I've had the same problem as everyone else. Has anyone gotten any compensation for this? I'm so disappointed and upset that I ordered almost ALL of my gifts from here and nobody will be receiving them INCLUDING the gifts I ordered for my grandmother who will sadly be having her last christmas this year. Unacceptable. If you knew you were going to give away these steals and that so many people would take advantage of them, why wouldn't you have better business ethics and plan more accordingly by matching the staff level with the high volume of orders coming in.
As a bride to be, it is easy to be overwhelmed by all the books, magazines, and websites.
If you're a list maker like I am, and need to streamline everything down to the basics so as not to be all over the place-- this is the only book you will need.
It's a tiny book, but packed with only the necessary information you need to plan your wedding from...
My fiancee and I took pains to make sure that our wedding was a personal, small, and private event and made sure that we did not put any information about it online in a publicly accessible page. We initially did not even create a registry but eventually did so at the request of a family member with a vendor that allowed the registry to be kept private. Even though we specifically selected the private option for our registry, Theknot obtained our registry information from the vendor we were using and proceeded to publish every detail about our wedding on theknot.com including the location, date, our full names, and registry. Theknot took advantage of our wedding information despite our specific selection of a private registry so that they could increase traffic to their website. Theknot's actions are a violation of privacy laws and a misappropriation of our names and private information. We are seriously considering suing this company in a class action format.
Don't know where to start! All I can say is Monique made my Daughter and Son In Law's Wedding a Day to Remember. My Daughter and Son In Law live out of town, and it made it a little difficult for my Daughter to plan her wedding with her busy schedule. With Monique's help and attention to detail we got it done. She was by my side the entire time. I have been receiving outstanding compliments on such a wonderful wedding. I had a vision on how I wanted my daughter's wedding and Monique went way Over and Beyond my vision. She is such an outstanding Wedding Coordinator. She made my day (mother of the bride) stress free. Thank you Monique
I signed a one year contract to advertise my chocolate business for wedding favors. As many others have said... a customer would have had to click through 12 pages just to find my page. I put the name of my company in the search box and still couldn't find it! I did not get one comment, call, or query during the whole year. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
The Knot, was the best choice I have made for my Son's Wedding. The cake was delicious and the design was very special just for my son and the bride. Ms. Myra was very passionate about her craft. My grandson want her to do his birthday cupcakes. Thank you so much Gloria
Just a word of caution. They use another party for booking rooms for guests. If a hotel is giving guests a special rate, call the hotel directly. The Knot website says to book the room and use a code. But when you book through them you do not get the special rate, if fact you pay considerably more. When you try to straighten it out, the Knot is not at all helpful. You have to call the hotel booking service they use, and they tell you it is non-refundable. I would not recommend them at all.
I have created a draft website (password protected of course), i have not registered with any retailer and i have chosen that the site does not appear in google searches and YET it does! I thought the website will be available ONLY to the people i will give the link to, when it s ready and I send the link, together with the password! Yet, to my surprise, when i search for my name on google, The registry appears! (I have not registered with any retailer!) The link and the short description reveals our names and the wedding date and place! For personal reasons I do not wish to have this information publicly available! Not only The Knot is not able to remove this link from google searches now, but I have neither been informed nor asked permission for this info to be on the web upfront!
The knot is horrible to work with. All my emails go to the same place and members of the knot team take turns answering my questions and passing me on to someone else. They refuse to share manager phone numbers/ emails and it's a horrible inefficient company to work with.

This site has allowed me to plan my wedding from many miles away. There are so many resources, ideas, etc and the community allows me to bounce ideas and get recommendations from other brides. This site has been a godsend!
This company is a total sham. DO NO USE them! They create fake profiles and false leads to make you think people are looking at your site. WRONG! They con you into thinking they are there to help you and they are not. They should be called The NOT because they do NOT say what they are going to do. I was a vendor and they set me up and have been sending me false leads. No one responds back because it's a fake profile. No wonder. And they set me up on auto-pay without my permission. WARNING do not use them!
Hi Melda, thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can look into this issue and help you find a resolution! Please contact our Support team at support@weddingpro.com, who will help you with this.
Anyone can RSVP on anyone else's behalf. The only thing they need to know is the full or partial name of any other guest.
