We read with interest your emails regarding training our beautiful Shih Tzu, Zac.He is generally a well behaved little man and adored by Yvonne & Myself but does have a little naughty streak at times!Your emails are excellent and expressed in plain English. Your words of wisdom are common sense but like a lot of dog owners we forget that our job is to make our little friends obey commands when they do not speak English and hence have to have repetitive instruction in order to get the message. Keep up the good work.
I feel as if I'm receiving these tips just for me. It's great, they emails are not heavy with information that's hard to digest, they keep it simple yet so didactic, and it's so obvious that the author speaks from actual research and years of experience. I'm loving it, eager to learn more.
I cannot say enough how helpful and valuable everything you have sent me is! I thought about hiring a professional trainer which is quite costly but thanks to your very comprehensive information I can easily do this on my own and form a stronger bond with my puppy! Thank you so much!
Me and my puppy, Turbo, had some trouble getting him to stop jumping, and he was pretty scared. After all, we took him from his family. But I've had a ton of help and tips on here that helped us a lot. Thank you!
Great tips and ideas from trainer Sally. I really enjoyed and appreciated talking with her.
This was very reassuring. I was afraid we were doing something wrong or the puppy never would quit having accidents. Sally helped us learn about her anatomy and her brain and how they don't develop at the same time.
I have been doing so for about 2/3 days and I only seen improvement in my GSD to sit. He doesn't recognize his name is Apollo since he gets distracted very easily but he is learning some basic commands. He also is peeing on a pad or running to the door when needing to potty.
This site is very insightful on puppy/dog language. It pays to give your attention to their advice and explanations regarding your pet. I have been amazed at how effective they have been in helping me train and understand my 2 baby yorkies. They have made me see how contrary the perceptions can be in the minds of humans versus dogs and it's very necessary to know the difference if you ever succeed with your pet.
Very encouraged. As we talked, I realized all the things our little fella has learned in 10 days and that I am probably expecting too much too soon. I liked that Sally suggested "guiding" him into better manners rather than forcing him or yelling at him. Her commands and how to teach them make sense and we will work on them.
Jessie is doing well and I'm thankful for your emails and advice. She was jumping on me a lot to get attention as she's a very demanding dog. I followed your advice and turned my head the other way and sort of ignored her antics. It's working after a few tries and becoming fewer. Thank you for this.
We have had a lot of pipe training issues with our three Boston terriers and We are very headed to try these new techniques. It seems very legit and is way better than all of the other sites I have tried to search for on Google to help potty train them.
Never owned a cocker spaniel, but plenty of labs. So I knew I needed some help when it came to learning about the difference. This helps with small tips and tricks to make it easier to understand your dog abs bond with him.
I find that he's very hard headed and tends to ignore me when giving him a command. He's house training pretty good he has only made a couple accidents before we catch him. He love going outside and running around in the yard.
It seems like bait and switch. I paid for something and now I can get so much more if I pay more. What did I purchase then? Do you not stand by your original product. That is how I am reading this process, about 1 minute in.
These tips and tricks will help our dog to learn well!
Thank you Nancy for the emails I have received these past two days. They have been very helpful being that this is the first time we are having a dog and don't have a single experience in having a pet. Applying your recommendations have been rewarding, especially on seeking attention at the wrong time. Out first instinct (My husband and i) has been to play with Ariana each time she jumps on us. But ignoring her and looking away when she jumps has been working. I guess it will take a while for her to settle. We will be sure to follow the training and hope we will have a well behaved lab very soon. Thank you.
It's great to dialog! I realize now, that I have new things to learn before Louie has a chance. Louie is not getting enough sleep. His behavior when he wakes up in the morning is totally different from in the afternoon.
I will use the telephone calls often!
It's been a good three days. I got tips on how to stop my dogs jumping and a free grooming book. The only problem I would say is that you can't access any thing online, just a presentation that tells you to sign up for their membership. Nothing is really free except the emails. And I understand that this is high quality info, but at least some details should be free.
These calls are so great! I had just watched the "heel" video on the website and recognized Sally's voice, so we chatted about how she used different dogs in the videos to help us see ways to do things differently depending on our dog. I loved her use of "leave it" and will go look for the video for that.
The trainer was very helpful, and we look forward to speaking again.
So far, the emails that you've been sending me are very helpful! It's hard to ignore a new puppy, but what you taught me about not engaging when Jade jumps on me, has been working pretty well! Thank you for the tips! Cant wait for more.
