I'm watching the World Cup games on Sling. When I cannot watch a game live I am recording the games. The recordings are set to 2 hours and 45 minutes. If the game goes into Shoot-outs the recording ends prior to the end of the game. So if you want to watch the recordings of Morocco v Spain and the Croatia v Brazil games - you will miss the end of the game and the final score.

Was told that sling would carry the Stanley Cup playoffs-it is true to a point but they do not honor the rest of the contract. You get 50 hours of DVR service-I had 30 hours left so I want to tape the playoff series due to my work schedule. Tried to tape the game and there was no provision for taping so I called sling customer service and was informed that taping was not available so I asked for a refund and was going to switch to a decent provider, and was told that is not possible. Tough is basically their response. Had them before and had issues with the DVR-sometimes it fails to save where you are watching an event and you must go back to the start again. Guess I should not have been surprised as the owner is Dish network. Too many good streaming companies to waste time and money with the likes of sling.
Update-after the weekend the DVR which supposedly worked failed miserably. When you tried to watch a college world series game all you got was an orange loading circle-just beyond pathetic.

SlingTV is a good concept and it would be fantastic if it worked properly. I have so many buffering problems that it's nearly unwatchable. I have tons of bandwidth and can stream other services on multiple TVs and other devices concurrently, so I know it's not a problem on my end. SlingTV channels also get stuck in an ad loop, where the same ad will play over and over, 30 or 40 times, for 20 minutes or more, until I just give up and watch something on Netflix or Hulu. This is unacceptable for the price. But here's the kicker: SlingTV has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Zero. No customer service of any kind. They pretend to have chat, but their chat is a bot that mines your inquiry for keywords and throws up canned responses. It's infuriating. There's no e-mail, no phone number, and no one replies to inquiries on their Facebook page, either. So if something goes wrong, you are SOL. No remedies, no refunds. I recently fell for their latest scam, where you pay upfront for three months' service and they send you an AirTV antenna and amp box. Well, if you guessed that the AirTV setup didn't work, you win the prize. And there's no way to speak with anyone or cancel my service with a refund. This incident is the end of the road for my relationship with SlingTV. There are SO many more worthwhile streaming services to keep banging my head on the wall for SlingTV.

Sling TV service is terrible. They make it almost impossible to talk to a live person. They want everything done online. They do not prorate billing and continued billing for the NBA package after the season ended. I tried to cancel online and the NBA league pass section of the site would not let me deselect the service. I had to do a online chat to cancel. I did the chat on June 18th. My billing cycle started on the 17th. One day before. They refused to refund and charged me another full month. That alone seems like a scam. Supper easy to sign up, super had to cancel. But the real scam is that they are not offering me any services at all for the extra charges they refuse to refund. The NBA Season is over and the channels they are still charging me for have no content on them! They are blank screens. I shouldn't have to cancel. The subscription should have ended when the season was over. Sling is a poor value based on cost to content of new competitors. And their customer service is absolutely horrible. Worse than the cable TV customer service I cut the cord from when I came to them. Sling is Overpriced and needs basic customer service 101 training. I do not recommend their service.

What a horrible experience and SCAM like one! I subscribed to SlingTV Orange & Blue because of their ads and claims, that they will have channels showing FIFA Qatar 2022, and I paid like 70$ or so, and when time came to watch with family and friends, Lo and behold we couldn't because apparently (Fine print!), it has to be part of your local channels something something, and I canceled service that I never used not for one single whole hour! Because they advertised having it just like YouTube! The only difference YouTube TV and took me a few seconds browsing YouTube TV, and I got what I am being told I were paying for!

Please don't e Celia get such behavior!
It's certainly a SCAM!

Agent and her supervisor told me it's in the fine print?! So I have to read a manifesto! A whole book to be able to learn that SOCCER FIFA games won't be live while advertised as such! Very deceptive behavior!

I want my money back! Obviously!
But they declined, and I am sure they got a ton of these calls, hence the vehement resistance to refund!

But I won't shut up and get robbed, because that's how it felt!

I canceled but they won't refund the whole month, that they were even able to verify, I hadn't been using the service at all!

I won't condone that behavior and I will push back against big companies scams!

We gave it a try, as we were caught by the respectively cheap price in comparison to YouTube TV.
We bought the basic package and added the news channel on Top.

SLING has been failing us in each single dimension the WHOLE TIME

Here are some REGULAR Examples YOU WILL FACE:
1) SLING Freezes. While watching TV, it just stops and then nothing happens. The only way to get control of your TV is to switch it off and on again

2) You open the channel up and it Buffers (see photos attached) FOREVER. The only way to come out is to switch the TV Off

3) Customer service is absolutely useless. All they know is to blame your internet provider. Note that 24 months using YouTube TV the same WIFII was NEVER a problem

4) Customer service: all they know is to let you switch the TV off, unplug, wait and re-plug. I did this operation in 3 days more often than in my whole life

5) Customer service: wrote for support many times to the customer service, got an automatic EMAIL and then NEVER hear from them back

6) Even when you click on the webpages above, there is no link

7) Service: once you have paid, your money is GONE. SO even if you shut down this useless "TV provider" your money is GONE.

I've been a SlingTV customer for two years and I've had loads of service issues and complaints about channels that do not work and SlingTV claims that it is due to technical difficulties but seriously it's been over a year that I have been unable to watch anything on these channels. My next complaint is about the poor quality of the picture due to severe pixelation and freezing screens, that has been a problem for the entire time I've been a customer. When you try and reach SlingTV by phone, be prepared to be left on hold in excess of five hours because they do not bother to answer your phone calls. SlingTV does continually hang up or disconnect your phone calls because they have no intentions on actually answering them or providing the assistance or customer service that you are entitled too or desperately need because your services do not work. I feel that SlingTV knowingly and with intent defrauded me by debiting there charges from my account each month and then I feel that they failed to provide the goods or services that they were clearly paid for in advance. I feel that it is morally outrageous, truly disgusting and shameful that SlingTV keeps taking my money but adamantly refuses to answer my telephone calls, or my requests for assistance through there website while requesting to speak or chat with someone from there online tech support staff but no one bothers to answer the chat and your told to try again later. It's been several days that I do not have tv services that they were paid for and no one from SlingTV cares. How many times must a customer complain to a company before they actually step up and help? SlingTV adamantly refuses to address, answer or amicably resolve the issues that I have mentioned. I feel that SlingTV can not be trusted or taken at there word because they certainly are not honest, reputable, or trustworthy. I feel that they deliberately play games with our services simply because they do not appreciate or agree with customers that tell it like it is. I do not recommend SlingTV because I do not approve of what I feel is there use of totally unethical and unscrupulous business practices and tactics that rip off and deceive there customers. Please feel free to view my photographs along with my video so that you can see firsthand the horrible services that I receive from SlingTV. Some of these photographs were taken yesterday, while some were taken a few weeks ago and the majority of them were taken the past 2 years. I am very interested in getting in touch with other dissatisfied SlingTV customers to see if they would consider being part of a class action lawsuit against SlingTV.