Also any guest can see who else is invited and who is not:-(
Dont stop the music, did an excellent job at my wedding on Oct15,2017. Two weeks later and I still have my guest talking about my MC and the DJ. They are professional they were punctual, and most importantly they were absolutely everything we were looking for, on our special day
The Morgan Creek Barn is Aubrey has been a fantastic venue! The staff and venders have been super helpful and easy to work with! Chelsea C has been amazing on helping me keep everything organized and together for our big day. I couldn't recommend this venue more!
I'm a vendor and I totally agree with review of Austin G. The Knot has is paying people / bloggers to initiate contact with vendors. They show interest in your services, but the communication stops after a vendor responds. It happened to me for several month. It happens to most vendors. I started saving all e mails received through the knot. In several month I have advertised with the knot, I have not received one e mail from a real potential client and have not booked one wedding through knot. When I tried to end my advertisement early, I received the same answer most vendors on here got - must stay till the end of agreement.
I don't understand one thing. How can a company that is scamming so many vendors and brides stay in business for so many years? This doesn't seem right, does it?
Weddings are beautiful amazing experiences and equally stressful. The most STRESSFUL part of my wedding has been utilizing this site. If I could give it negative stars I would.
I made the mistake of using it early on and now that I have sent my invitations and people will be coming to my site and I CAN NOT EDIT IT. There are numerous things that need to be updated and guess what... there is NO possible way to contact a living human being in order to tell them that the back end of there programming isn't working. My wedding party is non-existent. There is no link. There is no one to contact. Therefore, it apparently will continue to be the incorrect information until I get married.
If you have a quality product-- let your audience contact you! Whoever is in charge of the "costumer experience" should flat out be out of a job.
People experience "love at first site" once in their lives, and some people never do. I have experienced it twice. The first time I met my partner and knew I would marry him, and when he and I walked into the Stonebridge Country Club in Smithtown. As a gay couple, we had experienced an incredible amount of bias during our search. It was not the case when we met with Gary Schneider. We felt as though we were welcome and appreciated.
Although our wedding was last summer, we feel that its never too late to say "thank you".
We say loudly and clearly, that our experience was beyond wonderful.
The food and the service was 5 star quality, and the ballroom was stunning. No stone was left unturned, and no detail was overlooked. If we could give 10 stars we would!
Thank you Stonebridge! You made our dreams come true.
So, the site is really helpful. The timeline list thing is a great guideline. The free wedding website thing is helpful and sometimes they have some good advice. Some people have said that you can't delete anything and I've not had this problem. Our wedding date changed and it changed ok, but I've not gotten married yet so I've not needed to take anything down.
That being said, I would avoid the forums. It's like any forum. A lot of people there want to be jerks.
Weddings are different from culture to culture and family to family (couple to couple of course). Therefore, something that is acceptable or expected in one culture is frowned on in another. People on this site don't know that and will jump down your throat if they disagree. If you need advice, talk to actual humans.
I tried to leave a review about a homophobic venue refusing to service a friend's wedding. The site refused to post the review because I wasn't the specific person impacted. They didn't question the authenticity of the claim just my right to post it. Using protocol to hide homophobia is just as bad as the original incident. The Knot only cares about protecting the venues that pay money for thier services. They care nothing about providing individuals with accurate information about the venue they are considering for thier wedding.
Hi Jessamine,
We are so sorry to hear about your experience with this vendor! It sounds like our team may have missed something in your review, we do have a strict non discrimination policy for all vendors and users on our site. When you have a moment, please email our Policy Team at policy@theknotww.com with the subject 'Non Discrimination' and as much detail as you would like to provide about your experience.
None of the "features" on this site work properly or at all. They must have on hell of a marketing/PR department bc there is no way word of mouth made this site popular. Basic functions like filters for search functions do not work (at all). More complicated functions, like building your free wedding website, are a cluster$#*! of errors and poor programing.
How is this site a thing!?!?!?
Please save yourself the time and frustrations and just find a different *working* website.
Cheers
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
Answer: Tell them the same thing they say to you when you contact them for help in any way! "I don't think it is in our best interest! You are on your own... Good luck with that!"
The Knot has a rating of 1.7 stars from 390 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with The Knot most frequently mention customer service, credit card and wedding wire. The Knot ranks 79th among Wedding Planning sites.
