Stamps.com has established a reputation for enhancing shipping efficiency, particularly for small businesses and non-profit organizations, with many users praising its convenience and time-saving features. Positive feedback highlights the user-friendly interface, effective tracking systems, and responsive customer service. However, concerns persist regarding software stability, billing practices, and difficulty in reaching support, with several customers reporting frustration over unresolved issues and unexpected charges. Overall, while the service is valued for its functionality, there is a clear need for improvements in technical reliability and customer support responsiveness to enhance user satisfaction.

Was charged for nothing.
Signed up for an account as first time user. I and technical service couldn't figure out why my computer wouldn't allow a purchase. I gave up and bought stamps at a store.
They charged me for a purchase I didn't make. Next day I tried to get refund and explanation and they closed my account and would only refund me via a check in the mail. They refused to re-credit my credit card. So they TAKE money via cards but only REFUND money via a system that's inconvenient to customers.
You will be charged for your trial period! I didn't find this stated anywhere in the trial promo before signing up, but was charged for my trial period, and I didn't even have a chance to print/use it at all. They will not refund. Also, when I called to cancel, I was given many package options much cheaper (one was free) than the package I was automatically given and charged for. Seems they are hiding things and taking advantage of customers.
Do not put your credit information in to get stamps unless you are prepared to have 15.99 taken out whether you know it or not. It is not free. Since June 2013
I have been charged on my card and I didn't know it. Didn't know that if you don't call them in 4 weeks to cancel you get charged. They will not refund your money either. They say that they expect everyone to review everything before using their site. So beware if you don't read the fine print.
Do your research before using. But, be sure to contact customer support. They had charged me around $300 for their free starter package. I dont know how free means charge me... Then for monthly charge, then a cancellation fee, and a fee for calling after business hours to talk to a supervisor. After demanding for a refund and suggesting that I may sue, I was quickly refunded 100% and my account was terminated. I called to confirm, and they had no record of my account ever being made and they had no idea who I was. I was however emailed transcripts of each phone call the following day. They are a tricky service and only good if you will need to buy postage several times per week. Customer service does their job of trying to keep you, but they are tricky when trying to cancel.
You start out at stamps.com with a free trial, then after a month it's only $15/month. I swap books with other people (using swap.com) and instead of $3.21 per shipment (because of delivery conf) it's anywhere from $1.64 to $2.66, depending on how I package it, which INCLUDES Delivery Confirmation. That's a savings of up to $1.50 PER PACKAGE! That's a lot. Great prices, the software is the easiest thing in the world to download (even for the electronically challenged) and it puts a simple shipping icon on your desktop, they offer a FREE 5-lb. Weight scale that works with the stamps.com software (just plug it into the USB slot on your computer, put the package on and it will weigh it automatically), and other freebies (like 2 credits to your account for $10, stickers to print actual stamps right at home, free boxes of many sizes, etc.); additionally, you can print the postage for any package right onto plain paper at home, and if you accidentally print the item twice or decide not to use the label, they will refund the money to your account. You add funds directly from a credit card or bank account, and it tells you exactly how much you have left at all times, and how much each package will be including any changes. I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE!
Very easy to navigate, very user friendly. Each to reach by telephone and willing to work with you should any problems arise. Highly recommended!
I was testing this out for a client to streamline her postage. I got a charge on my bill for their monthly fee even though I did not use their services and I was only testing it out.
Do not give them your credit card unless you plan to buy stamps. Make sure you read the terms carefully before you sign up.
Answer: Yes. SendPro is less expensive per month but you can only print on a printer purchased from them. Stamps.com is usable on a variety of ink jet, laser and thermal printers
Answer: Impossible I call their Customer Service line went through their answering system then put on hold, hung up after waiting 20 min. Sent a comment to the site email, got a response saying they would get back to me in a day or so.
