After ordering coordinating invitations, we discovered that the website had major problems. No help from their FAQ. No response from customer service for DAYS. When I searched further, i saw that these problems have been occurring for over a month (since Sept2019) and hundreds of unhappy comments. Including guests who could not RSVP or RSVPs that were lost.
We went with another website, ordered all new invitations and lost hundreds of dollars and weeks of planning.
My son used this for his wedding day. They said they took care of all accommodations, venue, food and so on. I used them to create the hotel reservation. My mistake. I should have gone directly to the hotel. They made the reservation under the wrong name. I tried to resolve it through them and they said they "didn't understand why the hotel wasn't seeing the reservation". Super helpful to have someone you're calling to solve a problem say "yeah, that looks like a problem alright, let me stick my head back up my rear end and see if I can find a solution". I'm now at the afternoon of the wedding and need a place to stay that night. I asked them to cancel my $600 a night reservation and they said they would and refund the money. I make other arrangements. Later that night, they send me an email saying they resolved the reservation problem. I respond and tell them I made other arrangements. There response... I'm sorry there are no refunds.
By any means do not work or use the service of this company. They do whatever they can to get money from you. As a vendor they stick you in a subscription based service and put you in a contract without telling you first and if you try to cancel they do not allow you to. Again, DO NOT use this company!

I wish i could give no reviews. I tried to take my website down and cancel my account but it's nearly impossible. I didn't even ask to publish my website, I just clicked some information in and it populated and published to the internet! Now they won't stop spamming me even though I've emailed them to delete my account because it's nearly impossible to find a place to delete your account on their site. I'm glad I found this to see these ratings before I ordered anything from them. IT's a shame that the general public finds this website reliable.
I ordered shotglass. The some of the product came in broken. Most of all the quality was cheap. The script you could not read.
Tried to get the Knot to do something, They would not honor their product. They did not care. Do yourself a favor and do not use the knot for anything

Back in January I booked my hotel stayed for a destination wedding were I was braid's made., the wedding was held in June, when I arrived to the resort there was no reservation under my name, thankfully I brought my credit card with me and I was able to booked and payed for my stay otherwise l would have to stay on the street, off course I ended it paying 1,000 more, I spent the rest of my vacations calling them and always the same thing explaining over and over the situation.
At the end of my stayed they refunded me what I initially payed and said they will cover the difference but this never happened
This company it's no reliable at all don't waste your time and money.

Save time and energy and not use this site. Used for my wedding and it's horrible. Customer service is horrible. One big major prob was the fact my guest couldn't RSVP and add their plus one. Follow this: if they typed in their first name only (no last name) there was an option to type in their guest names. If they typed in first and last name they could not add a guest. This was also if you had your RSVP as public vs private and a chance you would get duplicate the RSVP.
Seemed easy and great first but then when I'd start updating different events like engagement party, bridal shower, wedding or reception the dates would get messed up. My engagement party date somehow got changed to the wedding date and they're months apart. Zola was wayyyy better
SUCH BAD SERVICE. Impossible to contact. Do anything but this. So so so so unprofessional. Tried so many different ways to contact them and they don't answer me. So so so bad. Try anything else but this website.
Horrible business. If you are a wedding vendor ie. Photographer, dj, venue, coordinator etc. DO NOT use the KNOT they will provide you with 9 out of 10 Fake Leads. They tell you you can cancel if it doesn't work out but you can't. They will tell you they don't send people to collections, then you will get calls from collections! They will tell you they are sorry you were given misinformation... DO NOT USE THE KNOT. Or any other service run by the knot. There are a lot so look it up, and don't do it.

My daughter put an honest bad review of a vendor on The Knot to inform other brides of how that business operates. The Vendor got the Knot to remove the bad review. So basically, you can't rely on the reviews that are posted to the Knot as you are not seeing the true bad reviews.

Your website absolutely $#*!ing sucks! i will never recommend this website. it keeps crashing and it keeps erasing stuff ive all ready posted. if i hadnt all ready wasted 6 months on the site i would have erased my account and gone elsewhere.

Our website came out beautiful, and the site is user-friendly and free.
Our RSVPs were trackable, our policies were clear, and using the email platform and app were also great additions.
I love that we can hyperlink to articles and include photos on the platform as well. We also utilized the budget planner and registry function a lot.

This is a great site to gather information from... and I was excited about the RSVP side of the site. However, I would not recommend using this site for your RSVP. The RSVP option allows quests to add themselves to your list if they are not listed. My email is attached to the site, but I have never received one email from them. They have no way to track people who have been adding their names to my RSVP and have pretty much told me they are sorry, but they don't have that information. Their costumer service has not been helpful at all and I have and am still trying to figure out why I am not getting emails. The only thing they did tell me was that it was not a problem on their end. Maybe this is because I did not buy a website from them and am using the free service. But they have lost me on this one. It's frustrating.
I have to join the other voices below in complaining about the total lack of customer service and the inability to meet the 'delivery by Christmas' claim for orders placed during Cyber week. I ordered on 12/2 and just received a completely generic "as you have seen the update on our site' excuse email conveniently after I filed a complaint with the BBB. I had sent two previous emails that went unanswered until I filed this complaint. VERY poor customer service and now I won't have a gift for a family member for Christmas.
We (Jack and Susan) are in our seventies and had our wedding reception Oct 3,2015 at Steele Hill Resorts in Sanbornton New Hampshire. Penny Miller and her staff were extremely helpful with all the details to make our wedding day very special. The recommended vendors were excellent. Thanks to all that helped make the event a success..
I wish I read these reviews before placing my credit card and signing on the virtual line. They overpromise and mislead. Very unprofessional and useless company to work with.

THIS SITE IS A FRAUD!
Wedding Pros, the parent company that owns theknot.com and weddingwire.com, are strict with their contract and will not give any grace period even though there are government-sanctioned lockdowns.
I asked to pause my contract and they refused even though they are aware that many couples are unable to book events. They basically received a free $3600 from me for me to put my name on their website.
While I got leads, none of the leads are materializing because the lockdowns continue to get pushed further and further back.
There is an "end-of-business" option to opt-out but they require you to take down your entire online presence.
Sign the contract if you want to feel like Prince getting screwed over by his record label and a random entity having control over how you advertise your business.

We decided to use TheKnot after friends of my fiance used it last year and to save money on wedding invitations. I wish we had just spent the money and sent invitations! I also wish I had read reviews prior to using this site. Setting up the website was okay, however we sent the RSVP's and many people did not get the invite despite sending them twice. Those who did get it the link provided in the email did not work. Now, I just get a message from a guest that the location is not on the site. I had the location on the site and now suddenly it just DISAPPEARED out of nowhere... 25 days before our wedding! Ridiculous!
I was a vendor with weddingwire for 8 years. Weddingwire had excellent customer service,easy platform to communicate and send pdfs. I ttued the knot for 1 year and didnt like the customer service (no one picks up the phone or responds to emails)A few years ago weddingwire was absorbed by the knot and the quality of service has been horrible. No one responds to emails or answers the phone or calls back as promised. It a nightmare responding to potential clients. You can no longer attach pdfs. They claim its a "glitch" a glitch that has lasted since they joined forces. It is no longer an easy, helpful resource it once was. I can't even get anyone on the phone or email to cancel advertising. My credit card is in disputes with them but has not received a response. Don't get yourself entangled with this company uts frustrating, time consuming and costly.
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
