Probably 3.5 stars. It was my first event and if a greater percentage of the ladies had turned up it would have been more. On the plus side the people that were there were very chatty and friendly... and the next one is free.
The event was well organised but, only 7 women attended because some did not turn up on the night, the host dealt with this well but it meant that there was some waiting around and not many women to choose from.

Unforeseen circumstances prevented this one from being great. Think the host needed a bigger flow chart :) He tried his best. Besides, an additional minute for each date would be great!

Mat was a great host, I think we were all a bit nervous at first but he made it really fun and relaxed. Maybe a slightly little more time per person, as we seem to spend 5 minutes talking about corona!

I signed up and thankfully didn't pay a penny. Immediately I started receiving messages about gorgeous women who had "winked" at me. Oddly enough they were all from the same town: Gosport. Now, either the ration of females to males in Gosport is so uneven or this is a scam. Having read some reviews about Speeddater, it all made sense. I am staying well away.
Steve was great, he's a host worth going to another event for. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because there were some technical teething issues beyond Steve's control. And I think that given the technology factor perhaps it might be worth giving every a little extra time as there were a few times when the lag meant we ran out of time without being able to really know if this is someone worth 'ticking'

In just a few days I got like 50 emails and as many chat messages, obviously from scammers (unless 22 years old models are suddenly finding me attractive). The event was less than average - 3 min 30 sec to get to know someone is not enough and we just exchanged boring information like job or such. For all I know half of the girls there were scammers too anyway.
Also think carefully about what their "80% get at least one match" mean. It's fair to assume that 100% of women at these events get at least one match (unless there's some really big problem with them), so that's only 60% of men that get at least a match. And that still seems quite high, most likely speeddater is twisting the numbers further and really less than half of men get a match.
The event was well-organized. Speeddater was a great way to meet new people. There were 2 girls I liked a lot and I matched with 1 of them, so I'm pretty excited because we have our first date tonight. I hope it works out. If not, I will definitely do it again.

It was a great fun with good people attending, but I feel slightly less positively about the number of people in the event (11 people, incl. Myself vs. 20+ in an in-person dating event I attended last year). Would be good to at least have 12-15 dates to feel value for money. Also should have more than 15 seconds count down, especially as there was some lags.

I really enjoy talking to everyone via virtual speed dating! Great that you split the men and women into different groups - it work much better that way. Maybe if you could try and find more people to take part. Also, maybe if you could organise for us to not just speed date, but also do an activity, such as answer questions together or something? Because it was rather short. Also, if there are only 8 women to see, why not make the date a bit longer - I found they were only maybe 3-4 minutes long. Why not make them 5 minutes therefore?

Fantastic, prompt date rotation. The host Steve was very professional and interacted very well with all the participants. Had a great time would like it to do it again sometime in the future. That's if I don't get a match from the first event thoroughly enjoyed every second! Thank you for putting this great event together

Total scammers. Signed up just for an event and have ended up being invoiced at 15.99 a month for an online dating service I did not want or sign up to.
I will be seeking legal action regarding this as I have been conned out of 60 GBP before sourcing the cause of these monthly invoices.
This website is a total scam! Sadly I have got to agree with the other reviews. I paid 24 pounds for a speeddating event where there was twice more women than men. The event went on anyway and they refused to give me a refund. To add insult to injury, they charged my debit card on the following month. After reading internet reviews I called Visa to cancel my card to prevent further debit card charges. My advice would be that if you want to be part of an event, you should pay at the door after you have checked how many people turned up and pay cash to avoid Cupid ripping you off.
Claire was a fun host, making everyone feel comfortable and happy:-) An additional minute for each date would be great! Just a shame that not everyone turned up. Which I know is out of your control. Was great to meet the people that did turn up though.

Attended the London singles party on Saturday. I went along with my 3 friends and we had great fun, it was well organised and very busy. Really loved the venue and the hosts were friendly and helpful! The normal speed dating sessions were a bit loud but there was like 300 people there so i guess that was to be expected. Highly recommend!
What inadequate people sit on your site, there is nothing positive in them only negativity. I will never get acquainted with anyone through your site again.
I went because I wanted to have a fun experience and was ready to start dating again. There are several different services offered and I found that the quality of people, the venues, and the hosts for the SpeedDater.co.uk events have always been tops. Ultimately it's still dating so the nights are never perfect; but I've always felt comfortable, had a great time, and I've made some great friends. Show up planning on having a good time and you will.
I have been to one event so far and it was the most fun had in a very long time! The people at the party were funny and interesting. If you want to expand your social circle, meet attractive individuals, and possibly spark a connection, I suggest you give Speeddater a try.
