In an industry facing big change it is just what is needed, because no matter what the industry faces, it will always boil down to who you know. The site allows you to build your network across disciplines no matter where in the world you are. I would not have 2 films in production and another 3 on my slate if it were not for this site. For those writers who are $#*!ing in the reviews posted here, they clearly don't understand the industry. If you are asking for someone to buy into your script for millions of dollars and several years, it better be perfect and if it is, then make sure you are presenting it to people who align with your vision. No one is going to hand you millions without you earning it, it is show "business" after all. The connections and success are there for the taking if you are smart and ready and conduct yourself professionally.
I'm a writer who has had a very positive experience with Stage 32. I found representation through the site, have met other creatives, have had scripts requested from pitch sessions and have gotten meaningful script coverage from readers of my choice.
Breaking into the business is challenging and odds are stacked against most, so it can be frustrating, but believe this a great resource for writers and film creatives at all stages of the career to get direct access to real decision makers and/or people that can offer professional guidance. I think their webinars/education are invaluable as at a very reasonable price, one get to learn from the best of the best.
I can't attest to the quality of the webinars or the pitch sessions, but my writing partner and I did win the 2nd Annual Happy Writers Comedy Contest. And to Amanda and RB's credit, they came through with exactly what was advertised - a week's worth of LA meetings with managers and production companies. We expected nothing more than lip service, however we hit it off with the one of the companies and we're still in contact months later. Now, who knows where it's going to go? Maybe nowhere. But Stage 32 did put us in a wonderful position to advance our careers.
Stage32 has helped me immensely along my journey as a screenwriter. I've written many scripts under the mentorship of amazing people in the industry. I've also connected with prolific writers, so I'm excited to see where this journey with Stage32 takes me. I hope that anyone wanting to improve as a writer considers Stage32. For me, this platform by far exceeds any that I've come across in terms of being able to propel your writing to a standout level.
I thank God for Stage32.com. There's no rejection letters on just getting in and I greatly appreciate the love and support of the entire community. Search for me on Stage32.com. It inspires me to work hard and create better. I love

Stage32 is a wonderful site that presents people with networking opportunities and to gain insight into the industry. The site is very clean and user-friendly. I highly recommend for anyone looking to network or learn more from those within the industry.
Now Stage32 bought Happy Writers which incorporated into their site. Also another great idea to give writers an opportunity to present themselves in various fashions. But beware that this also costs money and can be used as a money making scheme. I have had coverages done where the feedback was riddled with blatant lies. That included feedback given as if the person didn't read the script or take the time to pay attention to some or all of what they were reading.
One, in particular, where it specified I should invest in Final Draft as my script didn't have any page numbers. Funny thing is I enter all my scripts into Final Draft 9 which automatically formats and puts the page numbers on which was displayed in the PDF file I sent to them.
With anything, there will always be glorified success stories but beware of some of the underlying hidden dangers that can be brought about whenever money is involved.
That is just my honest feedback of my experience with using all that Stage32 has to offer.
I have sent in a number of pitches on my two Scripts to be analyzed and reviewed by professionals. I can only say that I have never heard of any of these people but I have been out of the industry for sometime since my co-writer passed away. There is often times a long wait for a response. However, if you send an Email requesting help you will most certainly get it as I have. That website is Writer *******@stage32.com. Yesterday I responded to an email sent asking if they were on vacation this month as I had not received any emails noting producers looking to read Scripps or pitches. I immediately heard back. So, I sent a reply saying what about the script contest when is that going to be announced? The response I got was. " what contest? ". I have not received a reply from my next message which read "the annual screenwriting contest which I entered" I do think that sometimes the producers don't have time to read the Scripts and so, they just go to anyone who can read them. My general impression is good but open to calling it a scam. LOL
$500 per hour must be the billing rate for the reviewer's time. Perhaps more? My collaborator and I can't imagine she put in more than 15 minutes blowing past any notes on character, plot, dialog, theme, and more. For $150, I feel I received virtually nothing in the way of great advice.
Bought two "First 10 Page' reads by execs I carefully chose. One refused to read it so I was forced to choose a third I did not want. One exec returned feedback, the third did not. Sure, my money was returned but I wanted the feedback. And waited weeks to be disappointed.
Beth, a Lounge moderator, wields power like a sledgehammer. Say a word out of line and get bounced. Disagree with her bad advice and get bounced. She's a nightmare.
Further, there are a half-dozen regulars in the Screenwriting Lounge who have been posting for years. They are generally nasty and take over posts.
A good place for a few laughs. Just make sure they're not at your own expense.
Insofar as six of my scripts received a "consider" for the project and a "recommend" for the writer, I cannot complain about the reviews I've gotten. But paying to consult with industry execs has been a bust, an expensive one at that. I have consulted with a dozen, as of this writing. Nothing from these conversations or written reviews tells me that these folks know more about storytelling than I do. When I defend choices I made, for example, I usually get some form of, "Yeah, you're right." When I ask if they can help me get the script in question on a pathway to a sale, there's always a pause, then a soft "no." Yet these people are managers. So if they know less than I do about the craft of screenwriting and they can't give me tips on how to sell my material, what good are they? This is why I titled my review "Nowhere to go." A platform such as Stage32 could be more beneficial to veteran screenwriters if it could arrange for people in a position to buy or option a script to consult with writers than to continue offering consults with C. E.'s or managers or other would-be rising stars. BTW, The Black List has rated four of my scripts a 7. I offer this only as evidence that I know what I'm doing (much more so than the people I've paid major bucks to read and review my scripts). My advice: figure out a way to connect us with buyers.
