The Pearl Source

It is worth every peny, just go for it! That's the first thing I'm gonna say. I live in Puerto Rico so at first I wasn't sure if i would have a good experience ( cause i never do), but this wasn't like that; from the first step of picking out the perfect piece of jewelry, to choosing the right fit for you from the material to the grade of the pearl, to the delivery... I am just glad that I chose The Pearl Source, cause it definitely was the perfect fit for me.

Got my two strand Akoya bracelet yesterday. So pretty and elegant! Going to wear them to church this Sunday.

These pearls were poorly constructed. BE AWARE THEY may fall apart at the post and pearl. Bad glue it seems? 2 pairs both fell apart over short time. Both sent back to fix and again fell apart. On the first set earring was lost (post that s glued into pearl seperated and pearl fell off costing me $800 loss). Second set sent back 2xs and now 1 month or so after receiving it 2nd time fell apart again. ***Customer service is responsive and nice(takes few days) BUT You will never be offered a refund just keep sending back items. 2nd set was over $1000. Only good news is after all this hassle and time we were offered credit to buy another pair which we did (what else to do no refund) and this pair has held up thus far will be a year soon. So due to that I've changed my rating from 1 to 2.5(3)

My wife absolutely loves the pearl necklace I got for her for our 30 year anniversary. The pearl source was great to deal with. The pearls are absolutely beautiful. I was a little skeptical about buying something like this online but they came in a beautiful box and have all the certification papers included. The only issue I had was the shipping. They say they ship second day air but I did not receive them for over a week. They were to late for our 30 year anniversary. They shipped out of southern CA and we live in northern CA. They came ground. Even coming ground they should not take that long to arrive. The slow shipping cost them a star.

Apparently there isn't any sort of grading system for pearls like there is for diamonds but you would still expect pearls described as 'the best in the world' to be close to round and have a nice shine and be free from markings. These weren't. I have quality freshwater pearls from another company so I know these are nowhere near fine grade.

I am writing my review here because I seriously doubt you guys will allow my true review to show on your website.

And why won't anyone email me back with a return form?

Ordered 8-8.5mm necklace and earrings set with another pair of earrings. Both have marks which not aligned with their AAAA quality that I paid extra for.
The website claimed "If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, return it to us within 60 Days and we will refund you 100% of the purchase price plus free returns." When I called to ask for return, the company told me they don't do international return label SO I HAVE TO PAY $200 TO RETURN the items not meeting their stated quality and price.

(I thought) Nothing is more annoying that giving a gift that you know is a dud as soon as the box opens. You know quality, or lack of, when you see it.

Emails are unanswered. Don't BS me and tell me you've been closed. Someone answers the phones with promises of a call back with your required authorization to return something. That call has not come. There is no answer on the FB account either.

I took a chance on these guys despite seeing negative reviews about them hoping some of the positive might be true. MISTAKE! Positives are fake. Look at the reviews ANNEE wrote here for these guys and all the other scammy web stores. Just click her name. What a scam.

Research these guys BEFORE y'all take the chance. I did that AFTER.

What I received wasn't the quality the pearl source claimed and I called them to return it. I've left multiple messages but nobody is returning my calls and the website says you have to get an return authorization before you can send anything back.

On my last try I left a message saying I wanted to place an order. Of course I get called back on the same day. Then I told the guy I wanted to return something and he said a return manager would call me back to give me the authorization. NO CALL!

I ordered a Hanadama bracelet with 18k clasp, Hanadama earring posts 18k, AAA Pearl and diamond drop earrings 14k, AAA Pearl and diamond drop pendant 14k with 18k gold chain and a AAA Pearl and diamond ring 14k.The pearls themselves seem nice, but the construction of the items leaves a lot to be desired. Particularly the bracelet, the most expensive piece of all. The clasp is not secure, poor construction. And, for the price paid for the other pieces, they just are not worth it. There is a cheap feel and appearance. I cannot recommend purchasing from The Pearl Source and I will not be a repeat buyer.

Unfortunately I'm unhappy with my The Pearl Source purchase, even though the item looks nice, because they didn't send me the certificate that was promised:

"All of our products come with our Certificate of Authenticity, which guarantees that the pearls and jewelry you receive are 100% genuine, and have never been treated or enhanced in any way.

Each certificate is signed by one of our pearl experts, and details the size, quality, luster and color of your pearls and jewelry."

The printed card I received is not signed, it's a print copy. It does NOT specify

It's not like the picture of the cerificate on the page of the jewelry I purchased. That one is a proper certificate that specifies all these and supposedly has a real signature.

This is unlike any of my other certificates from other companies.

There was no link to write a review except this page. I called them but they were not available, I left a message with the answering service person, I wasn't told when I'd receive a call back.

I have not been able to return theitem so far because there is no return slip and I haven't been able to reach someone on their phone.

I read alot of reviews prior to buying from pearl source. I also had a hard time finding any genuine customer photos of the pearls they have bought. Only one picture on Facebook, one on this site and no others. Even instagram is all marketing and photo shop images nothing legit to look at. So in the end I took a chance knowing I could return them if I was unhappy.

I initially purchased a multicolour pearl necklace and matching multicolour pearl bracelet. I bought the cheapest and most popular option. I have no prior experience with pearls and it was a gift for my mother for Christmas. The package arrived in 8 days due to covid and xmas period and both were in nice boxes with printed authenticity. My mother adores them. As we are not pearl people they look lovely to the naked eye and we cant tell if they are of bad quality. My mother has had nothing but compliments wearing them and has no complaints so I am happy. I understand people are unsure on quality. If you buy pearls often and understand visually what they should look like at any grade then pearl source may not be for you. But if you are like myself, I am very happy with how they look. Both pieces have not fallen apart and my mother has warn them pretty much every day since Christmas.

Since then I have also purchases two sets of my own pearls from pearl source. The white pearl necklace with whit pearl bracelet and the pink pearl necklace with pink pearl bracelet. Both options are the smallest, cheapest and most popular sets. They were purchased two days ago and are already in Singapore for transit to Australia. I have purchased the warranty both times and I was able to use a 20% discount found online via discount site to get $205 off my complete purchase. I doubt I will be unhappy.
