Wouldn't recommend this company. I bought the $40 cookies n cream candle. It took 3 weeks to arrive (which was expected) but because of the price and shipping time, I expected more and was disappointed in the candle. I had it lit for less than 10 minutes before two wicks burnt out and could not be lit again, and it had no smell besides wax which was bad. I was offered a replacement, but after this I just preferred a refund. In order to get a refund I have to ship it back. I tried leaving a review on the website, but any review that isn't five stars isn't posted on the site. Which was proven when I was blocked on Instagram for asking about the product reviews. Wish I would've seen real reviews before ordering.
Orders take forever to arrive & emails to the company continue to go unresponded to! I value my hard earned dollars & would like the products that I have paid for. Very poor customer service, many people have said this, & they will delete your comments about their poor service from their social media sites, instead of responding to them. Would not recommend this company & never will use them again!
If 1-2 weeks wait time is too extended for you please do not order. Our products are handmade to order and in order to keep the quality at the level we demand from ourselves we do not rush production. Comments on social channels that contain either foul harassing language or private information about your orders are deleted to protect your privacy, yes.
The scents of items I've bought aren't strong. That's okay. I now like their items for the art. I use the candle as a bookmark and the Shea butter during the winter.
Be patient and support Black business.

As you can see, this company STILL has not learned from their mistakes! It's May of 2023, wayyy past the pandemic and they are still scamming their customers. I wish I would've done more research beforehand. I always love supporting fellow black business owners, so I am highly disappointed. I placed a order 4/3/23, my first order with them btw and it is now 5/3/23 and my package was never delivered. I sent them a email and they sent me a tracking number and that still, TIL THIS DAY, says "Ready to Ship: Pre-shipment info sent USPS awaits item." I sent another email the following week of the week they swore my package would be delivered by, and I've received no response back from them. On their socials they are posting their new renovations and new businesses promotions (more than likely with the money they've used to scam so many others). This company will more than likely be asking for ANOTHER gofundme in the near future. I'm making sure that NOONE does business with this company, ever again!

I Understand why Shipping was super bad during the Pandemic. It's two years later and nothing but excuses. On the website it says that shipping may take four weeks. More than a month later almost two months now And still no product that I paid for. I don't really understand why they decide to constantly have sales or free shipping. When you obviously cannot keep up with orders already. I like the products specifically the butters. The spray is mediocre. If you're under staffed After these three years i'm not understanding why you don't hire more people. You can't even keep your word on your website.
I wasnt sure at first if i would like this product, but i have fallen in love! It smells wonderful and my skin couldnt be more silky smooth! Best product yet! Cant wait to try more!

I am updating this review to 5 stars cause I decided to give the company a second and third chance. I placed an order for black soap and it arrived within a week then I placed an order for some sample Shea butters. Just small orders to see how things would go and so far so good. Nothing compared to my first order experience I had with them. My Shea butters were purchased on 1/03 and they arrived 1/17 with a lollipop and each butter was wrapped tightly and sealed and filled to the top. They have earned my trust as a customer again and I look forward to doing more business cause their Shea butters smell soooooo good

I purchased a vanilla cupcake Shea butter on 2/17/19 and today is 3/6/2019. I've had nothing but limited responses from this company (sheamakery.com) and I've tried reaching out to them numerous times. They claimed they shipped my product to usps on 2/23 but I checked with usps and they said they never received any items from Shea makery. They only created a label to make it seem like they were sending out a package. So I reached out to Shea makery and they told me usps made a mistake and probably lost the package so they would have to file a claim. They also asked me if I wanted a refund and I haven't heard anything else from them since and it's been 4 days. I would never purchase anything from this site or store ever again! I made several purchases from different stores on the same day and received all of them within the same week! They are a rip off so save your money and time! I did more research online and found that they've done this same scam to numerous people! They delete all of your comments and ignore you.
Shea Shea Bakery is amazing. I've ordered their products consistently for years and have always received my orders in a timely manner. Their products are beautiful and unique and I'm never disappointed with what I get. This company goes above and beyond for their customers, making sure that the labeling, packaging, and product quality is high.

