Whenever I got a problem wrong my grade would go down, but then I would get less credit for getting another problem correct. This would eventually get so low I would be getting 1% per correct answer. This is not fair and it makes it impossible to progress on assignments. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!
It had a question and I did all the answers THEY WERE RIGHT I LOOKED IT UP and no its wrong hahahahaha I think I know who the wrong one island its NOT me sorry teacher but most of the stuff we learn we ( besides basic math and reading a writing) use we will never use even extra math is better then this so yeah.
If it wasn't for my stupid lessons I have to do for my school, I would delete my account. Not only does it stress me and my other classmates out, it also says that the right answers are wrong. If your not convinced here's proof. (I got the first question right)
Are you Guessing, that's what it tells you. When you start study island and let's say it out of 5 questions and you get the 1st one wrong and just want to put random answers to try again, it doesnt let you and asks Are you Guessing, You are forced to Wait 10 Seconds before answering now and it is the worst. Would not recommend. DO NOT USE. Gives stress to kids.
It does not matter how old you are or which college you attended. I can guarantee that you will get wrong answers. My daughters are required to do Study Island per my school district request. It's just frustrating and brings their confidence down. I do not recommend in any shape or form. Kind of surprised to see some people like it.

I have to use this website almost every week its so hard that i even need help i rage all the time on study island thats why i have a C in language arts.

I honestly can not describe how BAD study island is, with the way it formats it's answers and inconsistency. The amount of times that I wanted to deliberately break my keyboard, or the screen is ridiculous and unfathomably hard to comprehend.
The thing with study island is, some of its core subjects are not structured, and revised. From the reviews that I've read in here. From over 100's of kids complaining about how study island can constantly nag you with long redundant, monotone, explanations. I gotta say, I don't blame them. Because every time I get a answer wrong, that happens and a crab starts literally insulting me for it, like as if I should've done better when the system hasn't improved even the slightest. I noticed how some of the answers they provide is biased, and not correct. Sometimes there will be BUGS that can inconvenience me a question, and cause me to fail the lesson and retake because of how horrible they programmed it.
To add onto it, I've seen some reviews that said This has lowered my self-esteem', I got clinical depression from this site', and mostly, some of the reviews contain cry', mental', frustration' and etc.
I don't understand how Study Island hasn't fixed some of these issues, because the way they've programmed the site to be, is to be mentally challenging and frustrating among students in K-12.
Please do not use this site, and if you're forced to use this site by one of your teachers, I give you good luck. Because honestly, Study Island sucks.
TO THE PEOPLE WHO MADE STUDY ISLAND. Its torture for me and my friends. Why is this thing so boring. Make it fun a little. I'm so sick and tired of " pick all the correct answers" and when I get one part wrong " you got the whole problem wrong". It is 10:50 pm I started at 9:30 AM AND IM STILL TRYING TO GET A GOOD GRADE. If I was a teacher I would never give mt students this torture. Moral of the story is... BLOCK STUDY ISLAND DONT GIVE IT TO YOU STUDENTS.
Once I stayed up to 9:30 doing this dumb stuff. My mom even came in to where I work at home (I'm homeschooled) and couldn't help me bc she didn't understand the questions either! I ended up crying at 9:00 at night and my mom slammed my computer's lid down in anger bc she hates the site! Don't use this if you are a stressed kid or a perfectionist! Please teachers, DON'T USE THIS TO TORTURE YOUR STUDENTS! It has very bad quality and if I get a "Select all that apply" and get most of them correct, I'll end up with a 0 bc I got one wrong! > :(( ((
The questions are poorly worded and most of the time the questions mark you wrong even though you are right.
WHY! YOU GET IT RIGHT AND ITS WRONG WHEN THERE ARE 2 CORRECT ANSWERS! THIS SITE CAN GIVE U DEPRESSION!
To all the people that work for study island how does it feel to destroy kids mental health i'm in 8th and i already want to drop out and i used to like school before torture island also it's sad that over a 100 kids have taken time out of their day to right a bad review on this terrible website and why has none of the teachers read any of these reviews or how have they not noticed that kids groan in pain everytime they mention study island TEACHERS DO NOT USE PLEASE
STAY AWAY. THIS DOES NOT TEACH CHILDREN HOW TO LEARN! The crab insults you every time you get it wrong. Most of the answers aren't even right. Like, get your math right! If you're going to make a horrible "game", then just post it on the dark web. This literally is trash. If you play "game mode", the games are games you would find at the clearance section at the dollar store. It has done nothing to my GPA, it's making it worse! Do not download it. Why do teachers force students to use this crap of an app? It literally makes your student's GPA go DOWN! DOWN! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
The questions are vague... and always more then one possibility and mostly opinion based. Horrible format.
That crab comes and says ¨ your wrong!" and its annoying! Then in the select the all that apply, you can get it mostly right and click one wrong one, then its marked wrong! Thats not fair cause its mostly right! Im tired of getting and F when the answer is partly right, Give me partial points! Also, i spent so much time on one problem just to get it wrong! I
It's very excellent in breaking the souls of your students. If your students is being a pest then give them a lashing of torture island. 10/10 for torture. But seriously this is an punishment not a treat. Study island sucks.
This horrible waste of life/brain eating virus app deserves a sitation for a billion dollars! I have found out that on some of the questions, they make all of the answers incorrect so that they can get more money by causing people to use it longer trying to pass the stupid tests! So teachers, students, parents DO NOT USE.
