They say that there is a 60 day period where you can return purchased items and then when try to return something they say that it's not returnable
They told me that I should have read the really fine print. As a disabled veteran it's really hard to know who to trust
Received this as a present from my daughter. When I got it initially it wouldn't come on as I thought maybe I'm doing something wrong, but finally it came on and I began to use it. I noticed it skipped some stitches, but again I thought it was me. So I started to do embroidery and there was one thing after another. Called the company the company referred me to a brother dealer that was of no help it was still in warranty this was only a month later. Talked with several people and even spoke with the guy who repairs Chris he was a butt hole thought he knew it all. Tried to explain to him that there's something wrong I've been sewing since I was 16 and I know it shouldn't be doing these this. Put in and embroidery design that was in the machine itself and it kept saying malfunction and would cut off. Finally got to speak with the manger she was nice and asked what size jumpdrive I was using told her 8 she said maybe it's too big and sent me a 2 but I told her I really don't think this is the problem. But I tried it anyway to no avail it didn't. Spoke with her again and she just sent me a brand new SE1900. I was truly impressed with the kindness and attention to the problem I was having. I will definitely buy from them again and recommend them A+ customer service always ask for the manager.
I have their in house brand longarm quilting machine the King Quilter Elite II Second Edition. The electronics on the king quilter are inferior, unreliable and fails with frequent regularity. Right now I have two sets of electronics laid out over my studio
And a useless longarm. That's what I've had for all but about 8 months of owning this machine for two and half years. The bosses hide from all customer contact which screams "this business is not to be trusted." I cannot sell this useless longarm as it is, I cannot trade it because it is an unknown brand and there are too many reports of the electronics failing and the company being inept at supplying reliable electronics.
I'm filing formal complaints because the owner, the president "bosses" of SMP are
Hiding out avoiding being confronted with selling a longarm that is not ready for the market with the electronics they are using.
I received my new Juki with needle positioner two days of ago, because I had to work, today was the first chance I had to set it up. Took me about 60 minutes- but I work in Maintenance, so you might want to double that if you're not used to using tools. I haven't used a swing machine in in about 10 years but it didn't take long for it to come back. This thing sew like a dream. Thanks to Eric for recommending the needle in positioner. It's really great. Everything was set up I just loaded my thread tied it to the piece left in the machine, pulled it through and took off sewing. Can't wait to to take on some projects.
UPDATE to prior review... I spoke with the customer service Manager - after explaining all that occurred and problems with the machine, the company has agreed to replace the defective unit.
When replacement arrives, if machine works I will change rating.
Purchased a brand new Allegro Sewing machine as part of a "package special" only to find out a week later that it was the standard discounted price. Machine has not worked, right out of the box. Took 4 phone calls, and several emails with photographs, only to have the technician tell me that "every lady who calls in thinks they know everything!" I never said I know everything, just that I have been sewing on babylock machines for over 20 years and knew that this issue was not normal.
Rude, horrible customer service. On top of a $1300 + machine that I have to ship back, and wait "maybe 3 weeks until they have time to get to it...". My 4th babylock purchase, and this is my LAST! What a flipping waist of time and hard earned money.
I saw a dress form that seemed too good to be true so I messaged to find out what's the catch. Representative claimed there is nothing wrong with the dress form it is a great dress form. I instantly ordered right after that I immediately got an email saying my dress form was on back order I called to cancel they said we never charged I told them the charge has come out of my bank they said it was just a hold being that it's not available and it's on back order your money will be refunded in seven days I told them to cancel and they said OK. Here it is seven days later and my money is still not in my account I called them and they said it was not canceled. So they canceled it today let's see if I get my money back.
I purchased the Butler robotics system for my King Quilter II Elite longarm machine. The Butler robotics was easy to attach to the frame. I made a video of the installation and uploaded it to YouTube so others could find help. I bought the Deluxe version of the Butler. Once I had it installed, I used YouTube videos to learn how to use the system. I am pleased with the robotics. I've stitched close to 50 quilts on it since I installed it and have had no trouble whatsoever.
I bought my King Quilter II Elite 9 months ago and have had excellent service from SMP. I had a problem with the handle bars and they sent a replacement without waiting for me to send the old ones back. Their service department is outstanding, in my opinion. I've been so impressed with the company I started a facebook group for owners of the machine. The machine itself runs beautifully, I've quilted 1.8 million stitches on it so far and have had beautiful stitching on each quilt.
(Update: March 14,2023 I am still very satisfied with SMP. My machine now has 9 million stitches on it and I've had excellent stitching the entire time. I haven't needed service in almost 2 years, but if I do I know I'll get good care from them.)
Placed an order over Thanksgiving weekend, we're in Christmas week and the product hasn't even shipped yet. When I call, they blame it on the manufacturer and hide behind being a 'drop shipper'. The product description didn't say anything about an extended delay or that it would be ordered from the manufacturer. I won't order from them again.
I spent over 700.00 on a new machine. I noticed it didn't run smooth and was making noises. The tension was messed up and when I tried to adjust it I noticed there was fabric like fuss down in the bobbin area. Clearly they sent me a used machine someone had returned. When I called and tried to return it after only having it 4 days, they told me I had to pay a 20% restocking fee. They put you in their call que and don't call you back. Don't fall for this company they are dishonest.
Management at sewing machines plus at mission bay San Diego is either uneducated or trying to pull the Ole switcheroo and say that the king quilter [[ standard is the same as the king quilter [[ elite except for rear handlebars and was argumentative when I notified her that I was shipped the standard machine I will update my review if this problem is resolved promptly and properly as of now I dissatisfied.
