Their return policy benefits tradesy and the seller is out a shipping insurance and signature fee. I sold Brand new Chanel Sandals $625 at a 10% higher commission than other sites at 20% thinking this company was a cut above the others. So disappointing, Not deserving of sellers product.
Tradesy is the best- i have gotten several beautiful suits, shirts and jackets- authentic designer items for way less than retail. The used items are very lightly used- practically new. Great alternative to spending tons of money - but still looking stylish! I love it!
Never ever again. Selling for 4 yrs on Tradesy until they went downhill. Had to beg for my funds after sales. It now takes about 1 month, yes 30 days, to get your money once the product is delivered. Total scam. Went from 9% commission to 20%. The worst part is that if you sell, they will hold your money for longer, much longer than their so called policy says. Someone needs to file a lawsuit.
I used to love this site, not they take so much of the profit with their 20% fees and then hold your money for 5-6 weeks! I sold my beautiful wedding dress over a month ago and still don't have my money! I'm very upset, it's like I gave it away for free! :(
Should be able to rate sellers because I'm dealing with someone who is a complete flake and should not be able to sell! She's had my money for these shoes I purchased since three weeks ago and still hasn't shipped them. Keeps making excuses and now says she cannot find the shoes!
I have purchased several items and cannot believe how often sellers inaccurately describe their items. And you only have three days to initiate a return so if you're out of town for even a day or two, let alone a vacation, you are out of luck and stuck with low quality things that haven't been described accurately or just simply don't fit!
I've had so many issues I'm pulling my closet and transferring to let it go/ posh mark. Not only do they take forever to send out shipping kits, they do not answer emails and phone conversations lead to empty promises. It's the most incompetent and adolescent excuse for a company that j e ever dealt with. Additionally, they line to do whatever they can to avoid giving refunds and payouts, putting all of it on the consumer which is kind of the reason for their cut. So I'm wondering why I bother. It's like buying a house myself and then paying the agent 6%. No thanks.
Everything went to expectation. The seller was on vacation when I made my purchase, she let me know when it would be sent. She followed through with that. Got a good deal on something I had been looking for. Very pleased first-time Tradesy user.
Was kind of hesitant to use this site but decided to go for it. I purchased a $1,700 Louis V bag. When I finally got the bag (after it had been shipped out from China) it was a different bag with a different time stamp, 2 years older than the one advertised. Seller simply told me that they messed up the orders and sent my bag to someone else. I absolutely do not plan on shopping here again, as the customer service were no help whatsoever. Regretting ever even buying from here.
Tradesy as a website is AMAZING. Very prompt, professional customer service. Always willing to go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. I shop almost everyday. If I could afford it, I would buy everyday! I just got a Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 for only $480! It's beautiful. And a pair of Givenchy Shark Lock boots, I only paid $1200! They retail for $2500! You can't beat that! Almost every seller I've come in contact with seems to have very respectable, and similar values. Of course their are the bad apples. But such is life... Tradesy is awesome! If you can afford the designers and prices. Don't hesitate! You wont regret it!
Tradesy has quite stealthily sought out the demise of sellers who sale mainstream merchandise that caters to the average shopper. A few months ago they raised their commission rates from 8.9% to 14.9%. Yesterday, they sent sellers an email stating that any items sold for $50.00 or less, they will take a flat commission rate of $7.50. I believe this is a way to push out sellers who do not consistently sale high end merchandise.
Tradesy has failed to realize that most of their earnings in totality have come from lower priced items that the real world can afford. More affluent shoppers prefer to purchase new items and enjoying the shopping experience in stores. Although it may not be now, I believe Tradesy is going to regret making this decision.
Overall good experience. I gave 4 stars because there was delay in delivery and no clear communication. I received message that my purchase would be "shipped today", but it took much longer and no updates. Otherwise, things were ok. Product was as advertised.
Worse return policy ever. When bride saw dress a week after receiving, the color swatch was not the same as dress I received. Seller misrepresentation. Upon contacting customer service they "checked into it" and said nothing they could do because outside of 4 day window. No response from seller when contacted. I'm stuck with a lovely bridesmaid dress in the wrong color in addition to the correct one I had to purchase because of Tricky Tradesy's lack of concern for their customers. Won't be tricked again and I hope others will be aware of bad business!
I really like their policies and how they stand behind them. I recently purchased a purse that was over $1,000. It was not as described. Tradsey immediately refunded my money.It is nice to have a site to purchase designer products at great prices!
My very first ever order were D&G light blue Croc pumps ordered and paid for, never received. I did however receive an apology from, Tradesy that the inventory was misinterpreted and the shoes no longer available. There has been a refund to my credit card. I thank them for the prompt credit. That being said, I'd better quit while I'm ahead.
Even though I'm rather new to Tradesy, less than six months, I've been extremely satisfied overall with all of my transactions. Thank you again. I am certainly going to be a repeat customer. Overall a 5-Star rating
I have made over $150,000 in sales on Tradesy, was considered a pro seller with my own account manager. Then they slowly started making up reasons to force returns on me even if item was not misrepresented. I while ago they mandated inventory increase to avoid an increase in commission. So i went and spent thousands of dollars on new inventory. Meanwhile they come up with this new policy where they basically give themselves the space to force any return for whatever reason on to the seller while giving the buyer store credit and not a full refund as stated in their own policy.
If this isn't false advertisement and manipulation for personal gain, I don't know what is.
I removed all my 1500+ listings and will never ever go back again. Between eBay, Pinterest, instagram, shopify and google, I can sell my own inventory and not have to feel used and abused.
Sellers be aware! They close your account for no reasons! Their emails seem threatening! Poor customer service! Even worse than Ebay. Al least ppl who work for Ebay actually help you. But Tradesy does not! When you try to communicate with them, they just argue with you without providing any actual help! Also they dont have a organized system that handle arguments. They email that they provide is useless and non-responsive. There is no useful information provided through the email.
So it seems like Tradesy has a new return policy again, but this time they accept NO RETURNS. As a seller, I think it's unacceptable. Considering the fact that sellers haven't even been notified about the new return policy, I'm not even sure its Legal.
Paying them 23% for what? Nope I'm done. Selling my last pieces and out.
If they change their policy and stop accepting returns for any reason like all other resale websites, maybe I'll rethink it.
But for now, bye-bye.
Won't be surprised to see more sellers to follow.
Their level of care for their customers is amazing. They truly go above and beyond to ensure your experience is excellent. Highly recommend ordering from Tradesy. Whoever does their hiring needs a raise. Blair if there was an option for Michelin star I would give it to you!
So once upon a time I really liked this site, had pleasant experiences, but not anymore. The past two times I have ordered an item the sellers have cancelled the very next day. I called customer service and the representative could've cared less. I will not be shopping on the site again. And I agree with one of other reviews that the prices are ridiculously overrated. Most of times they want either more than what it cost new or the same. Come on folks it's second hand products!
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!

I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.

Our Partner sellers are sellers who have an excellent track record with us: an amazing inventory, tons of sales, and almost no returns and misrepresentations. After building this track record with us, we allow some Partner Sellers special perks, including shipping from abroad.
That being said, if an item arrives that is different or not accurately represented from the listing you may file a Misrepresentation Claim 4 days from delivery. There you will send the item back to us to ship to the seller and you will receive a refund in full to your payment source!
