Lesson number 1 - Stripe is a faceless company - no phone number, no person to talk to.
Lesson number 2 - They will open you account and even after all verification will randomly refund customers claiming Chargeback / fraud (and of course, refuse to provide any details)
Lesson number 3 - they will notify you that they can no longer service your account due to high risk business (without any reason)
Lesson number 4 - then consider your funds in the account frozen and expect no reply to emails.
Please find an alternative if you are a small business without muscle to go up against these guys, they are unscrupulous and cheats.
You wont know it as they do have a very good web interface and platform is neat, etc. but you will get axed when you least expect it. We fell for this trap and lost around USD 1000 and are still contacting them to get $450 back if possible (our account is frozen and does not allow to even payout money in the account)
They claim 24x7 chat support, etc. but its not available. They only ask to send emails and the support is standoff-ish and horrible.
I submitted a document on Sept 26th that Stripe had requested on my end for verification. Once I submitted the document there was a 24-48 hour time frame for review. After 4 days I requested a call (because you CAN NOT call Stripe yourself) the Representative on the phone did not understand the delay and was supposed to forward my Case # to the correct department ASAP. 6 days later I call again and speak to another Rep and NOTHING. 2 weeks later I receive an email stating that I breached the contract and that they were going to close out my account. It's now been 3 WEEKS and I STILL DO NOT HAVE ANY OF MY FUNDS! I keep "Emailing" Stripe and they're automated emails with no resolutions. Stay away from Stripe! They have the worst communication I have ever seen from a company. I can not believe that this is the way this company runs their business.

I had a very bad experience with Stripe.com Payment Processor for my ecommerce business and would like to share it.
I started using Stripe as a payment processor for my ecommerce website On July 2020, and I made about $20K through their payment processor.
I have been providing them with all required tracking numbers and was handling customer service very well and all of a sudden they decided to deactivate my account
And put a hold on %100 of my money for 4 months.
So, I waited 4 months to get my money back which was supposed to be at December 2nd. 2020.
Since then, they've been postponing withdrawl EVERYDAY and I have been contacting them several times over email and they always get back with the automated replies!
I changed my payment from automatic to manual, and whenever I click "Pay out to bank" they show a warning sign "Can not create payouts" and I have to contact support!
I will keep emailing them till I get my money back.
But, hope you guys stay away from them. I don't recommend Stripe at all.

They rob your money, they do not send all the stuff for product. They have taken over 3 months to return a product that is ineffective. This comopany is awful and real difficult to deal with
So long story short my bank account was closed and I did not update anything because I did not know Wells Fargo randomly closed my account a stripe payment in the amount of 9484 shows that it was sent anyways somehow and when I contacted Wells Fargo they said there is no way money would have made it to that account because it is closed you need to talk to Stripe. I got g er Eric responses like we understand your frustration. They were telling me that when the money arrived that account was still open even though on my end I know exactly when my account was closed and that is not so. Finally like on my second or third rap explaining myself over he decided to question my attitude I said exactly I am frustrated and I'm not getting anywhere with you guys except the runaround he decided to keep his attitude up on the phone with me getting into a brief argument I said I am the customer here just trying to get my money back... little would you think about an hour later I get an email telling me something totally different and basically now my money is in transit to the correct account but I feel like if I did not say anything I would have lost on $100.
Stripe scam my money, I have an new account on stripe and I have around usd$8500, I update little information to my domain and they say the account change and I can't get back money, but my account bank name user name is totally same, I have finish order and no any charge back or any dispute, they reject to give me money and didn't reply my email too, it is a cheating company, no trust them
They refuse to allow customers to talk to a human being. They do not follow up with automated requests. They try and tell existing customers of six years what they can sell and what they can't.
I ordered a fold up bed 7/10/2022 and I have been given the run around and still haven't received my purchase.I have asked for a refund and to no avail.
Very pathetic payment gateway. A customer filed a complaint to his bank that we did not give him the service he paid for. They immediately returned the money to the bank and gave me the option to dispute it.
The dispute gives you only 1 shot and you have to share as much information as possible. Keep in mind, there's no SOP they follow to collect accurate information.
I gave them a ton of proof including the report, invoices, chats, etc. and they said they would get back to me in THREE MONTHS.
As you may have guessed, they just said Sorry your dispute is rejected. And poof, my money went into thin air. They do so much KYC on the business that uses them. WTF do you know about the guy who filed the complaint? Jack ****.
Next, one day they decided to disable my account due to KYC and I had to share my national ID with them again. I used the same copy that they had initially approved, it got rejected. I got a new scan, it got rejected for not being clear enough. I went to the government portal and extracted a digital ID, they said its been altered. I've lost a ton of business because of them. $#*! you Stripe.
Total scam if only I had seen the reviews. I can't believe Xero invoicing partner with them. Believe all the reviews, there terrible and should be investigated by the government. Terrible company.
Due to so called high risk business something its not they are holding up over 7000.00 not one client asked for money back so they are indeed holding on to our money and need to be stopped!
The service that this company provide is very expensive, worthless, and problematic. If something goes wrong you won't find a solution because the customer service is terrible. Nobody can help and Stripe must be the winner at all cost no matter if the service that they provided is done incorrectly. If you happened to be unsatisfied there is nothing and nobody to assist you. The customer service representatives' emails do not provide their last name or any information about their role within the company or phone number. All the customer service used the same email address just different people answers at all time. Can't get in touch with them. They have to get in touch with you. Their generic emails do not answer your questions... good luck to you! Further, they will hold the payment received for about 10 days and the exact charge for the transaction is calculated by them using percentage and cents. Customers will only know about the exact charge based on a percentage and until the other person pays you... the higher the amount the higher the fee, so BE AWARE AND BE VERY CAREFUL.

They are going to paused your account payout every 2 weeks. They are going to tell you that is due to service agreement & regulations they have to verify your identity. You gonna receive SAME questions, SAME information requests, SAME forms to complete, SAME website links to verify from multiple company representatives over & over & over again within days & weeks. Different people will be asking you to provide the same info & send you the same emails for verification. In 2 weeks you gonna receive email that your account payout is paused again because due to their policy & regulations they need to verify your identity- and here we go… same process for weeks. Ridiculous company… No customer service phone # exists & you will be just writing same emails back & forth explaining that you already provided answers & additional information to 100 questions & emails they sent a year ago, couple months ago, a month ago, 2 weeks ago…. If you do not want to waste your time, do not be pissed off, save your own money on services or products provided to your customers and just process your business payments smoothly- just choose another company on market who will answer your phone calls and will be serious about your business & your hard earn money.
I just signed up with this company. The 7 day rolling period I understand that. This is where things get my blood boiling, I have been waiting now going on 3 weeks for my deposit. They keep pushing the date out I have sent 5 emails to this company with there saying "we will get back to you within 24 hours" my a** I have not heard 1 word from this company as to why they are still holding my money. Til this very second I cant get a answer. I have filed a claim with BBB and my attorney is filing a clai. NEVER NEVER will I refer this company in fact I have told everyone I bank, and work with SERVICE IS BEYOND WORDS CAN SAY. Holding people's money for your own gain!
Those f*$ckers closed my account and refunded every payment i had in it for absolutely no reason. I had 0 refunds everything was a 100% good... I tried to contact them for over a month with no answer
They take the money from a customer and hold it indefinitely. Claim that the business is too risky and that the customer never authorized the credit card charge. Pure scam!
Simply the worse company to do business with; what a joke!