This company will not give me my money back for 2 items I purchased as a result of their faulty product listings at their website. These were accessory products that ended up not being compatible with a Scan & Cut machine I purchased from another vendor, but SewingMachinesPlus had them listed as compatible. I have been writing them for months trying to get my money back, and that is after they put me through the wringer calling one of their tech workers that knew absolutely nothing about the issues I was having - and he did not know it was an issue of the purchased products being compatible with my Scan & Cut machine version. Then SewingMachinesPlus told me their product vendor said I should call Brother (manufacturer of the products) direct to troubleshoot the issue. The Brother rep (who was great) told me they were incompatible with my machine and told me I needed to pursue the return through SewingMachinesPlus - which I pretty much assumed would be the response to begin with. Most recently, instead of sending me back my money they sent me ONE OF THE TWO INCOMPATIBLE PRODUCTS I sent back to them. Their staffers did manage to send me a return label for that, but apparently they don't have plans to refund me the money for the 2 products I returned. Within all the chaos, one of their reps quoted a return amount that didn't add up to the price I paid for the products I purchased and sent back. I had used a discount coupon that gave me 10% off - so factoring in that (I did not factor that in initially), one item should have been $22.49 and the other should have been $17.99, and the manager quoted $12.59 and $17.99. I have yet to see any refund activity, so it doesn't much matter they got the amounts wrong. What's really unbelievable is they have a Shopperapproved review rating of 4.7 - apparently Shopperapproved is a review mechanism businesses pay into for false ratings. I see no place where I can review my own experience with SewingMachinesPlus via the Shopperapproved site. DO NOT do business with this company, you will regret it, they are absolutely incompetent. They can't even add up two numbers on a calculator. Their prices are not mind blowing, you can find the same products for the same costs via other stores. I had never heard of them when I ordered so I didn't know what I know now.
Please experience this company for yourself. I can't speak for anybody else however I am sooooo happy with my purchase. There customer service was professional. I was not place on a prolong hold with any of my concerns. My machine was up and running with no problems in a few hours. Thank you Sewing Machine Plus. I would purchase from you again.
I purchased my 1181 from Sewing Machines Plus who told me I had an option of the adjustable height table with my saying I am only 5'1". This is the lowest it can be lowered (which is three inches higher than my standard sewing tables). I have been through so many phone calls with them to no avail. I have tried a higher chair which makes me have to sit on edge of chair, then eventually it rolls out from under me and I fall. At 72 yo I do not need the falls. Service guys have been NO help and one was rude. I have sewn on it a few times but between the fall and my degenerative disc disease I cannot use this awesome machine.
Also it took 3 weeks of repeated phone calls to learn they did not know what my Servo motor error code meant. When a general sewing machine repairman in our area knew exactly what it meant.
These people are rude as hell! I placed an order and have been given several different dates for delivery. They take your money and don't follow threw. I ordered a insert for my sewing machine and was never told that it would take 6-8 weeks to sent. I was sent an order number. But nothing about the delivery or anything. I called and they still tryed to give me crap. The rude $#*! I spoke with hung up on me. DONT PURCHASE from these people! There scammer's
I ordered the Dime magnetic hoop over 2 weeks ago and still nothing has shipped to me. It stated that expedited shipping was not available because it ships from another location but 2 weeks is a bit ridiculous. My last 2 emails to them have not been returned. I will update this review when I receive my product
I bought an overpriced Sewist 725s & was led to believe return was easy. Machine was loud & cheap for price. Called to get return info - 20% restock fee plus shipping & handling PLUS at their discretion may be another 20% or more. I will keep machine BUT WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!
Have no receipt just email with shipping info so unable to leave picture
I paid $399 on 5/1/21 for Janome Sewist 725s
When searching for a new serger, I really wanted to make sure I had the opportunity to learn about all its features. I was told by the salespeople online that they offered classes. That sealed the deal for me. I signed up for the first class I could. The day after signing up, I was told that because I bought online, I could not attend this ZOOM class. They referred me to UTube for help. Seriously? I am returning the machine even though they charge a 20% RESTOCKING FEE! Do no buy a machine online from this company.
If you do return items purchased from this vendor please note that there is no Free 60 refunds. If you return a machine you still must pay shipping and in my case that was $112 through FedEx (which they recommend)
Also, if you opened the item they will charge you 20% restocking fee (in my case $300).
They do not tell you any of this on packing lists or invoices or receipts. You have to ask.
If product you ordered is defective they will give you a full credit towards another product (in my case I wanted aserger that does the WAVE stitch, which turns out to only come on a high end babylock serger, and of course they can only sell this to you in person due to contract with babylock). I live in Georgia and this online company is located in California.
So my suggestion is to find a reliable LOCAL sewing machine dealer and talk before you purchase.
I placed and order, had issues with payment options. Nicole called and left a message about the issue. I returned the call multiple times and never got a return call. Finally got a chat agent to get a manager to call me. She was rude, thought she knew my issues and when I questioned integrity, got the answer, "not all reviews are accurate". I would steer clear. Purchase from someone who cares about your business.
I order a sewing machine and I had trouble with it. The machine was acting up. I called customer service, they said they'll transferred me to tech. Tech was very impatient and rude. Then I called customer service the next day want to returned it. Not heard... I've send them email few times. Still no heard. So I'm stuck with the machine that I've lost 800 dollars!
But I've learned my lesson is never order online. The best thing is to order nearby your area. So be careful what you order from them. You may not able to returned it and you will lose your money. It's not worth it!
Answer: I have tried every medium to get ahold of these people with no luck at all.
Answer: Absolutely NOT. No successes here. I won't be shopping with them in the future.
