I cant say ive been all that impressed by SeniorsMeet. Its got a good reputation and theres clearly a lot of money behind it, with ads in newspapers, TV and radio, but maybe they should use that money to bring the price down a bit. Far too much in my opinion. Why dont they bring out a good free site like tinder but for the older generation? Not all of us over fifties are rich, you know? Ive read here that primetimelove.com is a good alternative so will probably give that a try next, hopefully it wont be as expensive and will have more ladies that will actually reply to me. Fingers crossed!
Not happy so far. Only on 3 hours and now i cannot get onto the site... only in script form, no website with pictures etc. and no contact number i can reach.
Calling my credit card company tonight and trying to get my money back.
I've been using few dating sites for people in their 50+ in parallel and despite seniormeet didn't help me to find my soulmate (unlike primetimelove.com, which did), I have had quite a few very nice conversations with the ladies using the site. I'm not a stupid kind of guy to be fooled, so I was careful in my choice. You guys who complain a lot, try to think of the dating sites like of real life: definitely not easy, expensive sometimes and lots of wrong personalities on your way. But if you're determined enough, you'll finally get lucky. Don't give up and keep positive attitude to your lifes!
Dreadful customer service--someone hacked into my account, wrote a half witted note and sent it to every toad on the log. When I tried to report my concern, no one to respond! You'd better hope this does not infect my credit card or a lawsuit is in your future--and apparently there are dozens of people who would like to join me. And by the way: I have a PhD. If you're going to get someone to write a note and sign my name, at least make sure they're literate.
I'll hold my hands up from the off and say that I'm very new to all this internet dating stuff. Wife left me last year and divorce almost through so desperate times for desperate measures I suppose, I jest! I enjoyed using SeniorsMeet as a way to find my feet in the internet dating world, really interesting, but im fast becoming a fan of primetimelove.com, it's just really busy and the ladies that I've spoken with so far are a lot more open. Not sure why that is, coincidence perhaps, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth so I'll be sticking with prime time love! Hopefully find someone to share a few eggnogs with at the very least, who knows!
So far my "responses" from SeniorsMeet have been negative. I agree with other reviews, that this site does not even try to meet simple expectations. "Local ladies" may or may not respond to a flirt or a message. Mostly if you send someone a flirt or a message, there's an "on-line response", but that's it. Nothing more. You have "flirts" in your in-box, but when you open the message, "it's NO RESULTS". Women contacting me are from the West or East Coast, thousands of miles away. Or they have "no photo and no profile". It would be easy for a site like Srs-meet to require a "real" photo that goes along with a "real profile". It's simply a-phreaking-amazing that the responses from the women are "canned" and predictable. I'll be going to my local bank and stopping payment.
Put in an age range you want and get "Matches" that consistently exceed that range. Contact them and get an email explaining their system, and encouraging you to "reply to this email." So far 4 attempt at replying have been sent back as "Undelivered mail, return to sender." Why not send another email asking for a phone number, only to get the same RTS mail. Apparently their computer match-up system was created by the same folks who created ObamaCare's website.
I closed and deleted my account over 6 months ago. Today someone hacked onto their site and got into my account and opened it up. Why my information was still there after 6 months is a mystery to me. And the problem is they have no phone numbers where you can actually talk to someone. They have a lot of explaining to do!
Why was I charged $101.00 out of the clear blue with no notice? I haven't been to this site in months, now I have to go through all of the hassle to try and get my money back. Every one should stay well away from this scsm!
It is phony and a joke I get people across us local people never see this I have a female friend who joined sent her a flirt just to see if she got it never did we both did this several times so take it as it is don't be fooled and waste hard earned money
Horrible customer service. Generic responses. Generic email response to my billing question with the comment that if it didn't answer my question to respond to that email. Response bounced back that it was not an address that accepted mail, so that was not true. The company has exceptions to cover actions they wish to or may take and none will include refunding your money. When there has been a misunderstanding and you contact them as soon as the billing goes on your credit card, crediting your card would show good customer care. This was not the case.
This dating site is a scam. You pay your money and tell them what your looking for and then they get their money and you get squat. Never got the age group or area I requested. Got almost all out of state and men with no pictures or profiles, and my daily matches were always the same. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Why is it that my account is hung up three or four times now in 2 days!. I can't reset the password, I can't get anyone from the SeniorsMeet, to leave the email that is reachable!. All my mail is coming back as not deliverable! Why is it that I can't upload any pictures, after 3!... Why it says always "ERROR"... Why is nobody answering mail!... FIX IT PLEASE, "booshlfe"... or *******@gmail.com
As someone else mentioned and I'll reiterate, the profile is free. However, to actually get any contact messages one has to pay. I did try the site for three months, but I never had a contact that I really wanted to meet (that may be mine "problem"; perhaps too picky), although I'll try other online dating sites and have gone out on several dating sessions. I cancelled the subscription two years ago, but I just got billed for an alleged profile that I was supposed to have created. I already had a profile, so I definitely didn't need another. I contacted a Seniorsmeet representative, but they refused to give me the name of *my* new profile! I had to contact my credit card company to block the payment.
Very hard to navigate. Got notices every day until I finally joined adb never heard anything from them again. Impossible for me to upload my pics and they would not help me at all
As a retired gent in my early sixties I must say Ive taken a liking to this site. Until now Ive really only used PrimeTimeLove.com but im quite enjoying having two routes into the dating scene instead of my usual one. Its a great way to meet ladies of a certain vintage and I must admit to gravitating towards the youngsters on this site that are around the 50 mark. Ive dated a few and believe that even though they are ten years than I, they give me a boost and keep me feeling young. If I went onto a typical site like match I would be called a pervert for aiming at women 10+ years my junior and struggle to meet women of that age I imagine, but because this site is focused on the senior market, its a lot easier for me to find such ladies and get away with it! All in all a good fun way to spend an afternoon and when you actually go out to meet the people youve been speaking with its really very exciting and gets the heart pumping that little bit faster. Which at my age is probably a bit dangerous but hey ho! Would recommend to a friend and often do! David from Lancaster
The price brings in the scammers wanting money or wanting someone to go around the site and use personal emails for communication. Originally, I had several people try to communicate with me. Now I have said no scammers and I literally have no one even attempting to send me a message. That is fine since I have no interest in communicating with them. I would suggest finding a more reputable site.
I have been 9 months in trying to cancel my subscription to this site. They refuse to stop billing my credit card. Once they have their hooks into you, you will be billed for life.
Interesting site. Lots of people. Easy to use on my ipad or my computer in my study. As good as primetimelove.com which I also use regularly. Would recommend.
I also didn't like seniorsmeet.com. The site tries to get you to enter in all your personal information and then you have to pay in order to really meet anyone. I said it on my other reviews too but I think OK Cupid is a better free site and eharmoney is a better site if you have to pay. I really wish their were better senior dating options, but I don't think there are.
SeniorsMeet has a rating of 1.8 stars from 24 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with SeniorsMeet most frequently mention and credit card. SeniorsMeet ranks 23rd among Senior Dating sites.
