After getting the proper understanding of what I needed I was provided with a link to resolve my issue.
I was trying to call someone and they were just no answering... But thanks to TextNow, I was able to trick my "friend";into answering the phone. Lol!;Avoid me NOW!😝SUCKA!

This app is a scam when I tried to use my phone number to unlock my Twitter account and it said the phone number was invalid! Please do not use this app it is a scam!
When I couldn't pay my phone bill and I couldn't figure out where to go to make a call.There are no payphones and I have a phone.Just didn't have the money to activate it.Thank god for text now.

This is first hand true real information as of 10. 19. 18.
1. Used gift card to purchase phone with service promo until the end of the year. Card was rejected but funds were taken anyway. Theft outright!
2. After contacting bank phone was sent right away to avoid fraud prosecution.
3. No real customer phone number to speak to someone about account or support only chat. Hiding behind computers
4. The company is located in Canada which is outside the jurisdiction of USA law which is not worth fighting unless your wealthy.
5. They tried to access my gift card funds without my consent yesterday but were blocked. Another theft attempt.
6. App is always trying to dominate my phone and keeps resetting itself until I disable all google garbage crap from the phone and took away all permissions except messaging.
7. Too many friggin ads which is supposed to prompt you to upgrade. NOT!
8. Wouldn't port my number in and gave some lame $#*! excuse of why they couldn't do it.
Final thoughts: these bastards are out right thieves and you take a great risk in giving them your real bank account info thus the gift card which is controllable from your end.
Once funds are depleted the number is toasted. That's why these A**holes won't accept them as payment for phones or services. Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware.

Charge of $69.99 (in picture) was never authorized making this company straight thieves! (tried to sneak $70 bucks of my funds behind my back but were blocked!)
They just made the site not functional anymore. All I used to do to get in was log into the site and now they took that away. NOW, I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE FREAKING APP AND HAVE IT USE UP ALL OF THE FREAKING SPACE ON MY COMPUTER. The worst part about it is that they just sneaked this in without telling ANYBODY!

I've been getting these weird messages from a dating app I use called Tagged. Each message comes from a girl using 1 photograph on there profile. The conversations always start out quite normal but what concerns me the most is that every single girl that is messaging me who gives me there phone # has a (786) area code. I find it hard to believe all the girls talking to me have the same exact area code and not to mention when I reverse the phone # it show's there all voip #'s, From (Doral Florida), associated with textnow. If your unfamiliar with the app. It is a 3rd party software that offer's free texting or calls to it's user's. Be aware and alert. These scammers are getting smarter these days. They lure you in, talk to you like a normal person, wait for you to let your guard down and take advantage. I thought thing's we're going well at first but the minute stories began circulating about how they needed money for mysterious tragic event's happening in there lives. Things took a turn for the worst and many red flags we're drawn. Don't let these people fool you. If it sounds to good to be true or if you get a strange feeling. Trust your instincts or avoid the situation at all costs.

TextNow has become a welcome tool in my everyday life. The option of changing your number with ease is very helpful.
I have terrible service, my calls are always dropped or rejected. My phone freezes up just for the hell of it. At any time it feels like it. I just don't understand.
DO NOT USE THIS APP. IT IS A FRAUD! THEY stole my money and lie about the account not being linked to the purchase. I sent proof of apple receipt and proof of the account i use for textnow and they refuse to refund me and keep giving me the go around. DO NOT USE THIS APP
Thought this was a great deal 40 a month for unlimited. The unlimited is is 23GB LTE which is usual for unlimited, but usually after you use the 23GB you get a slower speed 3g or 4g. With this company you only get 2g, which is so slow you just give up on trying to do anything. On top of all of this I can't make a phone call. The people I call can't hear me. Twice I tryed customer support. Was told both times I would hear from then in 24 hours. First time I never got a response, 2nd time I call again after 4 days, this time I got a response. They told me I should check their web site and see if I could find something there that would resolve the problem. I also told them if the problem wasn't resolved I'd have to get a different company. Their response to that was they were sorry if I had to leave. This is probably the worst customer support I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more and go with Cricket or Metro Pcs.
I have a text now phone but no service. So I wanted to use it on sprint. It can't be unlocked. They have put their software in it and you can't get rid of it. Stay away from TEXT NOW.

I have 2 text now phones I gave to workers who didnt have phones and they will be replaced this week... I have given this number to many people who have no other number to contact me and I'm not sure what to do as I've never lost a phone number unexpectedly without providing another number for correspondence... this sucks and I will review them on every site so nobody finds out how easy it is to lose your number if you miss a email... funny thing is I wouldn't paid to get it back but it's already given away the day they took my number from me...
