I have tried using this mouse and it is the first mouse that constantly disconnects and makes my other peripherals blink. Regardless if it is in wired, Bluetooth or connecting through the dongle. I have attempted to uninstall and re install and followed all instructions and all appropriate settings to make this mouse work, but it has been a nightmare in doing so, as well as the software making my pc and other applications crash. I have a very expensive gaming pc and no other connected device and mouse has caused issues like this. I had high hopes for this mouse being wireless and based on the reviews and have enjoyed steelseries products so far with the mousepad and headsets but this product has made me realize not to go with everything steel series related.
I need a full refund and fully covered return immediately which is stated in their return policy. It has been a week since they had confirmed having my return. I also took a picture of the shipping receipt and put a copy of it in the box so they could not bs around my shipping refund. I am still waiting and constantly finding myself asking for an update and if the refund also included the shipping cost and can not get a straight answer with generic copy paste responses. The ticket is also constantly marked as solved when no refund has occured and with none of my concerns addressed.
I seriously got tricked into going with this mouse over paid off influencers and hyped reviews lmao stay away or atleast go through Amazon so if they f**k up they can't weasel their way out. They also wanted to treat me as if I was the fault as to why the mouse was not working. I have had a dozen mice and none of them have made my $1800 pc crash like this as well as their software being extremely buggy and conflicting with everything. I have tried everything! I am not crazy tec savvy but why would I have to be to have something so simple function properly while jumping through hoops? Extremely unprofessional!
Horrible do not buy this headset or deal with customer service. I purchased the arctis 7 in April and i have had nothing but issues. The sound quality is s**t the app is beyond s**t the mic is well s**t and now my left headphone is crackling and when adjusted loses sound completely. To top it off even though you buy this from steel series on amazon they cant do anything to refund it or replace it being it "wasn't purchased on their website". To top it all off EVEN MORE! Over 200$(after tax) spent on this POS headset and no warranty and literally wouldn't matter because of the previous. Garbage company I regret ever buying this headset don't make the same mistake i did and find someone else these guys' customer service is horrible to deal with and their products suck massive Balls. My 30$ Logitech headset is by far and i mean by far better.
SteelSeries if you some how manage to read this review. I legit hope you as a company are ashamed for producing such low quality grade freaking A garbage products. 189.99 before tax on a headset that has the sound quality of a basic 5$ random stereo speaker, hell the random stereo speaker might actually be better. Change how you deal with customers put a damn 1 year warranty card in the box ( pretty sure when i got this headset it said in the ad that it came with a 1 year warrenty but ya can't prove that now can I?) Anyway SteelSeries F you! Thanks for ripping myself and every other unhappy customer off.
Also, i did send support a ticket cancelled it after realizing i wasn't going to get anywhere and how steelseries F'ed me in the $#*! and didn't even ask me out for dinner first... nice!
I would like to start off by saying that every positive aspect of my experience has been completely overshadowed by the single negative aspect: their return policy.
I noticed SteelSeries had a sale on gaming peripherals for Black Friday (the day after America's Thanksgiving). I purchased a gaming mouse from the website. The entire purchasing process was seamless and pleasant. The shipping was slow, but within reason considering the holiday.
Upon receipt of my mouse, I quickly realized that it would not function properly with my system. Furthermore, I was not overly pleased with the quality of the product. The construction felt 'cheap' with loose components, fragile plastics, etc. As such, I decided to return the product, because they had advertised a money back guarantee. The nightmare began once I started looking for customer service.
For starters, their customer service is incredibly limited. The only point of contact is through a forum-like system which they have set up. You can post a request for assistance, and an associate will respond, eventually. I waited about 24 hours for an initial response, which was a basic: "I've reviewed your request and have notified the appropriate person to handle it." The appropriate person took over 3 days to respond with instructions for starting a RMA. I quickly followed the instructions, provided the necessary information, and waited. And waited. And waited. I submitted the information on December 12,2013 (30 minutes after it was requested). I waited until January 7,2014 for a response. After 3 weeks of waiting, I opened a second ticket to request support for my first ticket.
I promptly mailed back the product (at my own expense, but I expect and understand that). Today (as of writing this review) marks 3 weeks since UPS delivered the package to SteelSeries. Yesterday, SteelSeries closed the RMA because they claimed to have not received the product. I have been waiting 6 days for a response. They closed my ticket without even bothering to respond to me. I intend to pursue this issue further, and will update my review if I have additional relevant information.
In short, ordering is fast and easy. If you never need customer support, they're great. If you do need customer support, I genuinely hope your experience is better than mine.
