Swanson used to be my go to for certain supplements. There's only really 1 or 2 products that I need for them, so in order to save myself shipping on 30-60 days supplies, I'd stock up on 3-4 bottles at a time and pay that shipping all at once. Today I've gone on to buy my supply and there's a Limit of 1. For everything. I can't even buy 2 of the same lip balm. I like their products and have always liked their service in the past. But I refuse to pay $5.99 shipping every time I need a new bottle of a supplement. With that price added on it's cheaper to go somewhere else.

Swanson used to be my go to for certain supplements. That I'd have to pay 5.99 shipping for one tube of lip balm because I'm not allowed to buy more than that.

The Japanese dialect is hard to understand with some of these CSR's. They auto ordered B Vitamins to me and charged my Card $40. I NEVER agreed to auto ship, I don't do auto ship on anything. Maybe something was checked that should not have been but I did NOT do it nor see it! I asked the man to take my Credit Card out of their System and he said he couldn't do that and they don't have my number, B.S!
I'm not going to order from Swanson anymore I've been a Customer for 20 some years.

Tip for consumers:
No Company has the right to keep your Credit Card on File, for someone that's been a Customer for 20 some years you should show respect to their requests.

Vit B Complex, lots over the years. I use to buy P.M.S. Stop and it worked great but that was 15-20 years ago.

Concern. I recently purchased a jug of magnesium oil. The packaging was horrible. With a bottle being that heavy in weight, there was no insulation in the box. It was put in a Liploc bag in a box with a piece of tape across the top of the cap. When it was delivery. It's was dropped on my porch leaking everywhere.

I've been a dedicated on-line Swanson customer for 20 years and have received quality products and good customer service consistently, but that has changed with my last order. I've been using Swanson eye cream for years. The price is similar on Amazon or the Swanson site: Approximately $15 a 1oz jar or $25 for a 2 pack. When Swanson offers a BOGO on either size, I purchase it! Such was the case last week when the 2 pack was advertised "BOGO 2 pack". When I received my order instead of the usual 2 pack, I received 2 separate 1 oz jars. I called Swanson sales support and spoke to a customer rep and then a supervisor. They said Swanson was no longer offering single bottles but only 2 packs and that the 2 pack was $25. They said the BOGO was one 1 oz bottle plus a free 1 oz bottle. If the price of a 2 pack is $25 and I paid $25 for two one ounce bottles, what is the BOGO? If 1 oz bottles are no longer available, why did my receipt list one 1 oz bottle sold and one 1 oz bottle free? The two men didn't provide a credible response... they just repeated 1 oz bottles were no longer available and the BOGO was two 1 oz bottles until the I finally just gave up. BTW the product is available on Amazon for $15 and $25
For 1 oz and 2 pack respectively.

Tip for consumers:
The products are good values but customer service is poor. Both sales rep and supervisor did not address problem and just repeated information that didn't compute.

Two stars was probably generous. Can't handle credit cards, slow delivery (no 5-6 days for sure), primitive website. Products are good once the package finally arrives. Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.

Your bank account, or credit card, will be double charged. It is the doings of Swanson, not your bank since you probably know already not to go negative without problems. Your account might charge daily overdraft fees if you don't figure on that policy. There are other sources that don't do that. The second charge drops off, but possibly too late. Prices are average. If a credit card is overdrafted past the monthly statement date they might have to turn it in to your credit report.

Tip for consumers:
All you can do is be patient getting the double charge dropped off. It matters ever since Covid cost me income, or keep orders affordable. Shop the internet. You can find whatever you want online, and increasingly locally. It's a huge market that many grocery and food stores are getting into.

Quality control has declined since Lee Swanson sold the outfit to an investment group. You can no longer trust that what is inside the bottle is what it says on the label.

They claim they do i dependent testing but when I alerted them in writing and by telephone that their Coriolus mushroom extract (aka turkey tail) wasn't even a tiny fraction of the potency claimed they promised to investigate but did absolutely squat. A simple supplement -- mag citrate powder -- wasn't fully activated with the citric acid it contained. I called again, they suggested trying something other than their house brand.

