I was going to join this website today but decided to google this site first and read reviews! Im so glad that i didnt sign up for it! I did see the 159 dollars sign up fee because i read everything before giving my cc# to any site. The thing that got me thinking more is that when you see the video that is on the sign up page about the police station auctioning off those items they say that those stuff are not brand new they are evidence and are used. On the swipebid site they say their items are brand new and manufactures warrenty. That clicked in my head and didnt match the video and the sites video. But im sad for all the people that got scammed but im also glad i didnt fall for it beause 150 dollars for me is a lot of money. Hopefully this website and whoever created gets what they deserve and let people know about this site your relatives friends coworkers everyone and by posting their reviews about these kind of company is helping other people not fall for it like me so i thank everyone for their review and im sorry for everyone that got scammed!

OMG! I am going through that EXACT same thing right now! It is absolutely ridiculous the way this company does business. They need to EXPLICITLY say that they will deduct this money from people's account. The wording on the website is really ambiguous. Given that, one would think they would be more understanding to customers and attempt to achieve some level of customer satisfaction. They refused to provide any information about the company and it is EXTREMELY hard to actually get a hold of a live person over the phone. When you do, they lack any sympathy. I spoke with a representative (Senetta) and then a "supervisor" (Tracy)-and that was after I had an online chat session with Peter for over and hour before he finally gave me their 800#-none of them were helpful. When I told Tracy that I wanted to speak to her supervisor, she refused & told me that no one was going to help me & that she was ending our call.
I am planning to file a complaint with the BBB as well as inform my local news stations about this situation so that it doesn't happen to more people. Swipebids has a horrible business ethic and won't be around much longer if they don't make some MAJOR improvements. It took me actually going to the BBB website to even find out they are based out of Canada (& not subject to the same U.S. laws). I am currently trying to dispute it out with my bank because NO ONE at this company has been the least bit helpful, and many have been downright rude. This happened to me just before July 1st which not only ruined my holiday weekend, but also put me in a bind because of bills and rent. I am college student and don't have extra money to throw away like that. I thought I was providing them my card info IN CASE I decided to bid on or purchase something. Not to simply register!

I just wish I had saw this before I gave them any of my info!

The following URL, http://www.swipebids.com/landing2206B.php?catid=11&awt_l=C0E0w&awt_m=L0ME5kMPl038rx, found on facebook, only shows electronics so i thought they were dealing with just electronics.

That site led me to the URL, http://www.swipebids.com/registration_pg1.php, which further led me to believe it is electronics, so I signed up.

This URL, http://www.swipebids.com/index.php shows things you can bid on after signing up. It does have some electronics, but I signed up thinking it I would be bidding on more electronics, particularly laptops & accessories. Once logged in you find very few electronics. I found 1 item of interest. I did try thier site and found out my $150.00 worth of bidding would not get me even close to winning the item. They require you buy more bids at 50 cents per bid. It would have cost several hundred more dollars to win it.

An example is Auction ID: *******,(actual auction, as I am logged into thier site for informational purposes only). The time is 04:26pm central (could be a little off because I am slow to type). At this very moment the item is at $313.96. Bids go up by 1 cent, so there have been 31,396 bids. 1 bid cost 50 cents. According to my calculations, thats $15,698.00 (please correct me if I am wrong). They require you to buy bids in bulk. Clearly a scam.

YES, I WAS SCAMMED JUST YESTERDAY…
I was looking "shopping, not buying" around the web for a nice SLR camera like the Canon EOS Rebel… Then I encounter SwipeBids.com advertising, and sure enough I went to look around. I was so rushed into joining that I never notice the slick registration process would pull $150.00 bucks out of my bank account sending me into an overdraft situation and a charge of $22.00 from my bank. Remember this? "Due to high demand, we are only accepting a limited number of new customers today. To ensure your spot, please sign-up in the next 3 minutes." So now I am in with 300 bids at 0.50 cents each Ok? At this point I'm unaware of anything going wrong, wow! Look at all the action, lots of BID-Pack amounts to bid on, and Wal-Mart gift cards, but I'm looking for a Canon Camera… There is one, it say $229.38 and blinking 12 seconds to go, hit the BID Button now! Ok here I go Click! Umm… my name with a happy face, how cute, I'm winning… no I'm not. This went on for a while at 5 Bids per click, after a while the camera has gone up to $242.58 that's a ton of pennies 24,258 X 5 Bids per penny-click equals 121,290 Bids X. 50 cents per Bid that's a whooping $60,645.00 or so for Swipebids.com. I started to see a pattern of people with diamonds and gold crowns instead of happy faces bidding against me, they were probably bots. Hey! Interested in a HP Laptop? Just across was one going for $378.96 at 10 Bids per penny-click and many happy faces trying to get it. Well, not to be funny because this is not funny… This is definitely a very serious matter that should be dealt with all of the extent of the Law… I am 67 years old and on a retirement S. S. budget. Am I hurt, oh yeah! Would I try to get a refund? They already sent me to their friendly 30 day money back guarantee web page in which I must participate in their auctions for the next 30 days. Download the Refund Request Form. Must use all credited bids available in my account including daily bids (60 free bids credited daily upon login). If I do not win an auction within 30 days of original sign up with Swipebids.com, contact them via live chat at the end of the 30 days for a refund. Oh! Such an aspiration coming from a dedicated bunch of scam artists.
I'm sick over this, my very first experience with scam artists, and my health is worth much more than the money I lost. I just hope that someone somewhere finds where they are at, gets a gigantic class action lawsuit "after they pay everyone" that shuts them down for good. "Of course in a jail cell."

This site is so tricky... it will definitely trick you and get your money... when i joined this, I was thinking that they will not get any money from my account but believe me, they took 150 dollars instantly... when i asked for a refund they asked me to consume everything and make it zero, however, they took another 150 (a total of 300 dollars in just seconds) from my account. The customer service is terrible... they have 3 difficult steps. This is the tricky part... they want you to be an active bidder first, second they wanted you to consume every bids in your account, however if you will win anything no matter how small is the item, then you will be disqualified to get your money back. They will keep on giving you free bids even if you don't accept it, this is really hard because you cannot be refunded if you cannot consume everything and on the other side you will also be disqualified if you will win anything even how small it is... it is really hard to consume the bids especially if you got 3 remaining bids because the only thing you could bid for are 20-dollar wallmart cards or another bidding trials (ironic because... there's a 99 percent chance of winning more bids that will only add for your another bidding trials that will again defeats the purpose of consuming the bids for your refund)... what happened with me was... i got 3 more bidding trials remaining. And have to make it 0... i was really worried because i might win since there's no other stuffs to bid for the 3 bids but just 20-dollar wallmart card or another bids which i really hate to do because i might disqualify to get my 300 dollars back... i called, chatted online, and talked to different customer representatives, but they told me that there's nothing i could do but to bid for the 20-dollar wallmart card or bid to win another 40 bids... it was really a mess!... the wallmart card was already closed at that time so my option is to bid for the 40 bids to consume the 3 bids in my account... and yes... everything that i worry about happened... they let me win for the 40 bids that made me disqualify to get my 300 dollars... they just said sorry because i am already disqualified!... it really ruined my whole day... my 300 dollars is gone for nothing... :( :( :( ... i am writing this this review because i don't like this to happen to anybody out there... yes, there are good testimonies too but believe me only for a few percentage... this is just like gambling your money... it's just similar to casino gambling... people are looking forward to win with less chance to... you are just putting a lot of money for them... customer service is 120 % TERRIBLE!... SWIPE BIDS is a nightmare to me... if you are not a gambler then pls never join this site... more than 100% not recommended...
