This is literal garbage. Some of the problems are wrong themselves. If bees would rate this the duck army would run away.

I've always hated study island with a BURNING passion. I've finally decided to write my review.
I'm going to cut down on personal experience and tell you what you want to know. Why do people hate it?

For me, science and history are fairly simple and easy, with the lessons. There are some broken questions here and there with false facts, but it goes away after a while.
HOWEVER,
Math and ELA are very hard for me, the lessons are impossible to track down what you want to use. ELA is somewhat okay, but math?
I cannot say ANYTHING good about Math. The teachers have to use calculators! Professionals resorted to using an external object. That's right, it IS that hard.
It's usually confusing and nearly impossible.

The game modes are poorly scripted and barely work, if they DO work, that is.
You're honestly better of using IXL.

TL; DR; Math bad, game bad, use IXL.

Edit: I forgot to mention, this site induces heavy stress upon the user most of the time, who wants that?

This website makes me want to kill myself. I will answer with the best possible choice, and then it will say that it is wrong, only to an answer that is 100% incorrect. The Study Island tasks only bring my grade down, and do not help me learn anything. They stress me out, and I end up spending way too much time on them, only to get a bad grade. There is no reason why we should be forced to do these, and they are doing absolutely nothing to benefit me.

Study island is a hard learning app for some children. I tend to get stressed by just using Study island. I am a student that uses this app most of the day, due to some teachers. I honestly dislike how complex some lessons are. Some children may not be used to reading one threw maybe 8 pages, and it could hurt a child's eyes for reading so much in one day. So if you would like to teach a student something. Try teaching them in more fun ways. Other then staring at a screen for an hour and reading.

This website is the cheapest, most low quality piece of garbage I have ever been forced to use in my entire life. The people who developed this clearly spent way more time on trying to make the hardest, most bs questions imaginable rather than actually trying to teach children information. The games that are supposed to "reward" hard-working students were probably made by people who never took a single programming class in their entire lives. Oh, and it is WAAAAAAAY too overpriced to warrant this kind of crap. You wanna know why they use Khan Academy videos in their lessons? It's because they can't make a single piece of quality educational content by themselves. Just use Khan Academy or some other more well-made learning platform, because this is an overpriced, poorly service, and buggy pile of garbage. Take it from me. I've had to use it for THREE EFFIN' YEARS OF MY LIFE. I could go on for hours, but really all I mean to say is that this is a waste of public school money.

I am a student that uses study island in my school. I can sum it up in three words. Stress Anxiety Depression.Its so confusing and just stresses me out.My teachers like to assign study islands as homework which I think is bull. They like to grade it out of 100% so when you get a blue ribbon(70%)it drops your grade rapidly which in my opinion isn't right.If you are considering using study island DON'T.Its complete crap and does not help you learn.
