Saw a record I wanted and the listing said LOW Stock, so I quickly ordered it. Then I received an email saying I ordered an item the was backordered! Checked their site again and it still said LOW Stock- order now!
Just very upset they have such false advertising to get people's money.
Now I have to wait and hope they refund me.
Beware! Cannot trust their listed items to be accurate!
I purchased 3 albums from SoV. My 3rd time purchasing from them. This time, they sent me the wrong album. After contacting them and giving them a picture of the album, all pertinent asked for, i began a cycle of providing the same data being asked for by different people- what has finally become a 27! Email chain. Bottom line is they don't care they sent the wrong item. I can pay out of my pocket to send the wrong item back in the original packaging and they will pay me back for the shipping when they get it, and then send the correct albums. I know its only $75 worth of albums - all available at my local store- but I felt like it was a good deal. Now I paid $75 for an album I didn't want and will never do business with them again. At best, its TERRIBLE customer service, at worst, is untrustworthy company, owned by conglomerates, taking business away from small record shop owners and leaving you feeling like you taken advantage of. STAY AWAY
I recently purchased 3 albums on clearance. Only 2 arrived. I immediately sent an email hoping to get a copy sent. Nothing for a week and a half, contacted their social media team through Instagram and then I finally received an email that they will get a refund approved. 11 days later, I realize I've gotten no confirmation or refund so I email for a status. It's currently 6 days later with no response. It's been a full month since my order arrived and I first contacted them with no resolution. This company is definitely now on my "don't buy" list.
Well I will say I purchased 2 albums and only 1/2 had shipped and I am not able to get any reply from the company regarding the last album waiting to ship. No phone number only email that sends out auto reply. I would not suggest purchasing from this company unless you like to just wait on a album. Would give zero stars if a option.
This company is all good when everything goes smoothly and they get their money, but if you have even the slightest issue, be prepared for the worst customer service experience you will ever have.
They selectively respond to issues. When I asked to cancel an order, I was told it was too late bc it was shipping. When I asked for a return label for that order...well i can't tell you what they said bc it's been 5 days with no response.
I've spent a good amount of money here and have just been asking to return items i don't need.
With so many options online for purchasing records, I strongly suggest you go elsewhere.
They said they shipped my order through DHL but they didn't. With the help of PAYPAL I finally got my money back after 2 months. Sound of vinyl never helped out at all. Real bush league outfit. Stay away.
Ordered 3 albums on 02/03/2024. Received 6 albums, all the wrong albums. I sent them back on 02/23/24 per all of their e-mails (no phone service). Have not received the original albums nor a refund. This all started due to their error. I'm sure I will not get refunded and the process to get this resolved (thru emails) has been atrocious. Go elsewhere

Made a purchase in October 2022. I received my purchase approximately two weeks later. The problem is I did not receive what I actually purchased. I reached out to sound on vinyl and was asked to send a picture of what I actually received. They responded with an email stating that they would look into it. That was October. I have not heard from them since I reached out to them again early November and still have not heard from them. I reached out to them on Instagram and still have not heard from them so now I am sitting here with an album that I did not purchase and can't get any resolution on what I actually purchased. I will never order from them again I gave them a one star because that is the lowest I could give I would have preferred to give them zero stars.
I preordered a Guns N Roses vinyl and they never sent it since they declared it backordered, so technically Sound of Vinyl sold a product they were not sure they were going to get. I waited for 2 months to see in case they could fulfill it but nothing happened. I then sent them an initial e-mail to request a refund, and they answered that if I want to solve anything about the order to respond to the e-mail thread in which I was already clear that I was asking for a refund. I responded with a confirmation that I wanted a refund but they NEVER replied again. I let about 3 days go by and I send them a reminder and a 2nd request to issue a refund. I just received an automatic e-mail with a number of a case to solve the issue, but again, NO actual response or action. After 11 days, I sent them 2 new e-mails that I was going to contact my credit institution to dispute the charge if they did not solve the problem. That's were I am, let's see.

This company advertised a two LP set by The Who - The Who Sell Out - on sale for $10. I purchased it and decided to buy another record because I would be able to combine shipping and not having to pay for the shipping on the 2nd record made it worthwhile to purchase. Well it turns out, they didn't have The Who record even though they advertised it. They sent me the 2nd record which I had to pay full shipping costs for. I told them I wanted to cancel the whole order as they couldn't provide me with the original record I wanted and I asked them to refund my whole purchase and I would send them the 2nd record back if they sent me a prepaid shipping label. After several unanswered emails, they suddenly refunded me $10 for The Who record but did not refund my whole purchase including the shipping. I was stuck with paying $9 dollars for shipping for a record I would have never purchased by itself. It was there mistake and error in listing a record for sale that they didn't have and they should have refunded my whole purchase and sent me a prepaid label to sent the other record back. Extremely poor customer service and unethical business practices listing records for sale that they don't have access to! Do not do business with them!
I placed an order and immediately tried to cancel after making a mistake, no response. Order charge and it was delivered.
