I freaking hate study Island. It never works. The answers are impossible, the questions are confusing, and this is all for money. My lazy $#*! teachers give this out when they dont have any assignments to give out, so Im stuck failing every question given, racing to keep my grade up. It keeps screwing up my grade, because I HAVE to get an 80% or higher, which makes it a million times harder since the questions are too hard. $#*! you edumentum, your website only increases my depression by making me stressed and dumbfounded. I cant continue to suffer from my teachers making me go through this Hell that is a website. I hope this website is deleted off the face of the Earth, so kids like me can go on and live our lives. And if you dont take this $#*!ty website down, I will convince my parents to sue your gay $#*! company. I hope everyone who works at that torture chamber for children loses their job and lives in poverty when I bomb that $#*!ing business. Thank you.

I have been a customer of Study Island for many years. My child used this learning tool through school, and we also purchased it for home. I had an account with 4 programs (4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and a summer program) purchased to keep and 2 programs (GED and OGT) purchased for one year of service. On July 1,2017, Study Island canceled my account with all 6 programs. They did not explain to me why they canceled the 4 programs that I was aloud to keep. They were supposed to transition all my materials to a new product.
The Edmentums Standard Purchase and License Terms stated that if Edmentum changes the format of their product, they have to transition their customers old product to Edmentums new product. I had 4 programs to keep indefinitely, for as long as I wanted, and all they offered, after I contacted them multiple times, was one program for one year. Their new program is lacking flash cards for all subjects and labs for science. I think that their offer was totally unfair. The biggest problem is I can not even speak with their supervisor by phone; she would only e-mail. After my account was closed, I could not remember exactly how many programs I had. The supervisor told me that I had only 1 program. I called the customer service and verified the content of my account. I actually had 4 programs, and the supervisor had been trying to brush me off by telling me that she will give me one program in exchange for one I used to have. I am very disappointed in the supervisors dishonesty.
In conclusion, I would recommend everyone to check their accounts and see what happened to all of their materials. Some one has to take responsibility for this situation. If anyone knows how to contact Edmentums corporate office, please let me know at: *******@gmail.com.

It is $#*!ed and makes little sense when you try to work on it. The questions are worded stupidly so you can't even decipher what the question is even trying to ask. The explanations also are worded this way so unless you can read collage level writing (poor third graders) you cant even figure out why you get questions wrong. This site need to be put out of its misery.

Similar to any other student's experiences, I have gone through so much stress having to do 30 of these horrible problems a week. All of my classmates and everyone else in my school absolutely despises this program. Everybody constantly gets 40% or lower on the website while getting A's or B's on actual homework and quizzes. Something that really bugs me is how my teacher gives us 8 question quizzes based solely of the trash website. I honestly don't understand why this website exists. It's a nightmare.

I can give the benefit of the doubt that this is a legitimate way to learn and schools are attempting to apply new formats which I can appreciate. I just don't appreciate how terrible this program is, it is in theory, helpful, but the criteria and whole grading and point system is just the worst.

People outside the program might think that this is a decent website and will help students. Sure. In a way, for some people, it does help and is a decent website. This new program is not taken well by most students who just struggle every night trying to survive a day in high school. As much I appreciate the implication and encouragement of the improvement in our education system, this just causes stress, anger, and confusion( and for me, a lowered self-esteem) in student life.
