They are terrible for the 1st amendment-and I don't even get excited or venture beyond the obvious facts about the US. They protect their liberal agenda. And Fox is not conservative. They all want to see the world at war. They shadowed banned me and a friend who use the same computer.
These are the worst that exist where they manage many news pages and do not allow free expression and for any reason without having a basis and foundation because they block you but the worst thing they do is that they sell the users' information, they are a scam so no I recommend that no one comment or give their email or data on pages that they manage
They claim to want to keep a certain kind of online environment, but will censor anyone for pointing out common knowledge facts that their so-called moderators, who are just bots looking for key words and or phases to censor. It's a joke of a service there are better ones out there.
Don't be fooled by the Orwellian name of this company and their bogus, sanctimonious mission statement. Their fundamental fuction is to strategically censor a certain political perspective under the pretext of "creating a safe place." Always remember, "content moderation" is Silicon Valley's euphemism for censorhip. And censorship, not only infringes on the speaker or author, but also on society's access to open dialogue and debate - the activities ClosedWeb pretends to value.
This company does nothing more than censor content that is posted. It would be better for the world if this company was shuttered, its employees put into unemployment, or just sent to the bottom of the ocean. And the assets of the company deleted from the face of the earth
Can't reply since I don't have an address for this company. Does anyone have the mailing address and phone number of OpenWeb?
It is amazing to watch as they openly promote online toxicity at the expense of calling it out. I've reviewed both reports I've made success rate vs. deleted of mine comments, and their line is definitely pro racist, pro bigot. You will struggle to get the Ai to even recognize obvious racism. But, the more appalling aspect is the "personal attacks" moderation. If you're a certain political belief type, you can fling whatever insult you want, openly, but if you say "that's idiotic", which is targeted at an idea, not a person, immediate deletion. I went through a few of their clients web comment sections, and it's a pretty universal bias, with Yahoo being the worst. I haven't been able to find if they are in charge of MSN, the only board I've discovered as more toxic than Yahoo.
Can anyone find anything objectionable to the post I was trying to make in Yahoo's financial group? I was posting only facts, nothing subjective. Some people are being mislead by others with disinformation and OpenWeb is blocking me for some reason.
The first pic is just prior to posting, 2nd is seconds later, 3rd is email notification I received.
Yahoo needs to find another moderator.
I've had simple comments regarding whether a stock should split just to make it easier for employees to purchase shares of their company stock rejected because it violated policy. I've had several other comments rejected as well, and this is getting very annoying.
There is no appeals process with Yahoo's Openweb forum. It seems like the AI can misinterpret a single word in a comment and reject it with no appeal. In one instance in an article about breast cancer the word breast was apparently a trigger despite the author of the article using it. Very often the author's words cannot be used in the comment without rejection. The following is an example of being rejected:
"I had property up near Boone where we planned to retire but to be honest the more we explored the area the less we wanted to stay. The church to common sense ratio was just too high for us. My grandparents were Baptists but its too much like indoctrination to keep people dumb now. While I love the Raleigh area (some of my favorite places are there). I can't balance the Angus Barn, Top of the Hill, and Morehead Planetarium with the rest of the state. In some ways the change to Fort Bragg was the final straw for me. I lost too many friends there to ever call it something else. To me it was never about some general no one paid attention to, it was about the fact that the troops there made it what it was - something too many people overlooked in their rush to...whatever they call it now when you put a new suit on an old pig.
Nothing offense just a statement of facts of why I sold my land in North Carolina. Yet, rejected with no explanation, no appeals process.
"Christian Zionists need to stop" was censored! Why? Just one example out of so many where comments on favoring Israel are allowed but it doesn't allow mention of Zionists. Why are we allowing an Israeli founded company control our conversations?
Israeli company openweb censors my yahoo comment: Call your Congress people to support Cori Bushs' "Cease Fire Now!" resolution. Don't be complicit in war crimes with taxpayer money to sell US made bombs to kill children like this!
I wrote an accurate comment and emailed them links to back it up about fentanyl being revenge for the opium wars but of course it was censored for being about China and it might hurt their market with them. My question is if I am able to post 6 articles proving this, what basis did ban this comment. Are their reviewer qualified to do their job because they clearly did not do due diligence. I also have quite a few degrees including degrees in the disputed area. Their reviewers are clearly not up to the task. Companies should run from them and not use them.
I have had the same atrocious experience as the other negative reviews here. But, notice something else: the distribution of the ratings here. They're nearly all 1s with a tiny number of 5s, and nothing in-between. The 5 star reviews sound like they were written by an OpenWeb ad department, not an actual person. So, rather than actually improving their moderation, OpenWeb spends it's resources trying to artificially boost it's reputation with transparently fake reviews at this, and certainly other, reviewer websites.
On Yahoo you can type WHITE SUPREMACISTS but not BLACK SUPREMACISTS. On Yahoo the words below are open game for anyone the Hasbara fellowship posts. Israel moderates the comments and any Israeli company is an Israeli government company. So, its safe to assume that these are Israeli policies to America.
Palestinians can be referred to as the follow
But the WORD ZIONIST OR ZIONISM are prohibited and will result in your post being censored.
MUSLIME
MUZZY
COCKROACHES
ANIMALS
RATS
They don't exist
They're a made up people
That there are no innocent civilians in Gaza
Nuke them all
Turn Gaza into a parking lot.
The pro Israeli trolls go by the name of Arvram Vogler, Barbara, Richard Messina, Phillip et al... but all are Israelis posting the most hideously sinister remarks about Palestinians and any American they want.
But if you're pro-peace, pro-Palestinian or anti zionism be assured this company has your data and will use it against you. This is an affront to all Americans. That a nation of genocidal religious and ethnic extremists aka ZIONISTS who insist they're God's chosen and that God was a real-estate agent who sold them Palestinian lands.
They use our money to censor us, then kill with our money in the name of America. We are tied up with them so bad they've infiltrated our technology and have taken over our social discourse.
Through AIPAC they own our Politicians. Americans have been sold to Israel. Look below at their remarks.
Today this comment was rejected.
Lmao... polls are not valid at all any more. Will not even come close to getting enough votes. Lets make sure openweb doesnt censor my post... rainbows, bunnies, puppies, so cute. Lol
They truely have no guidelines other then whomever reads it may not like it rejects it. I encourage anyone to see for yourself. Openweb is just not a good thing. Nice that someone not even in america can control what is shared. Class action lawsuit perhaps...
This jackass program censored actual comments quoted from another article on the same topic. Clowns.
If you criticize the Russian war crimes and use the word "damn" they kill your comment. Who runs this group? Putin? His lackeys like Diaper Don?
One of the absolute worst commenting packages out there. "Moderation" is virtually non-existent in any useful way:; right-wing/Russian trolls are given carte blanche to say any despicable thing they want and bury any meaningful discussion; shadow-banning is a favorite tool, even down to shadow-banning individual comments - apparently the "moderators" are either too stupid or too indifferent to realize there are ways to tell if they're doing it to you; racist troll-trash can post 24/7 for months or years without being banned, but a "naughty word" on the wrong site - or even contradicting one of the trolls - can get you banned on some websites. Or permanently shadow-banned with absolutely no notice or warning.
Why do sites use OpenWeb for comment sections? It often suffers from login issues, reply incapabilities, and performance issues on mobile web. There is no reliable way of viewing your own posts or activity. It often glitches if video is posted on the same commenting page.
This ISP are croocks you will never speak to their customer service, they will promise to czll and never do, only some stupid zelda is responsible for answering clients and you never find her. Answer: It is next to impossible. Their 'rating' is abysmal...and they practice 'shadow-banning'.