I still buy some of Swanson products. I need Naringin which is a bit hard to find so I will purchase it at some point but I no longer trust them when it comes to supplements I rely on to offset serious health issues. I would avoid them altogether but there are few great alternatives. Amazon is a. Crap shoot. I have bought supplements there from brands I consider reliable and received half filled capsules on one occasion and expired product that should have been discarded. There is no longer any consumer protection body policing the integrity of the global supply chain. So shopping for anything is a misery but shopping for supplements is the worst

PS: Do not trust Swanson discount codes and pricing -- when there is a deep discount, their site is programmed to adjust prices higher for correspondingly less savings.

Also when you check out you will be told you won all kinds of "free" offers from shady merchants that partner with Swansons.

I used to automatically drop $100 to $200 every time I logged in because you could trust you were paying fair prices for moderate quality. Not anymore -- now I am on guard, constantly eyeing the subtotal each time I cart an item. It's kind of like being at a flea market in the shady part of town. Be hypervigilant and hang on to your wallet

Hi Amy - In reviewing your comment, there seems to be a misunderstanding of the product you are referring to. Coriolus mushroom extract is not pure turkey tail mushroom material and should not be compared to it. It will not taste or smell like turkey tail mushroom as it is an extract, with most of the bulk of the mushroom removed. I'd be happy to provide additional test specifications to you if you'd like. I used Swanson for years. It was a prime service company with good product selection and prompt shipments. My supplies were delivered within days after ordering. It changed within last two years for worse, much worse. Not all supplies I was ordering before are on its site and it takes sometimes weeks to receive my order. Recently my order (from Jan 01,22) was sent to the address, which was invalid for more than a year and half. Interestingly I have received already a few shipments from Swanson to my current address, so there was no reason to revive the old address. In fact I caught the address mistake on my order the next day after placing the order and sent a corrective email (Jan 02,22) to the Swanson customer service address providing the proper destination. They still shipped my order to a wrong place. My current address was on the Swanson site, but regardless of that and my email they did. The Swanson delivery tracking states it was delivered on Jan 08,22, but not to me, though. I don't know how it will be resolved, but I am totally disappointed and disgusted. I will look for a better service from a reliable company.

I ordered cat's claw, and got White Willow Bark instead. I got in touch with customer service. They just refunded the difference in price instead of correcting their mistake. I am a drop in the sea for them, but they have no shame or ethics...

1. "40% off most products". Didn't work, even when product was not in the exceptions list...
2. Shop Runner doesn't work.
3. When ordering liquids, the liquids are not packed in a padded bag, so if they break. You're on your own.
4. When notifying customer service and pleading for a replacement that this time should be packed properly, they send the replacement. Packed just the way they did before. Luckily this time the liquids weren't all over the place...

I have ordered from them for over ten years. After two weeks of waiting for my order I called and they told me the item was on back order, ask to speak with maneger she gave me other reason. I would have thought someone would have sent a email with in the two weeks I am going to try lucky vitamins or i_herb to see how they conduct business.

Swanson Vitamins claim on their order page that the customer will receive their order within 2-5 days, which as it turns out is nothing but a load of false and misleading tuchus!
The last order I unfortunately placed with these knowningly online scammers arrived 11 days after the order was placed!
Is it any big surprise that Swanson's BBB rating is tanking?

A truthful and accurate shipping time would have determined my purchase.

I placed an order with this company on 7/15. As of 7/21, I have not received any verification of my purchase. I have no idea when I will receive my order, if ever. I contacted customer support 2 times with no response. Also, their discount code offers are shady. How do they offer a discount when their products are listed as "reduced"? Regardless, I won't be using this site for my future purchases. I have 3 other very reputable sites I can use instead. I wouldn't recommend anyone else use this site; there are too many other online options available to have to succumb to the poor customer service of this sketchy site.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid this site. The poor customer support does'nt justify purchases.

Been buying from Swanson for many years. Usually good, but I ordered over $100 of product on January 12th and still have not received it. Live chat agent said that she could not check on it because the post offices are closed today (MLK day), but it's being shipped via FedEx, which is open. I've run out of my supplements and will need to continue to wait. Very unfortunate.

While Swanson is some of the highest quality products on the market, for the past couple of years they have been sending out items that are about to expire. Supplements I'm supposed to be taking over the next six months to a year expire in a month or in a few weeks. Very poor business practice.

