T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

Infuriating
March 12, 2022

I asked T-Mobile if I had the lowest rate; that I had found a cheaper rate from Spectrum. The Chat rep said he would get back to me. Every two minutes I got an assurance that he was working on it. Fifteen minutes later, I told him I would only give him two more minutes. Four minutes later I thanked him for helping me decide to leave T-Mobile. He replied that I had their cheapest plan. I go to the Spectrum store. They say I need to pay off my phone. I go to the T-Mobile store and pay it off. I go to the Spectrum store. They say T-Mobile did not release my phone. I return to T-Mobile: Oh, we can't do that here. Call 611. I call. What's this about? There's a long hold time. Want us to call you back when we're ready? Yes. 30 min later they call. And put me on hold for 18 minutes. I then ask them to release my phone. Why. So I can leave this hellish company. What if we give you a discount on your new phone? No. Release my phone. Well, let me pull up your account. Oh the computer is slow today. Let me put you on hold. Ten minutes later. I need to transfer you to a different department. What can we do to keep your business. You have wasted so much of my time, I will NEVER do business with your company again. Finally they release it. I return to Spectrum. What's your T-Mobile account number? I call 611. It starts again. 20 minutes of pain. Why do you need your account number. My computer is slow. Hold. Only my supervisor can give you your account number. How can we keep your business. GUYS, THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY.

No Service
March 11, 2022

I have a friend that lives in Lake wales Fl has a phone and bought a hot spot for $300 and is constantly without service for days and days. When he went to TMobile they show him a map of the amazing coverage in that area and that is just absolutely not true. So he is paying a phone bill monthly and cannot use the phone. When we talk periodically the sound is lagging can't hear have the conversation. This is a just a horrible carrier and would not recommend this carrier to anyone at all. He is going to change to AT & T

Pay-off my@55
March 11, 2022

My family and I purchased our phones over 6 months ago with T-mobile switching from Verizon. We were given such good hype about the plans and that they would pay off our old phones up to $1000 and gave us a wonderful price monthly for service compared to Verizon. We were so excited. Fast forward 6 months later, we have YET to see a pay-off on our old phones (NOW IN COLLECTIONS MAY I ADD, THANK YOU T-MOBILE) and our plan that was suppose to be $180, which was for one month is now almost $400 a month. Can I say these crooks are scam artists! They sure are! Will be seeking service elsewhere.

My uncle died unexpectedly November 2021. He was paid up and ahead on his bill. The administrator has made 5 plus attempts to close the account and they have been notified. Fast-forward to today and a deceased man gets a bill that states service suspended and for past due with a ridiculous sum owed. Moral of the story DO NOT DIE IF YOU ARE THE OWNER OF T-MOBILE!
I do not suggest anyone use this service they are the worst.

March 2, my husband came to me with a T-mobile representative on the phone. He said T-mobile has an offer to get us 3 new phones, 2 laptops for less than what I am paying now. The only reason I thought about it was my college child was having service issues at her school in Maryland with our current provider. I didn't do my homework to see the pros and cons of T-mobile, and I went through the process of switching. After 70 minutes on the phone, lots of distraction from the representative I esign one of the 4 emails sent concurrently. We was promised our equipment within 2 business days, we can cancel contract if something goes wrong, all these promises and all were lies.
I started reading the emails and saw the problem that the phone ordered was not the phone I wanted or believed we were getting. The representative Ty called me back because I was going to give him another sale. But I had to inform him that the phones on the order was not the ones I wanted. He began stating, you signed the contract, i asked you twice about order, he then stated except phones, if you don't like, turn back in. Now, at this time, I feel duped. Upset with my husband because he didn't do his homework on this company and now they have my $182.17 and a week later, I have nothing. Many attempts to cancel order, but they won't let me, even though the phones are still in their warehouse. I called corporate *******000 and to no avail, the run around, their corporate office no longer have a customer care department as of October 1st. I emailed the supposed CEO mark sievert, I will see what will happen. Consumer's before you get into business with a company, do your homework and read others reviews on that company. After this fiasco, I read the reviews and T-mobile has numerous 2 stars. The only reason I am giving them any stars is because of what they give new customers all the equipment at a reasonable cost and I can't give them no stars.

