Very unprofessional service. Very unreliable. The firs tasker cancelled a couple of hours before appointment, the next day, the second one cancelled 40 minutes before apointment.
I asked for a job to be done after 11am. This guy Ali B accepted the job on that basis and then told me that he could ONLY start at 9am. When I told him that he's accepted a job for a later time, he impolitely told me to cancel the booking, no further discussion.
I was desperate to find an in apartment mover, to have new rugs installed. I was searching and time was short. I'm in bad health, but I engaged Jake and he bought a helper. I am most certainly 200% satisfied. Totally happy and over the moon. Jake understood my situation and instructions and absolutely was time sensitive, with the assigned tasks. I was beginning to believe I wouldn't find someone, who would help me. No hesitation to use task rabbit again.
After an hour of trying to register as a "Tasker" i fnally got to the final stage and then was greeted with "We're sorry, we are not accepting any taskers in your area." Total waste of time and aggravation. And the people you chat with don't care. "Is there anything else i can help you with today?" NO, I DON'T THINK SO SINCE YOU COULDN'T HELP ME TO BEGIN WITH!:
Be careful this company con you quoted me £55 told they will take the money after the job done then took £97 underhand con artists. Do not use.
Hired a few taskers over the years but LATELY I am noticing that taskers are cherry picking jobs. They respond to the job, ask questions, want pics, then suddenly say "well darn my schedule just got booked up" especially if its a smaller job on a weekend. TASK RABBIT charges your card anyway and there is no way to report this behavior.
Hired someone to move a sofa today. Quoted $180 for an easy job and 45 minute drive but it was last minute so I was ok with that. Just received my taskrabbit invoice. There's an extra $70 tacked on for taskrabbit's fee. Nowhere is it clearly disclosed that you pay an additional fee of 35% to taskrabbit. I will caution people about using the service going forward. Not at all happy with that fee.
From trying to request the service to the end is catastrophic. This company has a third party assembly service with Ikea. After finding it difficult to book appointments due to credit card verification issue and eventually successfully, the so call Tasker changed my appointment and when eventually came he's not capable to doing the job. The assembly of the product requires 2 persons but thinks he can do and and end up using my toddlers 7&9 children to hold stuffs for him and helping in screwing. It's a bunk bed and end up abandoning the service half. I contacted the customer service, initially they responded and later charged me for service not done. I contacted them to refund my money but never responded again. I called their customer support number and waiting on phone and no one picked up the phone. I then emailed the customer support, no one replied again. The worst company I ever deal with. Please stay from this guys.
I've had 3 diifferent taskers no-show yard work projects and all TaskRabbit does is make you re-post, and insult you with a $10 credit.
The site and taskers are totally unreliable. Don't waste your time
We purchased Ikea merchandise and had 2 different taskers, both cancel on the same days of service. Not a reliable service.
This company has a "Happiness Pledge" to provide reimbursement for claims when their Taskers cause damage. However, they make it impossible to meet the criteria and then become unresponsive. A Tasker came to my house to fix a leak on the back of the tub. The seal just needed to be reinforced. I mentioned the shower pressure decreased a couple of months ago, so he agrred to look into that. In the course of trying to fix my water pressure, he damaged the bathtub faucet, dislodged the bath drain plumbing in the crawl space by over-torquing the pipe, caused flooding in my crawl space and basement, and then when he attempted to fix the pipe, he dislodged a HVAC duct. From all this damage, I submitted a claim for reimbursing the $345 to fix the HVAC duct, with the receipt and before and after photos. They denied my claim because the "receipt was not itemized". The company would not provide a different receipt. So not only did I pay the unqualified Tasker for the damage he caused, I also did not receive reimbursement, as Task Rabbit Support pledged they would. They continually sent the Happiness Pledge mission statement, but didn't intend to pay me a cent.
Guy came to install my 2 acs with basic brackets. Made up some excuses about the bracket being old even though I told him everyone in the building uses them and they were purchased last year...he had nerve to bill me 2 hours for that.I called task rabbit immediately and I sent him a message as well telling him I was going to be credited for an hour because he chose to lie about what he completed in my apt.I used them years ago but never had such a bad experience...they like to complain about things being "old" to take longer and try to bill you more and then they put in their profile " experienced tasker"...experienced scammers is more like it...plus task rabbit charges an additional fee of $24.it's not worth it.don't use them!
Would not pay me the cancel fees for multiple jobs even though they met the requirements to do so. Terrible customer service and rude staff.
David was so helpful and friendly. He has a good sense of humour and worked at his job with joy. He made sure I was making the most important decisions with him such as where exactly to position the desk before he drilled. Very good, I will book him again for other jobs.
Horrible service, actually no service at all. I booked them. It wasn't`t easy. The person( tasked) never came to do his work, never called and I had no way to call him. After many many unanswered calls to Taskrabbit, I had NO help at all. I was told the tanker cancelled but nobody advises me "the client ", and I was told from customer Service that all I could do is try again to make another app... and good luck to me I guess! Really bad service and also customer service.
I had $130 worth of work done based on the hourly rate. Plus $50 for additional BS surcharges. Absolutely ridiculous.
Apparently it's okay if you book a tasker at their advertised rate, explain the task, they accept, and then shortly before the task they ask for more money and when you say you will tip and that you booked them at their listed rate, that's not good enough so they will cancel on you at the last minute. Customer Support apparently "supports" this practice and does not support the client. First and last time and telling everyone I know never to risk it. Wow, it was so easy to book and then everything fell apart, impacting me and the three people I had set up at either end of this task. Shame on me for not researching reviews first.
Task Rabbit is fine for safe stuff like deliveries, but I got one of their tradespeople to come and do some work in my rented apartment. The guy broke my mirror and did $800 worth of damage, and Task Rabbit made me jump through hoops to get paid. Instead of just paying for the damage from the quote provided by the professional contractor who looks after my building, they kept quoting the Happiness Pledge and reasons why they "couldn't" pay. In the end they EVENTUALLY and "as a special consideration" paid half. Not good enough. I will never use them again.
TaskRabbit (mover William P) feel like this is a movers scam. They're slow unprepared, truck was too small, put my mattress on top and it was raining even though they were wrapped in plastic still had water damage, milked the clock (left to get lunch) edited their text to unsend the text that said they stopped for tacos, scratched up my property then charge extra service and insurance fees. Hire a real mover and pay for professional service
Supposedly 5* Brian C of Philadelphia cancelled at the last minute, after we had already re-confirmed a late afternoon appt. We needed a special shower attachment installed for my girlfriend when she left the hospital so I booked the highest rated person I could find. Brian C accepted, asked my to reconfirm the day before which I did.
Today when I was in a business meeting, he emailed me to say an earlier appt was over and he was available at 1pm. I was not home and not available for phone calls. I contacted him after I left the meeting and he told me he could not come anymore even though our appt was for 430 in the afternoon. I told him I wasn't home so it would not have worked out anyway and there was no need for him to cancel just because some other job was finished earlier, and he canceled my Task and blocked me for absolutely no reason. AVOID BRIAN C AT ALL COSTS! COMPLETE NO SHOW!
Answer: Mine responded and loved to chat. At the end, he cancelled the appointment. What a waste of time. Very disappointing.