My review must have gotten through because I ordered something, (that I can only get from Swanson), last week and it arrived fresh with expiration dates two years good. Maybe Swanson was getting rid of a lot of warehouse stuff before stocking new items, and I got the short straw. I'm back to ordering from Swanson.

I made a purchase of 5 items the most expensive@$49.99 retail. The items were purchased via a phone order pursuant to an e-mail coupon for 25% of my entire order.
When I received the order and enclosed invoice the above item was billed at full price of $49.99 instead of $37.50 I confirmed the price of $37.50 with the sales agent at time of purchase.

I've called three times each time I am in cue for more than 30 minutes until I just hang up. This long hold time is no accident. The order line is fast and quick to take your money, but Customer Service is slow to non-existent to address a problem.

Tip for consumers:
Don't buy from Swanson Health Products. Chose a reputable seller that takes pride and values their customers, and actually has a CustomerService Department to handle issues if they arise.

Ive tried all 5 products. It is too soon to know the efficacy of any product. Can anyone tell the viability of vitamins?
Sp the products may or may not be good. What I am certain of is the slippery scheme to overcharge. They think most people won't check their credit card statement.

Inexpensive supplements, good quality, but poor customer service, especially on returns. Discounts offered sometimes are not applied to some products and the website makes it difficult to verify whether the discount was actually applied or not. They also will not publish any bad reviews for their Swanson brand products on their website.

This is the first time I encounter its new deceiving chat service; I have been Swanson Vitamins custimer for more than 10 years. Today I want to reorder some supplements, while comparing the prices for the same substance, but made by different brands, I saw that chat bubble popping up constantly. Thinking that it was available, I clicked on it, to my surprise, after some wait time, I was prompted to select various numbers to indicate my need. After selecting several numbers to answer its questions, the chat closed on me as if Swanson selectively choose to service some categories only, and mine was not one on the preferred list!
So was the chat a way to:
Reduce the influx of customers trying to contact Customer Service by making customers go through the loops
Sampling the volume of the chat service at certain times of the day to get statistics for its marketing or scheduling department or what was going on?
I had to go through all those loops to get nobody in the end?! There was no warning of any kind that the service was unavailable, no indication that I was in a queue! If it was unavailable, why did the website not display a message of the chat service hours, and ask customers to come back later, or the like?! It's the least courtesy it can give to a customer.
After viewing the numerous complaints on Swanson Vitamins, and its own responses to the complaints within a year to date on Better Business Bureau, and seeing the overall rating here (Sitejabber) on the organization, I decide to not take a risk of getting an issue from doing business with it! It's sad to notice that it has gone downhill overall, especially in customer service which is a very important aspect of doing business, and staying afloat! If I could, I would support a local business like it, but it is not worth going through possible headaches!

Hace un mes hice un pedido, y nunca llegó.
Llamé y me dijeron que El produto ya se había entregado en mi Mail box.
A month ago I order a product from Swanson and never came, I called to the company and they said that the package was already delivered.
I'm not recommend this company. They still your money. I hope they won't continue draw money from my account.

I have to give them a low rating because of customer service. I have been ordering vitamins for years and I in error placed an order with a wrong item and immediately contacted them to fix the order and they couldn't do it. Why? It was within minutes. They said I had to keep it or send it back which cost me shipping charges. I have been ordering online for years and most companies have a grace period time for you to make changes. That's unacceptable.

After buying products from Swanson Vitamins for at least five years, I recently ( in the last two years) have been put off and have decided to shop elsewhere. Why? On one occasion, ordered some root concealer (not because I'm grey, but because I enjoy trying different hair colors, as do many people, male and female). When the order arrived (on at least two or three occasions including this one) the representative who packed the order included some off-putting coupons i. E. for hearing aides (I'm not deaf or hard of hearing), retirement insurance (not retired or even close), mopeds for the disabled etc... I live on the East Coast and SV is on the West Coast and the package took more than a week to arrive, whereas I ordered a package from the UK and it arrived in three days! What is going on with the shipping? Considering I paid more than $5 for the shipping it should have arrived at least within 4 or 5 days.

The bottle has no expiration date. Manufaacture date shows almost 3 years old.
Tried to call and ask to product manager by phone but wait more than 7 minutes and no way to leave my message.
