I received two items from the company, one had to be returned because it was for the wrong grade level. Got an email saying they will send the correct one out while they reach out to the books' publisher. Sent numerous emails, no reply, calls go unanswered and voice mail box is full. Very poor experience with this company and will not be doing further business. Just trying to get my money back or correct item.
When it comes to finding my kids busy at least a few productive things during the summer, this site has been our answer for a couple years. Also good for projects at school. I learned about it from a teacher at the school. Upside: tons of choices and fast. Plus discounts seem solid. Downside: Kind of an old-school (no pun intended) look and you have to click through a few pages sometimes to find what you are looking for.
I recently ordered some bulletin board materials for my classroom. When it did not get here right away I was worried because of the reviews posted by others. I will say it was not a "quick ship" but I did receive my entire order and the company did respond to me when I inquired about the status. I am not a friend/relative I am preschool teacher on a very limited budget also. I believe that maybe the company is being run by someone different then the people who had bad experiences. I would order from them again, I would just be prepared to wait a little while for my order as I loved my stuff when it got here.
Just like those others, I ordered a couple of things that I was excited to find, and 2 months later not only have I not received anything, but they have not responded to many emails and phone calls trying to work through this. I understand delays, inventory issues, etc, but the black hole of communication is not acceptable. Yes, I will get my money back due to Paypal/CC I use, but that isn't the point.
DO NOT PURCHASE from this website. They will take your money and not send you items ordered. They target teachers with their scam. Unable to contact site by phone, e-mail or fax. DISHONEST. Shame on them for taking advantage of teachers.
I recently ordered something through this site. I did receive the order but I ended up having to return it because it wasn't what the teacher I placed the order for needed. I then placed a new order for the correct supply. I followed the instructions on their website for a return. I then received an e-mail asking me if I indeed wanted the 2nd product I ordered. I explained the return and reorder situation and thanked them for checking with me before they mailed the new supply. I then received a pointed e-mail reprimanding me for not making them aware of the return. I responded that I followed their protocol and since it didn't state they needed to be contacted I didn't realize I needed to make them aware. I was told that my tone was not appreciated and my order was therefore cancelled. In my opinion, their customer service is severely lacking and I will never be ordering any more supplies for my school from them in the future.
I have ordered numerous books and school supplies from this website during the past 2-3 years and I have never had a problem. They usually ship in a matter of days, wrapped well and complete.
I had the same experience as the first reviewer - I spent my tiny allotment of money for classroom materials on this site and I NEVER GOT MY MATERIALS! There is no phone number, they never returned my numerous emails, and when I asked my credit card company to trace the phone number associated with the purchase, it traced back to a conference call center that had never heard of the company and said the company had probably rented an empty conference room to set up a ghost phone number. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. Perhaps the reviewer who is satisfied with Teachchildren.com is somehow related to the site itself? All I know is, if you want to actually receive the materials you order, DON'T ORDER FROM TEACHCHILDREN.COM.

I made my first order during the COVID epidemic and thought that the lack of communication (for approximately three weeks) or receipt of my item was due to extenuating circumstances. These were circumstances beyond everyone's control so I was willing to be patient and understanding.
After making contact with a customer service representative, I was refunded my money and told to reorder again afer 6/1. That was a reasonable request considering the circumstances, so I did. However, this time, because I had the direct email of a representative, I followed up on my order and was told by a customer service representative that it was shipping directly from the publisher. Again, no problem because I was still within the 3-7 day business day shipping window. When my item failed to arrive, I called and the phone went straight to voicemail. I emailed and got no response.
Both times, the links that provided the tracking numbers for the order did not work.
I finally settled on contacting the BBB because although I am understanding, this situation is simply unprofessional. People can be understanding when there is communication, but the lack of communication leads to a negative customer experience.
Was charged $40 and never received my order. I have gotten no response to my emails and the phone number does not work. DO NOT ORDER HERE! Wish I saw these reviews before I ordered.
