If shipment is lost you will wait two months to get made whole. They don't care. Use coin shop,safer. Update: 3/28/23. Thanks for the canned response CEO of SD Bullion. If you had checked, I have been waiting since my original order on 2/8/2023. I responded to all your company "fully insured shipment" requests for information, notarized forms on the same day I received them via email. What you didn't explain in your review response for people to see is a customer (my personal experience) will wait one week while you let the shipper investigate. Then the request for insurance form comes and the insurance process starts. I asked your customer service rep on the phone the same day they received my faxed, notarized form how long it will be, he stated the longest he has seen a claim take is 30 days. Now you tell me it always takes 30 days. I called on 3/15, the customer service rep told me it was scheduled to ship on 3/27. Next week on 3/22 I got an email saying that my original items were out of stock, did I want a refund or take generics. I responded back the same day saying send the generics. Rachel said she would get that sent over to get taken care of. Now due to unprecedented demand my email gets an automated reply that i will get a response in 24 - 48 Business Hours. If thats not a typo from ZenDesk, that 3 - 6 business days. I called this morning and due to unprecedented demand after 15 minutes of waiting the customer is told by message there is nobody available to take their call and try email.
I understand your problems with the demand but how about some priority for a long time customer who has been waiting through no fault of their own for their product that they got charged for over six weeks ago. That's my frustration and what people need to know before they use online dealers. Maybe more selection but when this happens is it worth it? And people, if their insurance company decides that maybe you got your package, not as clearly stolen or lost as mine was, do you think you will ever see your thousands of dollars? Fully insured just like your house and car doesn't mean the insurance company is going to pay up due to exclusions and limitations. Tyler if you respond to this again, please tell me you personally had order ******* re-shipment expedited. I will update again to let folks know what happened.
Ive bought from multiple dealers, and I made the mistake of trying out SD bullion. I liked the price and wanted to check them out. Learn from my experience: My first order of several thousand dollars was processed fine in feb and recieved in about the same matter as any dealer i bought from. Awesome, place another several thousand dollar (couple of gold and silver coins) order on march 2nd. Shows waiting payment, 3 days pass and goes to payment recieved. I give some time, knowing the markets demand is starting to go up. Then i contact them, sd says high demand wait another 5 to 10days. I give 2 weeks, send another email. Dont hear back for 2 days, send a irritating email letting them im disappointed. One of the items was going to be a gift (not anymore). They respond, saying they had a inventory glitch with my order, they are waiting on a piece of silver before they can send it. Wow SD, when you found that out why didn't you update your customer. Why did i have to complain to find out? Slow and lack of communication is issue. They did say they would substitute it, which i told them yes. That was several days ago, and the order still has not been shipped or even change to processing. Ive put in 3 other orders and recieved them already from my main online dealer, SD bullion hasnt even processed or shipped it yet, over a month. Disappoint in SD bullion. Buy from other dealers that you can trust. Mine is now gone in this dealer. Price doesn't matter if you never receive the product. Im still waiting. Only thing left for me to do: starting to file complaints and possibly legal action if product isnt shipped. Wasting my time. They lost a customer with me that spent thousands of dollars with them, how would they treat the others?

This was the first time USPS actually rang my doorbell instead of dropping the package in the street mail box.
Product straight from the mint. 5 MONSTER BOXES. A little heavy but UPS handled it.

Finding the right people within a company that genuinely care about customer service is a blessing. After a few days of soured relationship (my shipment was stolen en route via USPS), Jeremiah B. Reached out to me and rectified the issue very fast. Excellent and easy to follow communication. Received replacement shipment and the coins are amazing BU - thank you for understanding my concerns.
Updated to 4 stars - though the recent experience from May 1st is 5+ stars! Unbelievable difference in listening to customer complaint from the previous communication in late April.
Will re-order from SD Bullion due to the great experience provided by Jeremiah and his team!

Updating review:
Reasonable requests from customer who paid timely, was presented a LABEL for delivery, and issued support pictures and non-delivery form within 30 minutes of refusing delivery from post office:
1. Do not require a NOTARIZED form (which costs $25+) in addition to the support SD Bullion has received - ie. The "package" being returned to SD Bullion from post office. I have never had custody of shipment.
2. guarantee 30 day resolution, based on your insurance requirement (not just a starting timeframe)
3. Guarantee SD Bullion will NOT issue refund if spot prices increase by 30 day resolution

Placed >$1500 order on 4/6/23, and only a shipping label was attempted to be delivered on 4/24/23! Refused the "shipment" and immediately provided SD Bullion pictures of "shipment" as well as completing their missing/damaged item form. The post office was returning "shipment" to SD Bullion.
Customer service said I would hear back from someone within 24-48 hours, after that timeframe passed without contact, I initiated contact with customer service on 4/28/23.
Their "manager" Frank R. Said I needed to wait at least 30 days for the next steps of investigation. On top of that, the under staffed post office told me these investigations are 2+ months. Told Frank this and he said I would still need to wait, that's how it's done, and would also need to provide a notarized statement (at my cost!) claiming my loss. NOT acceptable, they have the "package" returned to them. It wasn't lost or damaged - it was just a label without package that I refused.
This is an anomaly, but the sour taste from dealing with Frank has turned me off to SD Bullion.
Take your business elsewhere!
Just as others noted - canned response received. Package wasn't lost, Post Office attempted delivery of a LABEL, not a package, and I refused - return to sender. Quality control within your shipping department may need to be addressed. This Friday May 5th, you will have use of my funds for over 3 weeks. Either reship my order by May 5th, and have someone vouch that a package was shipped(not just label), or refund my money by May 5th. SD Bullion can wait since you have my money and your shipment back.

Answer: Company charged me $50 fee because I filed credit card chargeback on the order that didn't arrive. Below is customer service message to me. Since when did company charge consumers $50 fee for filing a chargeback? I filed claim on BBB to resolve the issue. We received a charge back for this 07/09/2019. Since you were unwilling to follow our process for a lost packagewhich would have been much faster than filing a charge back a month lateryour account has been suspended indefinitely and a balance of $50 to cover fees imposed on us because of this unnecessary charge back is due.