When I received my package I couldn't believe how amazing the products looked. All handmade! Talk about super cute and creative! I had to wait about 2 weeks which was actually a pretty good time to wait especially since they do everything by hand. I know where I'll be ordering for the holidays this season and next. This company is awesome! I saw them on Good Morning America and wa captivated by the little donut top they had for 50% off so had to get it. It arrived a week later and I fell in LOVE! Since then I've purchased a few candles and soaps and the quality is absolutely amazing. I've told everyone I know about them lol definitely coming back for more, actually on the site browsing now haha!
I was looking to get a shea body butter to replace one I couldn't get anymore and found this site. I saw they had samples, but they were out of stock. I emailed about it and was told the samples would be back in stock in a few months. I waited, since this seemed too pricey to gamble on. And waited. And waited. And then it turned out they were not getting samples back in stock? Which makes literally NO sense, but whatever. In my back and forth emails about the samples, I was given a discount code so I thought I would just take a leap of faith and buy the product since the reviews were so good. 1 1/2 months later, the product arrived. And it smelled great. I was excited to use it. And when I did... OMG! It was AWFUL! Just out of the shower feeling clean, I put the body butter on my skin and it just SAT there. I felt SLIMEY. I was so upset! I didn't want to put clothes on and have them ruined by the body butter, so I put on a robe I don't like and was hoping the butter would sink into my skin eventually. It did not. I ended up wiping off as much as I could with a towel, and even then I felt sticky and disgusting. Suffice it to say that I'm still a little bitter about it, lol. And what's with the 1 1/2 months to get it? Close as I can figure, their products are made by 1 tiny elf who works from 2-3 AM on Tuesdays only. Cuz, seriously, there's no excuse for that.
I opened a dispute with Paypal in which they advised by email my refund would be administered to my account for my order (it has). Prior to that I posted a Facebook message to the company's page about my order and was advised that it's not expected I would have understanding for what goes on behind the scenes when it comes to shipping and I was reassured again and again my order was already with USPS (it wasn't). I was told I'd be given an email advising of my refund on the way (I never did from them but did from Paypal) and I was told if the package is en route where they can't get it back (it was never sent out to begin with) I could keep it. This was a feeble attempt to save face after I posted my comment. They did not send the package, just sent me shipping confirmation with a shipping label id to tide me over until they did or didn't feel like sending it. Still would not recommend business, as I will not be a returning customer either.

We do not have any control over USPS or the time which our delivery truck driver reaches the post office. I purchased a small order from Shea Shea Bakery on 04/05/18. I didn't want to make a purchase too large for my first time order in case of it being a scam site. I did not receive any shipping confirmation until 04/10/18 and it was only after I messaged their customer service inquiring when I would receive it. I waited 48 hours upon getting my tracking information for USPS to update but it remained to read that the package/items had not yet been received by USPS. I messaged Shea Bakery in the early am hours of 04/13/18 letting them know if my items have not yet been sent, I'd like to cancel and request a refund. I was advised by the company that they would first have to get their parcel back and then they would give me a refund. I wrote back advising them if it's already in the hands of USPS I will simply wait and disregard the email. With them stating they would have to get their package 'back' I assumed it meant it was on the way to the postal service.
When I saw no movement with my tracking by late afternoon, out of curiousity I contacted USPS and was advised they still have not gotten any parcel/items from the company to be sent to my address. Learning of this, I opened a dispute with PayPal who advised to try and handle the situation with the company directly and if not response then I may open a claim from now until May 4th. I got no response to my posts on their ig page and no response to my direct message nor to my PayPal request for a refund. I do not know why this company selected to hold on to my small amount of money but I still paid for product just like any other customer and it was never sent to me. I ordered from 6 other various companies the same day of my order with this company and have already gotten all my items. This is why I am wary of shopping with new vendors, especially those who market mostly via social media. This was crappy business and I doubt I will receive my items or even my refund, but I will not shop here again and recommend others do not do so as well. I was tossed a shipping label created tracking id to satisfy me while the seller had no intent on ever sending my product. Buyer beware.
I placed an order in April. It's now July, three months later, and I still have not received tracking information, my order, or any communication from the company. I am completely understanding that there is a pandemic and it may take longer. I have been very patient and understanding of this. I know the company is struggling and there should definitely be some compassion for that. I donated to their Gofundme and agreed to wait for my order. But, it's now been three months and absolutely nothing. I tried to reach out to their customer service through email and it looks like they literally deleted their email address. The emails don't even deliver. I also tried reaching out through Messenger, nothing. I tried contacting them through their social media, Instagram, through comments and direct message, nothing. There is zero communication and it's literally beginning to feel like I got scammed. I'm out about $70 on an order that I doubt I'm ever going to receive. I just want my money back at this point.
It's really disappointing because I'm a repeat customer and I actually really liked their products. I truly believed in the company and as I said before, donated to their Gofundme and was hopeful they'd get back on their feet. But at this point, the lack of communication is unacceptable. I think it's completely unprofessional for them to straight up delete their customer service email. There is literally no way to contact them. I have tried. It just seems inexcusable at this point. Even if/when they relaunch, I will not be returning. They don't seem to respect their customers enough to keep an open line of communication. It's been three months. I should have received my order by now, and if not, issued a refund. I have gotten neither. It's extremely disappointing and irresponsible. I want my money back. I do not recommend this company anymore.
I do not recommend this company or there products! I ordered the strawberry cheesecake body creme and a Sunday brunch candle on 2/27/21. I am just now getting my order on 5/14/21. The strawberry cheese cake doesn't even smell like strawberry's. It's more of a watermelon kiwi fruity scent. I will admit the Sunday brunch candle smells amazing but I think 25 dollars for such a small candle is a bit overpriced. Their marketing team is on point! They make everything look amazing but in reality it's a bit of a $#*! show. I've been eyeing this company for a while and just to receive my packages with utter disappointment in my opinion is unacceptable. They are also trying to blame everything on COVID which I find disgusting. We have been in this pandemic for over a year and everyone has been learning how to live with it. Then to go and ask loyal supporters and customers for a hand out when you haven't even shipped out orders is terrible. I will never be ordering from here again they have terrible customer service and the products are not worth it. I emailed them about my order two separated time and only one of the emails were answered. Not to mention the disgusting way they treat those who are unhappy with their orders or the company. They delete almost every bad review that's why a lot of people think so highly of this company. When they shut down I hope they shut down for good! *

