The only thing I took issue with is that I had the bike shipped as a gift and paid $69.00 to have it fully assembled. But the handles and one other part had to be put together. Otherwise, the bike is great!

It was hard to tell for certain if I was making a wise purchase. Reviews were not plentiful so I researched the product in other sites. I was so excited when I tried on the jacket and saw the detail and quality!

I have never been treated worse for a company's own mistake. I ordered a snowboard "overnight" and paid the $60 extra but received the board 5 days later, not in time! Then was told it was delivered and no refund on shipping? I had to escalate the phone call just to eventually get the shipping refunded. What a waste of time and I feel so disrespected by rude, rude, rude, customer service rep. BEWARE!

The House Rules

I have purchased snowboards and lots of outdoor gear from The House over the years but I was hesitant to purchase a paddle board online. They are so big! But I was unable to find the board I wanted locally and the deeply discounted Naish was too good of a deal to pass up. Very impressed with the speedy shipping, the free paddle and that the board arrived safely. (The board was shipped in a really big, sketchy looking box but was packed really well: zero damage / scratches = perfect.) I was already a loyal customer but I will not hesitate to buy another board or other big piece of gear from The House. Thank you!

I ordered two coats from the house and they are both what the descriptions say. It was easy to find what I wanted, the size, color, and all that. This is my third purchase from this place and it definitely won't be my last!

They dont send you shipping label. I was told how much my return would cost (I asked bc I was ordering something heavy and I dont live close) and it turns out they dont handle return shipping at all. Just give you the address. No good.

I splurged and ordered a $240 pair of Smith ski goggles - confirmed on the email receipt and all. However, I was sent a pair of $90 Quicksilver ski goggles. I have contacted customer service 4 times now over the course of 3 weeks, and I still have yet to receive a reply. I was also charged for the full $240, so they essentially robbed me. I will never use The-House again.

Bottom bracket failure
August 27, 2018

I ordered the framed witness and am blown away with the bike. Great product, price was super affordable for a full chromo bike and looks amazing! Only issue was the bottom bracket malfunctioned on first ride, but I contacted The House and Framed online and they're shipping a replacement bottom bracket to me. I'm going to invest in a sealed bb, but otherwise this bike is amazing as is The House and Framed Bikes... thanks guys for the price, product, and customer support! I'll definitely be shopping here again.

Ok not excellent

I got the correct item but the package was all torn up and broken. The free sunglasses were of very low quality but they were free. The skis were not in the registrar but were real. Package was broken open and poor safety packaging to keep skis from hitting each other. It was as I expected however.

Broken bike
June 22, 2018

The bike in a damaged box. The corner of the box was crushed and it looked like old damage based on the condition of the tape. The bike had a broken fork, almost snapped in two. Before you would send me a new fork I had to go to the bike shop and get the old one, pay $5.00 for a box, and ship it. I did this yesterday and I still have not been notified that the new fork is on it's way. It will be July (hopefully early July. Before I can ride the bike I ordered June 7. I should be reimbursed for the cost of the box and for my time.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
December 15, 2021

I have ordered winter wear 3 weeks back and they are yet to arrive. I called multiple times and they do not even answer and put you on hold. I emailed and no responded. I tried to chat and I was told it is being shipped for the last 4 days. I still do not have an answer as to when the order will be delivered. It is FRUSTRATING and very POOR service.

Buyer Beware!

Buyer Beware! Return Policy for Altrec is Terrible! Still waiting for a credit on my credit card for a return I did 4 weeks ago! Customer service when I call - Do Not Care At All! Beware even when you order from Amazon- it is the same return policy not good Amazon return policy. Buyer Beware of buying anything from Altrec that you may need to return for any reason!

I bought a jacket from them and they delivered to the wrong address. Their customer service took 4 MONTHS to get back to me about it and by then the item was long gone. I bought the only one apparently and they just turned it back into the warehouse and sold it to someone else without even saying a word. They also didn't automatically refund me even though they resold the jacket. I waited 5 months to get a refund for my purchase. DON'T DO IT! By far the WORST site I have ever bought from. ZERO customer service.

Returns

I bought two items ( lightweight tops). Keeping one, and don't like the look of the other one (didn't even try it on). So want to return it and the return fee is 20% of the purchase. This is a very lightweight, non-breakable item. Very disappointing..

I like the selection of goods on this site. And the sales they have are actually sales. Go figure. I do with they had full selection of boards from the top producers. They sometimes just have what they think will sell. But not all the boards they make.

They have a screening method during the payment for different reasons I could not pay with three different cards, I had to use the pay amazon method. Not happy at all, because I was during one week trying to buy a board...

Great Customer Service
February 3, 2018

We were a little disappointed when we received the email about our order being canceled because the helmet company discontinued the helmet we purchased. We then contacted The House and our customer service rep. Was awesome. She apologized for our inconvenience and did everything possible to help us find and chose another ski helmet for the same price and in her opinion better quality. It shipped immediately and got to us the next business day. She was friendly kind and sympathetic to our issue and did everything possible to make our shopping experience a success. My daughter loves her helmet!
