Stop Staring Clothing

Purchased an overpriced dress. Had to pay £35.00 tax to ups on top of original cost!
Dress not the size stated cheap rubbish! You will be disappointed do not purchase!
Couldn't leave no star! Buyer beware scam clothing!

PROs: The clothing from this company is excellent. The items run true to size and fit like a glove. I was very impressed with my first order. The quality and workmanship of the dresses is unlike anything I have seen from ASOS, NastyGal etc. I would definitely recommend this site to any one looking for retro dresses. It is pricey, but worth every penny given the quality of fabrics, stitching, fit etc.

CONs: I've ordered twice from the site and on both occasions, even though they have had all my shipping/billing information entered correctly in my order forms, both times, the items were shipped to some non-existent blended version of the two addresses. As a result, even though the UPS shipping they use is super fast, it takes forever as the packages get returned to sender and have to be resent after I've contacted Stop Staring and informed them of the error. On the upside the mistake was corrected and I did receive the package eventually the first time. I am currently waiting for my second order to make its way back to me. I will likely order from this site again; hopefully without the added hassle of the shipping issues.

Had to dispute my charge on my AMX. Thank you AMX. Emailed and called the shop. Sad. I own one of this designers dresses.

I debated buying a dress from them for two years because paying $200 for a dress is kinda crazy to me but I finally took the plunge. I was really excited to finally get the dress I'd wanted for so long. But after I didn't receive a confirmation email for a week, I got worried. I tried calling several times. I couldn't get through to anyone (You have to know the extension and the only extension given was for the receptionist who went straight to voicemail). They didn't respond to my voicemails or emails or online direct messages. I have no idea how to get a real person at this company. Maybe they didnt survive the pandemic and neglected to update their website? I'm now in the process of disputing the charge with capital one. Save yourself the hassle and don't bother with this place.

Ordered a dress... the colour was not like it was portrayed in photo. Requested to return my purchase - zero response. Had to track down a contact number and spent days calling as only got a recording stating hours that phones are answered ( I was calling during office hours) Finally a person answered - assured me I would receive a full refund and began the process. Now communicating via emails. Requested an email when dress was received. Weeks went by and nothing. Started calling again. Yes yes dress was received please allow a few weeks for refund to show on my card. 2 months later I finally got a refund BUT not the whole amount was short over 30 dollars. New email sent asking why... zero response. Will never order from this site again.

Ive bought several dresses over the last few years from this site. They fit me like a glove highlighting my best parts and minimising my not so best ones. The fabric quality is great, the cut is fabulous... the best... and great dresses that you can use for work and/or play. Very sophisticated, some fun & playful, all classy and elegant, most subtly or not so much. Sexy.
The only downside is that they have a limited range of dresses at different times in certain sizes so you might have to wait for a specific dress. However it's worth the wait. They ship internationally without any issues- everything arrived as expected. I will keep looking for new styles/colours to their collection as I absolutely love the timelessness and compliments I get.