It's really sad that Stage32 feels the need to recruit fake reviewers.
Looking at the previous reviews, this page was overwhelmingly against the site and its services just a moment ago. The reviews were a few weeks or months or years apart, different in tone and experiences. All went into specific details and oftentimes included names. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, this page fills up with 5-star reviews raving about the site that supposedly landed them a manager, sales, options, etc., all in the same salesperson tone and length. Amazing!
This goes to show just how unreliable Stage32 is. This actually ADDS to the scam feel and pretty much says it all.
Bad move, Stage32. Bad move.
Pitched in 2016. Got a script request. Sent script. Crickets. Followed up after two months... "exec been too busy to read". Five months... "exec still too busy". Meanwhile, the exec is doing more and more pitch sessions... if the guy is too busy to read, he should probably stop taking more pitching sessions until he's caught up. They've also been known to send the wrong feedback to the wrong people, and they rarely answer emails. Such a waste of money. You're much better off finding a pitching service where you control when and how you send your script and follow up after.
When you see the movie Bigfoot, remember that it was stage 32 that dropped the ball. She was short, to the point of being rude. They were drastically critical on my review and they are a complete waste of money. Don't waste your time. Zero stars, laterally. No talent people should not be discovering talent.
It took 3 weeks to get feedback from a pitch session where it appears the "executive" did not fully read the script, but possibly just read the summary. This industry "executive" was not listed in the IMDB and a good deal of the industry people they drum up are either not in the IMDB or their profiles are blank. Do your research before you waste your money.
Tried the written pitch review service and received results, not only late, but filled with confusing statements that I'll never get to ask about. There wasn't anything that helped me in this review. Should have followed my gut feeling about this pay to play service.
Writers be very aware, out of the eight week course, you are given 3 One-to-One's to gain feedback for your 1-hour pilot with Colleen Labelle. Feedback on your Beat Sheet. You are given 10 minutes. The second One-to-One feedback on your Scene by Scene. You are given ten minutes. Remember you are writing a 1-hour pilot. You can imagine what you get for your third One-to-One when you have written your full script. I didn't hang around for them to waste any more of my time and money. Stage 32 claim in their advertising of this course; "You will receive direct and personalized feedback on your work throughout the eight weeks so you walk away with a vetted pilot script that you can shop to producers, executives and production companies." If anyone knows of any producer or production or poor reader who would happily read my script that has had this little feedback and no script rewrites, do send me their email. Stage 32 and Colleen Labelle (Stage 32 can't even get the woman's name spelt correctly) think this is industry standard. Stage 32 don't surprise me. But a member of our industry happy to put her name to a course that claims that your script is vetted and good to go out to the industry is extremely disappointing. I am sure Colleen Labelle would not want to spend her weekend reading a script that has gone through this limited process to land on her desk.
First, they were never be able to get my phone right, so I paid money, didn't get a call back, didn't get a refund either.
Second, I sent my script for review. The reviewer read a few first pages, briefly looked at the middle, and maybe a page from the end, as he was very much unfamiliar with the story.
The Bottom Line - waisted of money
They have producers review your material as a way to get you to use their service to to coach your pitches and writing, which is the bulk of their revenue. I won 2nd place in the Austin Film Festival and the same pitch was raved about by an Oscar winning writer, but apparently doesn't make the grade for Stage 32's expertise lol Or maybe I should pay for their service to improve? Yeah sure
I was "married" (conned) by Bleu Pride for 2 years, and was directed to this website by someone else who was conned.
Everything this man claims to be ( he's had about 54 so called professions in his life) is FAKE. He will use you, con you, and take you for ALL you are worth.
Proceed with caution... ugh he is pure evil.
He will come accross as a genius super amazing knowing everything about whatever field of work you are in... this is his con... RUN!
Jesus please protect anyone in Bleu Prides path and thank you for delivering me from his pure evil intentions.
They have over 400,000 members and they generate between
$1 mil. - $5 mil.in Revenue for 5 - 10Employees
Dreams for sale?
About 1-2% will make any serious success, money or connections.
They won't let you sell your projects directly to the 400,000 - that's THEIR job.
Left on my own accord after a reprimand for connecting members IN MY network about my Pinterest and Patreon sites for a project... but I was getting lots of sales, email and contact about the classes and contests that help them raise the 1-5 million...
If it works for you, great. Otherwise you're just making them richer.
Answer: It is free to explore and free to join. There is a higher level of services availabe to Writer's Room Members at a monthly fee.
Answer: Absolutely. I assume everyone knows to register their script at the rider skills. So you are protected. Whether or not you are a member of the guild yet you will be protected by the guilt if anyone should steal your work. I love the Writers Guild.
Answer: After you have put in your credit card information And download it to a picture or your script you will get a number. It's a fairly long number and that I believe is what is referred to here.
Answer: Hello, Beryl. Stage 32 has the best jobs section I've seen from the standpoint that it allows the poster to list all the aspects of their project along with all the cast and crew needs of the project. Members can then apply directly to the job listing. I've used it before and gotten a few gigs for roles that I applied for. The site has grown in leaps and bounds from when I posted last year!
