Very good experience, except for one little thing: I didn't know that I need to upload the verification file on a different folder than root so I had to contact the support team. You should explain that a bit better.
It went smoothly. Hopefully you did not want the store email but rather the one we use for the biz is what I put in I had cancelled and reordered as I did not need the more expensive SSL. It went very well. I am very satisfied.
Good, although I would have liked to have received an email advising that the certificate has been approved, issued and was available for download.
I did not know the certificate was ready for download until I logged into the My Account on the site to check it.
The instructions on how to generate a private key and generate a CSR were clear. I don't like that I need to renew the cert every year, but that seems to be becoming the new normal with any certificate vendor.
Re-filling my company info and existing domain names every time is annoying. Could you guys save it in a cookie or sth?
Update: re-filling domain names is also error prone when all I want to do is to add a new domain. I actually miss-filled my newest order 3 times before making it through.
Seems like a great deal! I hope it works out...
Follow up: And it did! No wildcards, so I have to put everything on ssl., but that's expected with the bargain price. Very easy to set up, although I wish the setup instructions mentioned that a mail server on my domain was required as a prereq.
I pay all my bills with my virtual card which is linked to real credit card. But your system didn't accept it and raised an error "use bank account or credit card". I am really dissatisfied with it. I had to use my credit card which i didn't want to use in any internet payments.
Everything was great except the instructions to install it. Not your fault or problem but it would be nice for an obvious install like mine on CPanel exactly what to do, step by simple step from generating the first thing to installing the last thing.
Also - when I did the download of the file to let you know that I was the one running my domain - there was no obvious sign that anything had happened or message that you were going to follow up and test the file and then confirm and send the certificate. I was just sitting there wondering what the next step was!
Anyway thanks and kudos for a value for the $ SSL.
Excellent product and easy to use/navigate site. Would like to see a bit more information or general guidelines as to the installation process. A general explanation on the files that the customer receives would also be helpful.
I know there is lots of installation docs, but easier/multiple ways to navigate those docs might be helpful. I worry about SSL certs every two years, and have to reteach myself hw to install them each time.
I have been a customer of SSLs.com (formerly Cheapssls.com) for several years. Their prices are unmatched, and their customer service is prompt and professional if you should ever need help with anything.
Fair experience so far. Site is fairly easy to navigate and I was able to find the detail and information I needed to make a decision. Purchase process has been straight forward. The rest of the experience is yet to come.
Good overall experience.
I ordered a standard SSL cert, then decided I would be better off with a multi-domain cert. One of the domains was on the new ".online" TLD, which their system rejected as invalid. I reached out to them via their Live Chat option, and their customer service rep was able to put the order through with all the requested domains, and was also able to cancel the previous cert order that I no longer needed, without a hassle. They were very professional, efficient, and friendly; I felt like they were a genuine, knowledgeable rep who wanted to help me rather than the typical (for other companies) experience of outsourced "help" that tries to juggle 20 conversations with only a tenuous grasp of the English language.
Quick ordering. I actually made a mistake in my order and chatted with their on-line support. Got a quick answer, fixed my mistake, stayed in chat while the validation process was going on, helped with the setup. I got a lot for the little I paid. Very happy...
I have made a stupid mistake (without putting proper hostname) to generate CSR and they are allowed to return the old cert and buy a new one with the refunded amount.
The customer service is excellent.
The certificate didn't come right away, I had to contact support who fixed it. The.crt file had problems (a blank line in the middle), I had to figure out the problem and solve it, wasting a couple of hours.
The process for purchasing and then setting up a DV SSL certificate via SSLs.com was very straightforward and quick. The instructions provided were clear and accurate. The product itself seems to be entirely fit for purpose for my personal website. On the basis of my experience to date, I would be very happy to go with SSLs.com again.
So far good, lets see how complicated it gets. Edited Apr-09-2018 It was not complicated, but the certificate is not actually showing the company name and company details etc as it shows in the details from browser address bar.
Bought a comodo positive ssl
Very Good price,
Quite easy system,
Certificate was sent by email to the certificate email address, not to the administrative address used to certify the domain just earlier.
The email used was not displayed.
Certificates are not stored in the web interface.
I did not find a way to reissue the certificate once activation has been done.
I spent HOURS on chat with them trying to get it to work and it never did. All they did was continue to run me around in circles. I eventually cancelled with them, and figured out how to do it for free by myself. I had them up and working in less than 10 minutes. This company is a scam. They just wanted more and more money and couldn't get it working.
Answer: I have been using them for a couple of years and the certificates work fine for ecommerce.
