Delivery miscommunication
September 7, 2025

I ordered three different pollinator plants. The order showed that they would be delivered in November. Two of them arrived the next week, right before we were going out of town. And weather in the 90s with no rain. The order online says complete, but we didn't receive the third plant. Customer service says it will come in November, but who really knows. The ones delivered early died.

Previous order was great. I got 2 for the price of one. The swampweed milkweed arrived in it's dormant root state. I planted them late spring in SE VA and they both are came up and are thriving right now in September. I will be a regular customer. Thank you for what you do. Much love and butterfly blessings🌿🦋🦋🌿

Quite Disappointing
September 5, 2025

I ordered some trees for my property. Only two chestnut trees survived and growing. The rest all did not come back in the spring. Looks to me the root system was not good when arrived. SO I got half of the credit back on the trees that are dead. HALF. I place this order to give it another try on the credits I received from last year's failure. Hopefully it will change my experience. I hope they will grow as healthy as my other trees on my farm.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we truly appreciate you giving us another chance. 🌳 We’re sorry to hear that some of your previous trees didn’t make it — that’s never what we want for our customers. Bare root trees can vary in early success depending on soil, timing, and weather, but we’re confident this new batch will establish well. Please keep us updated, and if you have any concerns, feel free to reach out to help@tnnursery.net — we’re always happy to assist and ensure your planting is a success.

Perfect!
September 5, 2025

I was very impressed with how the roots were packaged and shipped to me. They were very healthy looking and once planted, they came up and started growing very quickly. The plant made it through an extremely dry summer in KY which tells me this was a very healthy plant when it was shipped to me. Thank you TN Nursery!

Dead Trees!
July 12, 2025

Purchased the end of 2024 and at that time they had a warranty of 1 year. I felt safe and commented on a positive experience at their online site. That site is closed and thinking it was an honorable company I did not take screenshots of company's comments confirming that warranty... Now 6 months later I have only 1 living tree out of the 6 I purchased... and guess what... Now they only honor a "Purchased" warranty.
Yep, that's a scam! If you buy screenshot everything.

Ordered a red bud tree from them and it took over two months to receive it. When we did receive it the tree was dead. I contacted them and was told they ship the trees in their dormant state and that the tree will bud out. The tree never did since it was dead. Once again I contacted them and got the run around. Stay clear of these company, they are the wrist company to deal with. They are scam artists!

Bought 2 crepe myrtles under the buy 1 get 1 free in fall 2024. Arrive in record time. Planted all 4, watered and waited. This spring, only 1 showed growth. Sent email to them early May, to which they responded with a claim form. Filled out, took pics as required and sent back. When I didn't hear back, I sent another email. Two days later, a claims support person emailed that they needed scratch pictures. Unfortunately, the 3 dead planted twigs were dug up and discarded, so no "scratch pics" could be provided. (Claim form never mentioned scratch pics!) Needless to say, I won't be getting a replacement or refund.

I ordered several Red Cedars, three America Holly, and three Dogwoods. Surprisingly, the evergreens, (Red Cedars and American Holly) were completely brown when received. I planted them anyway thinking maybe I'm missing something and followed the instructions. Despite following the instructions, none of the trees showed any green growth..., Two of the dogwoods never had any new growth after two months. The 3rd dogwood sprouted a few leaves and showed a little promise but leaves quickly turned brown within a few days. None of the trees I mentioned showed any sign of growth except for the 3rd Dogwood, I've requested a refund since all the trees failed, and I'm not willing to lose next growing season which would put me two years behind schedule. I'm not saying it TN Nursery is a bad company at all. I'm saying when I order plants I expect better results but my hold order was a failure and I'm not willing to wait until November before I can get new plants and no guarantee it won't happen again

I would rate a 0 if I could. I ordered plants on 3/29, had not received a shipment confirmation by 4/7 and reached out via email wanting to know a status. I was told my order was slated to ship by mid-April, so I gave it time. On 4/20 still NO shipping confirmation, so I reached out again - "Please be patient" was the response. On 4/28 I reached out again, asked them to cancel the order and refund, and was told they couldn't because the plants were being dug (response was on 4/29.) OK, not happy, but gave them a chance to make it right. On 5/1 I had still not received my plants, emailed AGAIN stating if they were dug on Tuesday, why now Thursday and they are not shipped? It is now 5/5/25, and still no shipping confirmation. I have issued a chargeback - it is too late to plant shrubs in Zone 7b. And, I live apprx only 100 miles from their location. Do NOT do business with this group. I was excited about getting native plants, but this is ridiculous!

Don't take a chance
April 25, 2025

In Jan. 2025 I purchased quantity 2 Chinese Snowball Bush plants from this site. They were purchased as a 'buy one, get two basis". Site advised that the plants would be dormant. Two plants were received in mid Feb 2025 and immediately planted in a new bed. Also planted adjacent to those TN plants was a Snowball bush purchased from Amazon. In early March I received a third bush which I planted in a half barrel. In April 2025 the Amazon plant showed several branches with many healthy leaves. The TN plants showed no sign of life at all. I contacted the nursery via their on-line form - since that is the only way that they will accept non-sales contact. I advised that I believed the plants to be dead. I sent pictures of the three TN plants and the one Amazon plant. I offered to return the TN plants. A few days later I received a curt response, - "perform a scratch test". Not familiar with that test, I replied asking for more details. After several days with no response I Googled "scratch test. Fairly simple, Cut a sliver of bark from the specimen and observe the matter under that sliver. A live plant will have a light color, or green. Beneath the sliver on each of the tested TN plants the matter was very dark brown, nearly black. Those plants were dead. I removed them from the ground. I advised TN that the plants were dead. The term "customer service" in their web address is only for sales. Their is NO customer service after the fact. The on-line form you have to use is, I presume, monitored by the boss - who is obviously too busy to attend to problems. I complained about the company via BBB and that boss had the arrogance to ignore that complaint. My review is based upon a single transaction. I think it likely that some maybe many people get what they purchased. For those that do not get what they purchased their is no recourse. WHY TAKE A CHANCE!
TN still send me regular sales mails. A legitimate site would provide an "unsubscribe" option. TN does not. My advise STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE

Trees dead on arrival
April 10, 2025

Purchased 3 varieties of tree last year. They basically arrived dead on arrival. Notified company and they told me what to do. Did my best to follow their wants. Got email that said I had not done it correctly. Bottom line, I still own dead trees and they aren't going to cover my losses. Over $150.00. I am disabled vet. Wil not waste anymore money on these guys.
