Great channel line-up. Terrible connections. Delayed access occurs frequently. Must wait for minutes for selected channel to turn on.
I was a subscriber to sling tv and I cancelled on 9/1/2020. They charged me $30 for nothing on 9/1. I am never going away until they give me my $30 back.
Sling tv was great when it first started. I subscribed to it thought it was wonderful then later stopped service but not because I had a problem with sling. So recently I decided to go back mainly to get the football games and there is absolutely no reason anyone needs cable anymore but now I realize Sling has definitely changed. The DVR is awful it barely works. Your lucky when you choose a show to watch if you actually get to watch it because sling will go to the beginning and then suddenly switch to the end and go back and forth processing until it just completely goes black. Just so so so many issues now I had to cancel. So very disappointed. Hey sling at least you were good for a little awhile but your definitely passed your prime
Do not subscribe to Sling TV if you care your money. They will add an unavoidable commercial which will force you to miss your favorite show. YouTube is much better and more loyal; if you are paying you don't have to see the commercials. Customer care do not resolve the issue but rather disconnect the call. Never seen such unprofessional attitude from any other company.
Horrible, only use if you are on a limited budget. You will experience alot of freeze & black screens, cutoffs, delays& very limited dvr of only 50 hours. Customer Service is now not live and stinks. No refunds or credit offered or given for the drops or poor service. No international component. Does not work in other countries I've traveled too. Just absolutely sucks. I spoken from my heart and customer. I only liked it for the history channel.
After a years of being a customer I have seen constant buffering, errors, and all out fails. I understand it is what you pay for. It works great when it works. I do not recommend Sling for Sports it always cuts out or starts buffering in the middle of a game. I do not recommend airTV unless you get it on an Antenna already installed with great reception. AirTV does not get you better reception and it does not fix any problems if you have them. I am in a difficult area for reception and only get the reception I already had. The Sling guide for ESPN is always out of wack and miss-labled but I'm Sure that is on ESPN.
I do recommend an express Roku player with the sling app if you travel. Worked great while staying at places on family vacations for those couple of hours before sleep and while waiting for places to open. Also on your phone at the airport.
It's interface is awful. It's "DVR" is awful I guess you get what you pay for, but I'm guessing the monopoly/Price Fixing of $60 a month will kick in at the end of the year.
I sign up for a free trial, I had canceled but it didn't cancel and the bill came on my card. I call to get a refund and I was told that they don't do refunds even though you haven't logged in any day after the first day of trial. That's ridiculous I'm paying for something I never used.
Get your order right because they do NOT REFUND!
The price is good but the user interface makes viewing so frustrating it is not worth it. That's because there are so many inconsistencies in their listing-how programs are listed, whether one click or two clicks gets you back someplace or not, etc. So you can be watching a show and intend on pausing it. But it boots you out. Now try to find which episode you were watching. Good luck on that one. Say you were watching Episode 14 Season 3 of a show. You find the listing for the show itself. Now you can double click a remote to get the listing of all the episodes... or not. Sometimes the list is there and sometimes it's not. And that is true about everything having to do with Sling TV. See the pic for an example of the inconsistency. Looking for a particular episode. One provides a description of the episode. The other does not. One thing you can count on tho. When you click on any of the shows you are forced to watch about 15 commercials before you get a hint about whether or not that is the episode you were watching. So hunting it down means waiting and watching 15 commercials, finding it is not the one you were watching and trying the next one, again watching 15 more commercials. The system is supposed to have a section that lists "recently watched shows" but that too seems inconsistent. Sometimes the shows you watched show there and sometimes they don't. I've now spent about an hour searching for the show I was watching. I have given up. I will also give up on Sling and find another media venue. The pics are not great examples cause the inconsistency is minor but it is indicative of the entire system. There's no way to predict what a click of the remote will do in terms of your viewing. I'm sure it is related to what field you are in but because there are no manuals or directions and because it is not intuuitive, there is no way to tell where you are many times without clicking, etc. Too frustrating to deal with.
Click on the free sling they wanted a credit card. Then they charge me the $30.00 plus a 13.4% tax charge for the state of Fl. Fl state sales is only 6.25% this a over charge from the sling co, also Fl does not have a State Tax.
I cancelled Showtime a few days after I subscribed to it. I checked my bank statement in May and saw that I continued to be charged. They will not refund or issue credit for my over payment. Customer service hides behind policy. Numan was the last customer service supervisor that I spoke with.
