Very satisfied by the final result, a lot of material options and all staff is helpful. I was surprised though with the new price polishy this year. 3dprinting it was always an expensive sport but now for myself as an artist although it felt I could jump up to larger scale prints I have to come back to small scale and safety. I guess the previous model wasn't sustainable for you so I hope one day soon it will become.
I bought 2 window shade brackets. They wouldn't hold the shade in place because the length of the clip was too short. The company said it wasn't their fault and that I should address the problem with the designer. They offered no help whatsoever. They just kept telling me it was a design problem.
I bought these parts right from the company website. They are shown as Shade Bracket 304 Louver drape Kirsch Levolor. Anyone purchasing these items would assume that they are going to get a bracket that fits the Kirsch Levolor manufactured shade. They don't. After multiple requests for help I finally realized I was never going to get support and I spent a couple hours on the parts filing down the clips so that the shades would snap into the brackets. The 2 parts cost me $62.10 so I took great care. I needed the parts.
If I'm purchasing a part # 304 Shade Bracket from the company that's what I should receive. Would they sell a 1/4 - 20 bolt that was out of spec?
I would tread lightly before using this company. Don't assume that you are going to receive the part that you think you are buying. And don't expect that you will receive any kind of customer support after the sale.
This was my first purchase of any 3D printed parts, I am very pleased with the results and the quality of the models received is very good, I am genuinely surprised that such a complicated model can be produced by these methods, as an experienced modeller the ordered models would have taken me many hours to build, well done Shapeways

I look forward to many more purchases in the future! I've bought four 1:87 scale racer models but unfortunately cannot send a proof of purchase photo because I don't have a web cam.
I was really impressed by the quality of the service, the final product is sharp. Also I really like the way the website is designed, I can know in one clic the options and prices for the print of my design. Very cool. Thank you very much.
I ordered a clip for my kitchen cabinet wherein it stated on the website that it was made specifically for the type of cabinet I have due to Merillat discontinuing the product.
I ordered two of them, they do not work, I asked to return the product for a refund, and they do not refund on purchased items.
Beware, if you are not sure is what you need, don't buy it, they do not refund monies on purchased items.
I have got many models printed with them and I loved the price, speed Since the new CEO has increased the price by 400% for my models, I must find a new provider. For that price you get better quality anywhere else.
These folks talk a good game... but... I made a bracelet for my wife and it arrived broken... customer service was pleasant but no help... use at your own risk...
I've been modeling jewelry for shapeways for 4.5 years now. And I think its Ok. Yeah, I have dealt with the change of minimum requirements, printing failures, price changes etc. All my designs are on shapeways, I sell like 3 models per year on the platform, but I see shapeways as a tool for my business, and also as a business of their own. Their guidelines are good, they have always delivered quality, solved my issues etc. As a business they have to make a profit to continue working and the best way to have profits is to not produce what they belive cannot be done.
Lately I've been producing and selling my pieces localy because for me its cheaper, but Shapeways continues to have all my catalog because its free and only represents a small part of my business.
I absolutely recommend this service for the most professional level of printed products anywhere. Quick story: I had trouble with some designs that I picked up from Thingyverse because I had them resized to a smaller scale. They did in fact point out that a number of areas would be extremely thin to print and gave me a choice to print it anyways OR to resend it in after editing the models myself. Problem is that I don't work with 3D modeling and it would take me forever to figure out how to fix it all. I emailed their customer service about it and the kind folk at Shapeways made an exception for me and fixed up all the designs for me. Such great people. Emails were all sent back and forth within a day; very satisfied with their support team. Thank you again!
I'm not a fan of their hybrid UPS/USPS shipping option but I have always found they quality of their prints to be top notch. I've printed in different materials and have never been disappointed in the quality.
Shapeways is a great 3D printing marketplace. You can find the latest neat, unique items for sale here. Maybe one day it will be like Amazon but with all 3D printed things!
I use shapeways to sell models, and I'm over all pretty satisfied with my experience. Theres always room for improvement, but for the average shopper it is very well done.
It is good for cheap low quality prototyping, but it takes what feels like forever to get your pieces and they always say they are back ordered. Also, poor customer support.
Printed my first jewelry piece using Shapeways and was thrilled with the quality. I did not experience any issues as some other reviewers did here. I would use them again.
The quality of the orders is generally great. If something goes wrong, they have a very friendly and patient customer service that usually resolves the problem. Definitely recommended!

Poor customer support, no matter how many emails I sent. Of course, they don't list a phone number. I have lost money and customers. Poor quality material, flexible material was brittle and broke.
My experience with Shapeways has been really great all along. This is a great company. I would recommend them to anyone. Really appreciated their services and supports.
Yes I agree, it sometimes takes for ever to get an item processed.
They give you this very far-off date for their scheduled shipping and then go as fast ot as slow as they want.
Just be aware.
