I purchased a custom suit from this website. Had two professional tailors measure me using the website's guidance so I wouldn't screw it up (this was my wedding suit).
The first red flag was when I saw where the suit was shipping from: Mumbai, India. Everything on the site led me to believe this would be Italian made, but only the fabric is.
When the suit arrived the jacket was completely mis-tailored. It looked like I had shoulder pads from the 80s Golden Girls series. I took it to a real Italian tailor and he quoted me $200 to fix it and said it would be cheaper to just buy a new one.
When I contacted the slow and frustrating customer service, they admitted the tailoring error but would not replace the suit jacket. Only offer me a discount on a new jacket or a $75 tailoring assistance fee.
I accepted the tailoring assistance after much back and forth and guess what? It was only a $75 site credit. Not a real dollar amount that I could use for the tailor! Again, I was tricked by this company.
AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY CUSTOM FIT GARMENT.
Good response time and great at solving my issue. Would recommend.
Though shipping does take a long time, we got what we ordered and the product is very high quality.
The Harris Tweed Jacket StudioSuits recently tailored for me happens to be the third Harris Tweed Jacket that I have bought and worn in my lifetime (I am 84 years old). I bought the other two Harris Tweed Jackets during my tenure as a university professor many decades ago, before my retirement. I was a university professor in Montreal from 1970 to 2000.
During my three sabbaticals and my yearly summer vacations, I travelled a great deal, especially to the USA, Central & South America, Europe and East Asia. In particular, I lived and did research in China for a total of five years. In Montreal, and wherever I travelled, no matter how far, warm or cold, I always wore my Harris Tweed Jacket.
Now, you may ask: what happened to my first two Harris Tweed Jackets? And why have I kept two jackets, instead of one?
HT Jacket #1: I bought the first jacket when I became a university professor at Université de Montréal (1970). I still have this jacket. Its Harris Tweed label says in English and in French that it was hand woven in Scotland. To me, that means I must have bought it at a store in Montreal (probably Eaton's or Ogilvy's). Unfortunately, Jacket #1's lining started to tear apart after a few years. I wanted this lining to be replaced, but I could not find a company that would do it at a reasonable price in Montreal. So I decided to buy another HT Jacket.
HT Jacket #2: I bought Jacket #2 around 1980. Since then, I have worn it daily until my retirement in 2000, and for each of my outings until 2022. However, a few months ago, I discovered that the material surrounding the jacket's two side pockets was slowly falling apart. I thus decided to part from Jacket #2, and go back to using Jacket #1, despite its failings. I used Scotch tape to keep the lining from falling apart!
HT Jacket #3. This is the jacket that I have just bought from Studio Suits. It is interesting to compare #1 and #3. I am pleased to note that #3 provides strong material that solidifies the entrance of the inside pockets. #1 does not do that, which explains the feebleness of its inside pockets.
In closing, I wish to express my appreciation for the high quality of your service.
Yours truly,
Great experience. Leave room for lead time because they actually are cutting to fit.
Everything worked well. It fitted well and was very good material.
Ordered a suit for our wedding and it came out PERFECTLY. The shipping was quick and they responded to my emails quickly as well!
Always great to work with. Good fit, great price. Great quality.
We love StudioSuits, we gave ordered from you before s d have Bern satisfied with everything we order.
Very easy, thanks.
Shopping is great it is the processing and delivery that sucks.
I ordered a custom suit on 7/26 totaling close to $800. This was for my wedding on 9/12, and I figured there would be ample time for production and a shipping delay, if necessary. On my account page, it was listed as "into production" on 7/27. On 8/14, after having not received an update, I reached out to inquire about the delivery date.
StudioSuits brought my attention to an email that was sent to my junk folder. It requested that I buy an additional suit for $99 to ensure that my measurements were correct. Even on the surface, this is not ideal. If it takes 2-4 weeks for shipping in general, why would I quite literally double the process by having an additional suit tailored and delivered?
They were waiting for me to accept or decline an offer to spend MORE money before beginning production on the suit I ordered. Nowhere in the email did it state that my order would not begin production until I responded to this offer. Nowhere on my account page on their website did it state that my suit production wouldn't begin until I responded. The fact that my entire suit's delivery was contingent on this one email, which ended up in my junk folder, is flat out ridiculous.
Further, it wasn't stated anywhere in our email communication just how delayed my order was. The verbiage all seemed to be vague enough that I could assume my order was still on track. They told me it was "into production", that they had contacted their factory, etc. However, when I reached out again after no contact for ten days, they told me they had JUST ordered the fabric from Italy, which will take 10-15 days. Then tailoring. Then shipping. All of this puts the delivery date WEEKS after my wedding. Thankfully they offered a refund, but the process by which they sought to fulfill this order is completely unacceptable.
If I had not reached out to begin with, would my suit have never been delivered? Were they happy to sit on my $800 until I accepted or declined an offer to spend more money?
So now I need to find a new suit that fits our wedding and get it tailored during COVID within three weeks.
Very helpful and understanding. Would recommend Studio to all my friends.
Appreciated the unsolicited updates. Relieved item in time window specified.
I recommend this site. Best suits and great variety of designs and colors
They will NOT offer your money back or replacement jacket even though they argue with your suit measurements.
I was able to order and customize online and it arrived on time and in a beautiful package.
Customization and quality is nice, need to adjust how they determine sizes.
I put all my measurements without issues, the suit is top quality. Thank you!
A great experience, returning happy customer with results
Shopping is easy and quick, with great quality products
It looks super nice and it's not expensive at all. I just have to take my measurements better.
Answer: You cannot call these folks. They do not provide a phone number
Answer: Agreed! Please remove it. This company is a scam and is misleading people
Answer: It takes about 1 month but mostly due to shipping. I was unsure as i never ordered a suit online. From my experience it was a huge mistake. And to add insult to injury the company want more monies to fix their mistakes. My recommendation is to read reviews outside the boundaries of the company. Seems obvious but necessary
Answer: Was your suit ever delivered to you? I am interested in purchasing a suit from Studio Suits. And how long did it take?
Answer: Bad choice: They sell Donegal Tweed, but they deliver some sub-standard wool fabric. No fit, no proper construction, cannot even do a proper shoulder line. Dreadful.