Signed up for a 14-day free preview. Got billed $30 and they wouldn't refund it, when after 2 days, I decided it wasn't for me as it they want nearly twice as much to include local channels - and that wasn't all local channels, just 2. I signed up using my TV to do so, and was told if you do that, no free preview. I should have gone to the website. None of that was mentioned at any point. Only reason it got 2 stars is because it was pretty easy to sign up and to reach an agent via chat. Not that the agent was of any use.
My husband and I chose sling over three years ago and were very satisfied with the service and pricing. Although, each year they increased the pricing by $10.00 we continued with the service because at the time they were still the best option. However, for the past 6 months or so we have been experiencing major buffering and other errors that sling refuses to take accountability for. Not to mention we are currently pay twice as much as we were paying when we first chose the service. We are at our wits end with having to restart a show/movie every three to five minutes. When restarting many times yo do not have the option to continue where you left off but have to start from the beginning. If you are privileged to see 30 to 40 minutes of the episode behold there comes the buffering and you have to restart from the beginning. HORRIBLE! Sling if you fail to resolve these errors and we have to continue paying over $67 monthly under these stressful conditions we will be forced to go with another provider. There is another provider out there and they offer channels that you all refuse to offer. PHILO will be getting our business.
I've had sling for a year now and I'm anything but happy. Today was a normal day of constantly kicking me out and making me go though the hoops to continue to watch what I had been watching. I'm finally ready to expose this ap as the sham that it is. Unfortunately I'm not capable of of choosing a more reliable way to stream TV. If I could afford to have a more reliable I would do it in a flash. If you can afford it choose cable.
After many calls and lots of research and questions my husband and I signed up for sling. I asked the woman specifically about local channels and I was told that for an extra hundred dollars I could buy an air tv2 and an antennae and I would receive all of my local channels. We waited 5 days got it and then NOTHING. No extra channels. Called sling after speaking to 5 different people we got Danika the Global Expert, not kidding thats her title, on the phone. We explained the situation and asked if we could return the antennae and she said no. Period. End of story. And apparently she does not have a boss. The buck stopped with her. So I asked her what should we do with this equipment your people had us buy that is useless. She said I understand your frustration but I cant help you. Think long and hard before you let them rip you off too.
My router is right beside the tv and sling still lags, buffers and goes to a black screen, stops and anything else you can think of. I DON'T recommend SLING until they fix the problems. I'm almost ready to go back to Xfinity (Which I Hate) because the Sling service is so bad. I have a ROKU and all the other apps work perfectly, so it's gotta be Sling.
I'm receiving Sling tv as a free trial offer and I'm STILL outraged by its poor quality! Tried to watch one episode of Big Bang Theory and it kicked me off (went black) no less than 6 times. This has been an on/off again pattern throughout the few weeks I've had it. It's NOT the TV or other apps... they all work great.
Will I subscribe after the trial ends? Yes, when I'm crowned Queen of England.
Need a regional channel for sports... It was listed in media info but not offered after i signed up. They said "yea but we're negotiating with them".
And I did a pre-pay offer and they won't let me out. Never again Sling. Can't wait to get out.
Consistently drops real time sports channels. No other internet channel at home has this problem, not Netflix, not Amazon, not Youtube, not Hulu. I just missed the last 5 minutes of the CF playoffs, a common occurrence but that's the last straw I am done. I have now cancelled my service. Zero customer support, 'customer chat' was a bot that did not even understand my issue.
Learn from my experience - sling is a ripoff.
Zero customer care. Their support team is so aggressive that they will curse you on call as well. They simply dont care if you being their loyal customer or not. I like their international channel service but there customer care ppl are worst.
Answer: They are rip offs fir real. I think everyone shpikd ban together gor a class action suit.
Answer: Go with your gut on this one. Click away from Sling
Answer: Don't even waste your time on sling. Don't know where you live, but there are so many more options today than there was say 5-10 years ago. Look around.
Answer: The ROKU rocks! Just avoid SLING TV at all costs. When they rip people off the FCC will not make them give you the money they owe you. The FCC just says We received your complaint and you should be hearing from SLING. What a joke! I am out $50.00, because SLING told me they were only taking major credit cards or the SLING cards. I purchased 2 $25.00 SLING cards to pay my $40.00 bill. The cards only come in $25.00 amounts. It would not take them. I called and called and got different CS agents. The cards would not go through. I got all kinds of reasons the cards were not working. I finally dropped SLING and went back to Spectrum. Something I vowed to never do. The day I called SLING to tell them I no longer wanted their service, and to tell them why I was unhappy the CS agent told me that the cards only work on the bill due date. Blah blah blah. I dontt know what happened with SLING. The service was great for a long time. Then they went to those stupid cards that would not work.
