My experience was too bad. It's a scam. How my account 1 went to 0 but my acount manager a Mr. Thomas kan last communication on 6/01/2025 is he will get back to me for anything new, which he has not done.
Start.ca generates the bills on the 1st of the month, and expect payment (payment is due) on the first of the month. The bill is not even sent in advance like a normal bill from any other company. I can understand the first month (when you sign up) it is not possible, however each month after it is not hard to generate the bill and send it to you 2 weeks in advance. NO company I know of does this. The other problem is they require your banking information, so they can do automatic withdrawals. I refused to provide them, because I have problems with companies taking money when it is not there. They keep asking me for this information so they can stick their greedy hands in my account at will. They constantly remind you that it is prepaid servie (and I know that) however its entirely possible to have such a service even if the customer refuses to provide the bank details and makes the payments manually. It is unethical to force customers to make automatic payments. Customers should be able to choose whether or not they feel comfortable enough with the company to hand over such details, and I simply am not comfortable with ANY company having my banking information. Horrible business practices IMO. I am currently looking for another provider.
Startcapital is one of the trusted companies you can work with for financial stability. My experience with my account manager, Kingsley Cole is exceptionally great.
Quick to charge our Visa for the modem and 1st month of internet service but couldn't even mail the modem we purchased with over 2 weeks time to do so and having given them our address FOUR times, we were even told 1 week before our service was supposed to begin that the modem had been shipped out!
Cost us $60 to get our old ISP reconnected (Cogeco fee) and the transfer might not be seamless either so we will most likely be without internet for a certain period of time (which means no tv or phone either!)
Stay far far away from this ISP and pay the extra 2 bucks a month with Distributel or $5-10 with TekSavvy or something!
When we called to cancel the service and get the funds refunded to our Visa their "customer service" hung up on us! LMAO
