Although the service technicians are always great and very pleasant, whoever is in charge, in the scheduling times for service should be fired immediately the last four appointments I made with Slomins about my alarm system-they usually come hours before they were supposed to arrive or hours after they were supposed to arrive- this happened to me four times in a row never even got an apology when I called-if it ever happens to me again, I will cancel my contract. I am sick and tired of this company's rearing my wife's time or my time, but not arriving in the window they provided
I've been with Slomins for 20+ years both oil and alarm. I've became temporarily disabled and they cut me off like a piece of 💩. Applied for assistance for an emergency delivery because I was out of oil. My social worker called them for an emergency drop. They refused. Many thousands of dollars give to Slomins and all I got was 🖕🖕. Never trust a company that won't help a valued customer.
This company is terrible, they cancel my service after sending the bill to a different address then want an early termination fee I'd never use them or recommend them
Slomins Alarm company is the worst, since April I am being charged $28.62 for "maintenance fees", when I called them they said it's a one time yearly fee which I did not understand nor agree with but I paid it, because they bill you every 3 months I then noticed the same fee on the next bill and now I just got my most current bill and the fee is on there again, we had an issue with our system and they said for someone to come out it will be an automatic $100 fee but yet they are charging us a maintenance fee which we never signed up for in the first place. We have been calling their corporate office all day and they keep saying the supervisor "Doug" is unavailable to talk to us, the rep we spoke to is "Sal" and he is extremely unhelpful. This company is a rip off and people need to start reading these reviews and do not give them your business. I will be contacting the City of New York and the Better Business Bureau to file a formal compliant and will be taking them to court for these charges as well as any termination fees for breaking this contract because they are built on lies and fraud, they mislead their customers and do not want to take responsibility for their actions. I have my own business and I will be spreading the word on this experience to all of my customers and it will be blasted on social media as well. This company is built on lies and deceit, absolutely no integrity!
For the last 6 years my wife and i had an alarm monitoring system through Slomins after our 5 year contract expired, Slomins offered us a free camera to monitor our home for a monthly fee and a new 5 year contract, we asked if the camera would work on my samsung note smart phone Slomins said yes it would, this was in Septermber 2014 as of January 2015 Slomins could not get this camera to work on my phone, Slomins now claim well it's not our fault, It's your old phone. My wife and i pleaded with Slomins to voild the contract because we are not getting what we contracted for, Slomins could care less.
My mom just signed a contract to have her oil heater maintained. She explained prior to signing the contract the she only uses the boiler for heating water. She has an alternative heating system for house heat. The tech came today for the maintenance part. She told him she DOES NOT USE THE BASEBOARD HEAT and hasn't for many years BEFORE he did anything to the heater. He proceeded to open up the valve for the baseboard heat (without telling her) and a few minutes later she heard water running in her bedroom. She looked and it was running down her wall. There was a leak in the baseboard heating pipe in the upstairs bedroom that was pouring water into her wall. The tech said not to worry that it probably didn't get into the walls even though it was running for at least 5 minutes or so and there was very little water on the carpet in the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs bedroom. She asked if Slomin's was covered for something like this and he told her to contact her homeowner's insurance. We (her daughter and husband) contacted Slomin's to escalate and they said they were not going to do anything about it, that she needed to contact her homeowner's insurance. My mom is recently widowed (my father just passed in July of cancer) and the tech basically left her with this issue. I am mortified at their response. I am very disappointed that this company would leave her in this situation with absolutely no help or support. This company does not have any integrity. I am mortified that they (including management whom we also spoke to) are not taking responsibility and making sure this was immediately addressed and someone came in to dry out the walls and ensure anything else that was damaged was fixed. Thank goodness my mom has us, she was at a loss as to what to do and was willing to accept what the tech said about not worrying that the water went into the walls.
Manager is very ugly person... Never buy again... The manager talks to you so you want to send it to the manners