Where is my refund. I have emailed several times with no response. I recieved an email saying the refund was issued but that was a lie.
I ordered from a huge sale on March 19,2021. Everything was $5. They were already in the midst of their business failing and had the nerve to do a huge sale then launch a go fund me begging for $100,000. I e-mailed multiple times asking where was my order, because the turn around time was 4-6 weeks. They had well exceeded that time and blamed everything instead of taking responsibility. They blamed Covid (we've been in this pandemic over a year), losing staff (went from 42 to 7), broken machinery, USPS skipping their warehouse and not picking up packages, a staff person dying... you name it they blamed it. They stopped responding to all forms of communication. I filed a complaint with my bank in order to get my money back and they completed their investigation and issued it. This company should be put out of business for all of the fraud they have committed. They delete reviews on IG, don't allow reviews on their Facebook, then lie and say the majority of their reviews are good. Well, BBB doesn't lie and other reviews on other blogs say otherwise. Today is July 12,2021 and I have no e-mail acknowledgement of anything.

I made my order of four (4) items on January 25th, 2023. I almost forgot that I even ordered from this place because they never sent me a shipping confirmation. At this time for me, it was February 9th. I emailed them that same day...No response. I emailed them again on February 12th...No response. Then on February 14th when I received a shipping confirmation from this place saying my order was shipped. No apologies, explanation or anything.
And this is 2023, I guess you can say we are still in this "pandemic", which was an excuse I seen a person (who most likely work or is affiliated with this company) put on here, but this is no excuse. We don't even have to wear masks anymore - It's been this way for the longest, so miss me with that. The "pandemic" isn't even as bad as how it was in the very beginning to where you are shipping packages almost a full month (a week and 4 days before a month) without ANY EXPLANATION. And this must be true because they just saw my two emails and was like "Oh, yeah, I have to ship this customer's package", so that's simply bad business management, a horrible way to run a business. No accountability or explanation for why the place I decided to patronize and support, and spend my hard earned money to buy their products, didn't ship my order until I had to remind them that they got paid for products almost a month ago that I didn't receive...GHETTO! They knew they didn't have a reason, just unprofessional and lazy.
I don't have a picture of the products because as of today, February 14th, 2023, I still haven't received my order. It was just sent today and I still have to wait 5-7 business days to actually receive my package - for it to be delivered to my home.

Answer: I love this company! Not sure why some people claim they never received anything. I've been buying for 5 years and never had a problem. My 16 year old suffered from severe acne and the clearing kit healed her almost completely in just 13 days. Will keep supporting, love you guys!
