Whilst applying for jobs on secsinthecity I was offered a free review of my CV by Katie Warren (having read other reviews I've now realised this is an automated service). I got sucked in by the initial review and forked out £149 for the premium service. The questionnaire I was sent gave a good first impression and I completed this with lots of detail. Yesterday I received my first draft from Gregory K - an expert writer from CV Now (allegedly) and I was simply astonished at the terrible quality of the first draft. It has left me with no confidence that the 2nd or 3rd draft will be any better. I wish I had read these reviews prior to parting with my money this site is a SCAM and I would urge you all to AVOID at all costs!
From reviewing my first draft its obvious that CV Nows writer had NOT read the questionnaire that I completed for their company, they did not read the CV and personal statement I sent them. The entire draft sounds as though its for someone else and I feel it encourages fabrication of your skills - this entire experience has been horrendous and Im left with a terrible CV and £149 out of pocket!
REFUND PLEASE you can keep your expert TEMPLATE CVS!

There are two parts to our free CV critique. The first part is reviewed by real CV reviewers, and are individual recommendations. The second part is the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), which is automated just like all the ATS out there. It is there to mimic what recruiters and hiring managers would see.
Our pool of writers are international, from both the U.S. and U. K., and we do not use templates for the CVs. The CV writing process requires collaboration and revisions, and our Expert writers are always working hard to revise the CV to fit your expectation as well as the industry standards. HORIBBLE! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALLL! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! They are not inline with your qualification or experience and definetly no nothing about building resumes!
The service of XING or LinkedIn profile adjustments ends when it should start, when changing the profile. The set target was not achieved.
