I got an eye exam on July 2,2024. I need bifocal and was told that it would take 7 to 10 days for my new lined bifocal lenses to be put in my existing frames. This seem a bit long to me but I accepted and went home.
This morning 15 days later I hadn't heard anything so I gave a call to check on the status. I was told that my glasses were not ready and would not be in until July 23rd because they are bifocals. I told the woman I spoke to that 21 days was completely unacceptable.
I asked that they give me back my frame and refund the charge for the lenses, I am willing to pay for the exam. The woman said ok she had to talk to her manager and would call me back. No call as of yet.

Awful

Inattentive staff. Helped incoming visitors while halting our business...several times. I was attempting to purchase 2 pairs of glasses, and had a vision test from hardly trained staff. After 2 hours they exclaimed computers were slow, we could leave and they would contact me. They texted a follow up appointment to be at 1:30 p.m...AFTER we had left at 2:15 p.m. We were there over 2 hours without purchase status. I'm am going elsewhere to buy my glasses and AM NOT paying for the FREE exam with purchase at Stanton Optical.

Don't waste your time!

I went in for my appointment and all seemed well. It is a virtual appointment and was a bit odd but seemed to go well. I was asked to go to the waiting room and look at glasses while my prescription was sent. I went to the wall that said 2 for $79. The front lady comes over and I asked about the 2 for $79 and she said "Oh, those aren't included. They have a color coded tag."The pair I had in my hand weren't anything special but had a tag that indicated they were $159 PLUS lenses as plastic lenses weren't available in any except the 2 for $79. I asked where those glasses were and she pointed to a table and there were exactly THREE pair of buy 2 for $79.

We can not get this company to communicate. My wite's glasses were suppose be to about two weeks delivery now it seem it's going to be over a month. You can not call the store direct all call go to central location. Then we ask them to contact the lab and that is only accessible through emails. The store has sent at least three emails with no response. Then we go up to the store again to get refund and no one is capable of giving us a refund. The supervisor says she needs to contact her boss. I said call him now or give me the contact number. Neither of those suggestions we received well. So l call their corporate office. Guess what still waiting.
Don't do business with this company. No real customer

Not just do they sell you a pair of bad eyes glasses they lie to you if ask them do you take vsp they yes but when you go to pay your bill they say they can't turn it in to your insurance. Just how scammy is that

I really wish I would've checked there reviews before I went to this place they said 7 to 10 business days it's been 2 wks and just checked agin and it's scheduled for another week out I would never go back to this place and definitely wouldn't refer anyone to go here please find a different place to go there not worth it and prices are way different then what they advertised

Offers not good

Don't be fooled by the $79 offer for the $135 offer. It is not true they just wanted to charge me $560 At their flagger and 36th street locate Location.

I brought my eye glasses at my eye lab in town east as you might know Stanton brought that store I was having trouble with the arms of my glasses they had to be welded on I had the arms repaired I had the glasses for 3 months when trouble started cost $100 for repair Stanton said because I didn't have them fix my glasses I could not get a refund Stanton would not take any calls at the town east store last night I saw on tv a 1-800 number tonight I called and explained they said I could not get a refund what can I do

Very unprofessional poor service and extremely long wait time way over priced was needing glasses for drivers license in one week and when I told them they didn't tell me it would be two weeks before they could have my glasses single prescription nothing special nearly $300 and then they couldn't get them to me on time went somewhere else and got them no problem over same day very dissatisfied would not recommend anybody to go to them paid cash went to get my refund they told me they would have to write me a check and it would take four to six weeks to receive it extremely dissatisfied kept telling me I need to be professional can you see anything professional about what they have done

Not honest about pricing

To begin with this is my first exam ever so maybe its on me but when I called for an app they originally told me that an exam without insurance would be 59 dollars then when I got there they said 100 which I already was like mmmmm maybe I should leave but I was like no I kind of need it we will go forward JUST for the prescription and we'll see if there any options after well after my exam they said I qualified for the 79 two glasses deal which I was like hmbetter than 100 I guess sure I did think to my self how did I qualify I didn't give them any financial info? But didn't think to ask, when all is said and done 8 picked two out the lady at the desk to my face said 79 dollars even SAID NOTHING about lens prices no clarity(haha) that i would be paying more than 79 dollars so I paid 180 for glasses, nothing on any devices showed me the price while cashing out

