As a regular customer of Tesco groceries, I decided to invest my credited points worth £20 on Tesco Direct shopping partner site. However the site would not allow the voucher codes and after several phone calls and a week of waiting still I did not manage to get the credit off. I did shop for items worth £27 which meant I would have to pay only £7 but the cost of phone calls resulted in me spending £47 for the same items including the discount. The customer service and the manger refused to credit me for the inconvenience as well or to refund the call costs. So I would never recommend anyone to spend the voucher points earned on Tesco groceries on the partner site Tesco Direct. Stay well away from that part of exchanges. Extremely useless. Apart from that Tesco Direct is as good as you would imagine.
I have used Tesco's Direct three times now, one for a bike for my son's Birthday, once for a mobile phone and once for a video game. Delivered on time every time. They even send you text messages to let you know where your order is and when it will be delivered. Will defo be using them again over Christmas.
I used Tesco Direct for the first time recently, to purchase a sofa for my flat. Never again.
It has now taken four attempts by Tesco Direct (and it's third party contractor, Arrow XL) to deliver the sofa, and the job is still not finished. The first two times, the wrong sofa was delivered. The third time, it was the right sofa, but damaged. On the fourth attempt, it was the right sofa, undamaged, but, despite assurances (from both Tesco Direct and Arrow XL) that the damaged sofa would be collected, this never happened. Tesco Direct is unable to explain why, or, it seems, to confirm when/if the collection will take place.
While the customer service staff are always polite and sympathetic l when i call them, the assurances they provide simply don't happen, largely because they seem to have no control over what happens at the warehouse, nor with respect to the activities of their third party delivery company. I have now wasted considerable time, chasing Tesco and waiting for the delivery of the sofa, and it is clear I will now need to waste further time for the collection to take place (if, in fact, it does).
Having had this experience with Tesco Direct, I would strongly urge anyone considering purchasing deliverable products from them to go elsewhere. Their furniture may be well-priced, but it's a false economy when you end up spending as much wasted time as I have waiting for them to do what they say they; re going to do.
I suppose Argos started all this buying from a catalogue, but for me Tesco Direct works better. They have a more settled range, and they don't try to be all things to all people.
Cannot fault tesco, always deliver what you want, customer service is always top notch, if you have a problem they always are polite and friendly, tesco is one of my alltime favourite shops
Good price of food and very good quality of products, freach meat and fish, nice price of fruits. I made shopping with my parents and they love Tesco to
Bought 3 rolls of Christmas Paper wrapped with a peelable label. Rubbish doesn't peel and ruined the paper, good one.
After three weeks I finally received my delivery. I was told 7 days when I orders. The customer service wasn't that good. I wont use them again.
Rip off prices for gripper, door plates and underlay. Every little only helps Tesco's aim at world domination, don't be fooled/
