Everything as advertised and expected, no issues whatsoever
This site usually has the highest buyback offer quotes and the process is user-friendly, easy, and efficient. Communication is top notch. On the rare occasion when a book is rejected due to condition, the assessment is fair.

Terrible website for textbook buybacks! I sent in three books with a quote of $154, but they only paid me $11! They said one book had water damage (which was true, so I'm not complaining about that), and they didn't give me a reason why they wouldn't accept the other book. I emailed them to ask, and they said that my other book had "a strong odor" so they couldn't accept it either. This book was rarely used and in perfect condition, so they straight up lied to me. It will sell for $70, but now I don't have the book or the money! And I have to pay $20 shipping if I want them to send my books back to me! This is a scam!
Avoid them! Sent them a great book and they wouldn't pay for it because of two pages of writing. Then I paid for the return shipping and got a book back that wasn't mine and had sticky notes and lots of writing and highlighting. I told them and they just kept telling me there is nothing they can do and that it was sent back the way it was received - it was clearly not. They showed me pictures of my book when they received it and it was in the same condition I sent it to them. They took it off their reject pile and kept my book. Liars. They rip you off and you are helpless.

I sent my book back and didn't hear back from them. When I contacted them they said they received the label but they were not my books. When I asked what books they received they have refused to answer. DO NOT USE THEM!

Worst customer service EVER! The order was lost in the mail. Not their fault not our fault. However how a company handles unexpected situations can make or break the customer experience. TextBookRush chose option B: The customer experience is not the most important thing. USPS confirmed that they believe there is a problem with the order. TextBookRush.com wanted us to wait 30 days before they would do anything about it. Already failing quizzes due to lack of books! Had to buy books outright from the school just to be able to participate in the class. So not only did I have to pay to rent books that I still don't have but I also got to buy them anyways! Sound like something you want to do? Absolute waste of my time and money. I suggest to anyone that needs to rent books to avoid textbookrush.com at all costs. Very poor customer service. What text book rush SHOULD have done was said "We agree that this is unacceptable. We will overnight you two replacement books and iron out the details on the first order later". Instead they effectively said "sorry about your luck... good luck in your classes without the books that you rented... we just don't care". What they can do to improve is find the person who came up with this customer service policy and fire them. Then put in a policy that puts the customer service experience first. Customer satisfaction should be your number one priority. No customers... no business. I see now why they don't offer phone support. That should have been my first clue. AVOID THEM and maybe you will save yourself some peace of mind.

Answer: My main complaint with this company is that they agreed to take my returns/trade-ins that were brand new books, but then later they said the (new!) books were unacceptable and refused to say why. They sent them back to me and I sold them to another company, who gave me no trouble or shady answers. I would suggest Amazon student- they deliver exactly what that say, and are fair about returns and trade-ins.