The worst company
March 3, 2022

T-Mobile is the worst, the customer service is bad…there are not helpful and they are very defensive. I bought a phone almost two weeks and it's not working. And my other phone wasn't working properly for a month. They don't value their customers.

I was proactive trying to make sure that I had enough mobile hot spot for work. I made the changes clearly in advance and have the chats to prove it. They said rest assured that you will not be charged anything extra. Next thing I know they suspend my account without warning while I was working. Said that I owed 514 dollars and that they could do nothing to help me out. There is more but thats the basic situation. THIS COMPANY IS CORRUPT AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

The T-Mobile sales reps when you call in to order devices lie and mislead you to get a sale. They directly lie about the accessories, capabilities, and facts about their devices, upgrades, deals, and service packages just to get you into a sale or contract. When you call back in to verify or ask questions, the new rep is all apologetic, confused, and doesn't know why the previous rep would do such a thing. I have had this happen to me on numerous occasions and in the same manner. I called in and asked what current promotions you have and what am I qualified for under my plan? I repeatedly asked the rep several questions about the transaction and he deliberately lied about the product, the upgrade, and the transaction involved with my trade-in. After pointing this all out, since I know the call was recorded, the supervisor I was speaking with said there's nothing that could be done and they refused to honor what I was told even though he had the power to do so. I was purchasing a phone that was $1900 (Galaxy Z Fold 3) and a $350 (Samsung Watch 4) watch. I was trading in a phone that was supposed to get an $800 (Samsung Galaxy Note 9) credit towards the phone. I have been a customer with T-Mobile for 15+ years and the customer service has gone completely down. I have been on the phone with them for countless hours because of overbilling and hidden charges on my account. I was just given a $430+ dollar credit on my account for this very reason. I simply asked the supervisor to make this right and he had no resolve for me so I am returning all the equipment and demanding my money back.

DON'T BUY HERE!
February 25, 2022

Don't buy here! They say it's month to month with a free phone. However they start charging more after few months and if you have to cancel for any reason they charge you full price for the phone. So the phone isn't free and they charge more then first agreed.

Terrible customer service
February 21, 2022

I ordered a IPad 9 on Dec 28, they billed be $128.54 on Dec 30. I paid for second day Air, so delivery should have been Feb 1. I checked the tracking number and UPS had not received the package. I call TM's expert and he told me it was on back order and shipping could be delayed until mid March. So I ask to cancel. And for the next 19 days I called about 16 times spend at least 15 hours asking for help. On the 19th UPS still showed they had not received the Experts and Supervisors tried to tell me it had ship next day air on the 8th. One excuse after another. On the 20th I received a email from T-Mobile Care in forming me they had received my IPad and will refund my money at the next billing cycle. I'm switching back to Verizon wish I'd never left. Much better coverage for the same cost. I gave 1 star it will not allow 0. Save your self some pain and suffering avoid T-Moble.

Bad service
February 18, 2022

Went there with a friend 5:20pm and they kept helping everyone that came after me and making it seem like we were invisible. We were there for two hours patiently waiting. We finally got up to go before they finally helped us. If that's not discrimination i don't know what that is

They provide wrong info
February 18, 2022

I payed Assurant insurance for almost 3 years for my phone. My screen cracked and I needed that part to be repaired for $30. My claim was approved and I scheduled appt in the store. They told me they can't repair my screen because, listen now, my battery was performing bad makes no sense! After 3 years of using phone of course that my battery wont be new! Nowhere in Terms and Conditions states I need phone in perfect condition in order to repair the screen only. I called online tmobile customer service and calling Assurant and they admitted they were wrong about it but couldn't do anything. I was ready to switch the provider. 10 days after someone from Tmobile called me and said they are going to pay $70 if I say their customer. NEVER GET ASSURANT INSURANCE! THEY ARE RUDE AND WON'T HELP YOU EVEN IF YOU KEEP PAYING FOR IT FOR YEARS! STAY AWAY!
