I have a suggestion for Similar Worlds: How about allowing posters to lock their posts from comments?
Some posters are abusive, and this would allow their targets to stop them.
Great way to meet people and interact anonymously. It's easily the best successor to the Experience Project that I've found so far. I only wish it had a mobile app the way EP did.
If you are looking for people who may have answers and wisdom that you are seeking, give this site a try. You will also find people just like you... and people like me.
A fun place to just have fun and meet some good people... and although they have a few troublemakers like every social forum out there, they have an A+ moderators who act swiftly when trouble arises
This is a great website to meet people. There is so much fun ideas and discussions that are shared by members. The managing team are doing a great job in keeping the site safe and friendly.
In SW, i find peace, it is my favorite corner in the internet. There, i can share my ideas with people have the same interests, i can ask questions and get instant answers, i really love this website
I've had fun here but it's now a dead website, find somewhere else.
It's always been semi toxic now it's boring as well
You're only free to express there if you are a leftist. It's a crybaby woke site filled with child molesters and LGBTQ.
Trolls, underage kids, tons of fake accounts, pervs, pedos, narcissists, scammers, feminazis, racists, people who act like teenagers in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s, depressed people who want to kill themselves... you approach this site with a positive attitude, leave feeling angry, offended and disturbed. Spend a month on it, you will become bitter and unfriendly towards others online and offline as well. If this sounds like something you fancy, join today
I used to be a member of EP and I remember it as a place to vent and be yourself (kinks, fetishes, whatever you wanted to post about really). It's become a watered down site full of crybaby whiners who get offended easily and judge others for what they're into. There's a gang of women (and some whimpering simps as well) that mass report you and have you banned if they don't like you or find what they deem "offensive". They'll gang up on you and all their little friends will follow suit until you either leave or are banned from the site. If you want a place where idiots post selfies constantly, political posts run rampant, there are hundreds of simps kissing $#*!, women posting pics of cats and coffee or cry about their past abuse and you have people there offering fake love and support, can't post anything on your mind or that you're into even if it's mildly taboo or you'll get attacked by the gang of condescending women who'll have white knight idiots run to their defense, you're pretty much stuck having to be a kiss $#*!, a boring $#*! who posts about music, food, or how cute puppies are, yeah that place is for boring basic people with no concept of true individuality. You won't fit in unless (as I stated before) you kiss the more popular users asses. If you don't you'll be bullied and admin won't do anything about it. If you defend yourself you'll get banned. Save yourself the aggravation and find a place with more open minded people, not that boring super restricted $#*!hole those stuck up, uptight women made it
At least they have actual moderators that moderate, there are weirdos here but there are weirdos everywhere you turn on the net, at least you can block them here. Alot of great, fun people
It's easy to express yourself on SW and receive supportive feedback. I was a member of Experience Project before it shut down and I have enjoyed SW as it's replacement.
Informal, friendly banter. There lots of different topics to discuss.
No matter where you live around the globe. You can join in day or night.
Most men are into sexual talk, rude language from the majority including women. No way to be protected from insults and wrong doings...
I enjoy interacting with others on this site. You get to meet and chat with lots of friendly people who share similar ideas as you do.
Continuous, relevant updates that, in my opinion, improve the site and streamline purposes.
Features encourage friendliness and understanding.
I think similar worlds is great to learn about others and share things that are inspiring to us. I like reading all the stories.
While slightly offensive nonsense is tolerated the moderators on SW permit the free exercise of opinions and they never impose their authority on participants who maintain reasonable positions. The board is widely versatile and is very well maintained. The negative reviews I've been reading are assuredly written by left-wingers who cannot tolerate the level of freedom of expression permitted by SW Administrators.
I'm a member of multiple discussion/politics forums including World Discussion Forum and Historum.com (both of which are excellent), and I've been ousted from one Christian Politics forum and one World Politics Forum, but as of yet have not been banned from Similar Worlds (SW) as "MyParentsAreProud" (though I have received a few warnings --- but hey who hasn't on the anarchistic World Wide Web?). It really has something... for everyone. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for multi-faceted pedestrian/professional perspectives on all kinds of modern issues relevant to American society and global culture (commerce, celebrity, culinary arts, whatever).
The only drawback is that the opinions are strong, so be prepared to be shunned and/or criticized shrewdly about the intentions/intelligibility of your comments by Neo Leftists.
SW deserves some kudos/honors for those responsible for organizing/coordinating/choreographing it. There's even fun sections for those looking to blither and offer gibberish about why Trump is not Jesus.
My first review was on another site. And the owners of Similar Worlds flagged it, for "violating" the guidelines of that review site. Which is nonsense. I stated nothing but facts as to what they did. They're just mad because I wouldn't delete it. Why would I delete my review when it's TRUE? There were reviews much worse than mine on that site, but they flagged mine. Hmmmm. And I hope the owners of that particular review site are not being paid off to hide and/or remove reviews. Because then they would be breaking their own rules.
The Similar Worlds admins accused me of "creating multiple accounts", "violating terms of service", and "defaming" them.
Now I don't know who they've dealt with before, but I refuse to be silenced because they're tying me to something I have nothing to do with. And because of that, I will be reaching out to more people to find out what's really going on.
UPDATE: I wake up to an email from Trustpilot, telling me they've removed my review because they found it to be "suspicious". As you can see in the picture provided below. Smh. At this point, I'm encouraging EVERYONE to speak up about the negativity they've experienced on Trustpilot. Write as much negative reviews as possible. Because by the looks of it, the admins seem to be hellbent on keeping a "great" rating over there. All of that needs to change. THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN DOWN ONCE AND FOR ALL!
Answer: They will never address it! They condone it! This site needs to be shut down as it is causing depression among its users. The cyber bullying that takes place on this site is unacceptable.
