! There was an additional fee on top of the price, tax and fees that they quoted on the phone.
Do yourself a favor, book with a trusted company that doesn't play games and is upfront with you about any and all applicable fees.
