Big promises, underwhelmed on the finished product for the price I paid.
Excellent service. They gave a detailed breakdown of CV and gave examples of how to improve it.

I made a submission to CVNOW to provide critique on my CV. The critique was consistent and proposed professional services from industry aligned experts to edit and format my CV, or that is at least how they market their services and the perception created to customers.
I went ahead and ordered the Career Evolution package. I received my first draft yesterday and I am so disappointment with the draft version I received back.
IT Project delivery was grouped together under bullet points which combined projects that wasn't related to one another (even though it was previously CV these were on separate rows), my experience, track record and skills have been diluted in the draft.
One can only surmise that CVNOW has a cookie cutter process with standardised templates and very little thought going into the process.
I have to mention that my CV was re-written by another company 18 months ago CV Centre.co.uk and the experience was worlds apart.
To add to the concern, CVNOW doesn't publish any contact number details for their Customer Support and the feedback I received from the writer was as follows.
"Hello XXXX,
Thank you for reaching out. The majority of our clients prefer to communicate through email rather than by telephone, which is why a telephone call is not a standard part of the process. Also, since written correspondence allows for you to communicate with us anytime and all written communication is stored with your project for the life of your account, this is the best method for exchanging information.
Of course, if you would like to speak about your project by phone, I can alert our support staff to give you a call."
I am still waiting for the call or correspondence from the Customer support services, after I emailed them directly.
I can only imagine that I'll receive the standard correspondence reply template back "I am truly sorry to hear that you were not happy with our services. We take all feedback very seriously and want to assure you that we'll get this worked out."
If you are in IT and you want to truly highlight your skills, rather go to individuals instead of a faceless, virtual company that operates on the premise of being a revenue hungry monster.
Please don't fall for the marketing as this lures people into a false sense of expectations...

Answer: Don't believe them Tracy! It took them 2 weeks to finally send me something, and it was basically what I had sent them. I complained and they gave my CV to someone else -- with NO rush put on it of course, and 3 weeks later I'm still without my professional CV that is supposed to come with Satisfaction Guaranteed. Only problem is they don't know what that means!