Wait time 0/10, I asked for a refund for the lens/glasses within 72 hours of leaving their store because of insurance. They refused a refund. Lady on the phone was rude and not understanding at all. I spent over $500 and can't get a refund. 0/10 for this place. Could not even get the manager on the phone

I wanted to see my regular optician but since I was off today and I got an appointment with Stanton like 123. I decided I will let the doctor at Stanton optical examine my eyes. Worst mistake, I'm so sorry I went there. My exam was nothing like I normally receive when I see my regular optometrist. No drops of any kind in my eyes no optometrist on duty just an AI I'm going to say who examine my eyes through a computer. When I was finished I went to check out the eye glasses. Their selection just wasn't up to par. There weren't any glasses to me that were worth buying. Except one pair that I wanted in another color. When my total was added up for the BOGO price. I could not believe the cost was way over $1000.That's with my vision plan included. I was so shock at the price. I just paid for my own exam and that's was it. I just want to let people know. Don't bother with Stanton Optical. Go somewhere else..

I had an appointment today at Madison East and the man that checked me and said that my member ID would not work on my insurance card and I knew I had insurance so I drove an hour and 15 minutes away just for him to tell me that I can't get an appointment I could pay for it cash but why would you want to do that not very happy with Stanton Optical and will never go back

Just had one of the worst experience in Stanton Optical Hodges Jacksonville Florida branch. I booked an appointment with them and was told my insurance is accepted. I brought my 8 year old son to have his eye exam and have his eyeglasses done. After the exam, the specialist told me that my insurance is not accepted and have to come back a week or 2 to check if my insurance is really in their network or not, maybe there's a system
Glitch. So, I called the customer service to confirm the issue but they told me that my insurance is in in their network and its accepted. I went back after 2 weeks but been refused the second time by the same specialist who was with us previously in the counter. I asked for the copy of the eye prescription and willing to pay but they told me it's been deleted already in their system and asking us again to do another eye exam with 60 dollars payment. The inconvenience and the very unprofessional behaviour of the staff really is unacceptable. They made me come back a couple of times just to be refused which is really a big waste of time, fuel and effort. Never will I come back again.

Disappointed

If I could give no star at all I would. I had a virtual exam less them two weeks ago. To say the less I can't see out of the glasses that I have purchased. I took them back and was told that I have to get another pair of glasses which would cost me more. I used my insurance benefits and paid 322.00 for glasses that I can not even use to see. They did not help me at all. I will be found further with this compliant because they are not giving accurate eye exams and not working with helping to fix the problem. Just want to sell more glasses. I picked them up today haven't had my glasses a full day. This company is an absolute ripoff and billing insurance companies giving customers wrong prescriptions.

Expect to over pay. Huge markups. Go anywhere else. Left at closing on a Saturday. Called morning of next business day to cancel after realizing contacts and glasses are cheaper everywhere else. I should of shopped around 1st. Head up shop Stanton after you checked prices anywhere else.

Will never return to this establishment. When my glasses arrived I didn't like them because, they didn't fix my face the way sample pair did. I never got my full refund for my glasses. This place give you the run around. Kenny and Brad clearly doesn't know what they are doing when it comes to refund. Call the Customer service number and all they do is transfer you back to the same store. So basically, if you choose this place, please expect not to get a refund if you do not like the glasses.

Hi I went to Stanton optical to get glasses after a tele video doc checked my vision they told me i didn't qualify for the $79 fr 2 pairs because i needed reading glasses. So the charged me $135 for progressive lenses. They Lied to me! When the progressive lenses came in they were Horrible at best. Couldn't see up close or at a distance. Anmol Bahia was extremely RUDE to me after I wanted a partial refund for the difference. I told her I was lied too and they will lose any future business. Anmol Bahia stated SHE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT MY BUSINEESS!

So they had me see the doc and I again said I want Distance only. The doc said the first prescription was wrong and wrote a new one fr distance only. The $79 pairs. Which are OK now. Anmol Bahia said they won't refund the difference for ridicules reasons. Anmol Bahia was VERY RUDE talking over me. Go somewhere else as they bait and switch and treat you horrible if you have a complaint. There corporate office is a JOKE. RUN THE OTHER WAY!

Pathetic Customer service

They will not replace or refund my glasses because the lens continue to crack. 2ND PAIR IN ABOUT 3 WEEKS. I would give zero stars if you could. The manager told me it is what it is. East Washington location. Said they would call me back that evening and have not heard from them since ( 2 days ago). Very poor service! Take a look at the cracking. Told me to order plastic frames because it might happen again.
