Not Good To Deal With

I contacted Santander about the status of a dispute with Ebay because I hadn't received any updates or notifications of my case, only to be told that I had received credit. Credit, from whom Santander or Ebay? I hadn't received any credit because I would have been notified that is procedural and it almost six months later. I filed the dispute in late June early July, and it supposed to take no more than three months maximum. This isn't my first go round with Ebay and Santander. The first was when my Ebay account was hacked and Santander sided with Ebay against me so I lost $150 for cookies that I never bought. Corporations of which both Santander and Ebay are side with other corporations over the customer. Banks control and own you.

Inaccessible Bank
October 3, 2016

When the UK exits the common market send Santander back to Spain, good riddance to the jokers.
C/S don't have a clue about the layout and details of the poor online system they operate to reset memorable data. Only at the end it informs you have to wait 4 to 6 days for post to arrive. So you can't access your bank, completely locked out.

Time to contact the ombudsman, we have taken multiple screen images from the website to prove our case.
Time to switch well over due, especially looking at the bad reviews.

Santander bank makes me uncomfortable because they are based in Spain and Spain's economy is not doing very well. I imagine if they get into more trouble with bad loans, Spain or the EU will bail them out, but then again, maybe not?

The worst bank ever
November 18, 2020

I have lived in 4 countries and had bank account in all of them and never before had such problems like with santander bank. Unfortunately when I moved to Spain I decided to open account with this bank as was the best known from the banks there. And the problems started:
- the bank is inaccessible
- they work like franchise this means that any help you get only in the branch in which you opened your account so if you move...
- customer service is almost non-existant
- you have to pay attention to the different fees that are sneakingy taken from your account
- they pushy with extras like different types of insurances
-they give you so called personal gestor who doesn't answer phone or emails
I could keep going...

Had a loan in September last year for a quick goods clearance. I intended to pay off this loan by 12/31/2022 for our end of year report. The weird thing is they only provide a verbal pay off quote or walk in only. I'm in TX and they don't have a branch here so they only option was verbal quote. After paying off the quote by overnight check including 2 days advance interest, they told me the representative had provided me a wrong quote and that the loan still had principal balance. After they investigated for 3 months it turned out payment had initially made leading to the pay off quote was not credited even though they sent a statement document with these payments credited to the loan. I don't know how they have license to operate, but this is the greatest scam in the banking industry. With all these documentation received and recordings, I'm looking forward to legal proceedings for misrepresentation and personal damages...it's a stupid bank and unprofessional bank. Nobody should do business with these scammers.

Beware of Scam!
November 14, 2023

Pure scam. I regret not reading reviews before making my purchase. After making a very large deposit, I was used and prevented from making withdrawals; when I protested, they insisted on additional funds before I could unfreeze my account and make a withdrawal. My in-laws told me about CAMERON - LIMITED* CO*M, and since they were experiencing similar problems, I approached them about it, and they took care of it for me. When I received my return letter following multiple thorough checks, I was taken aback.

Questa banca discrimina chi non ha una cittadinanza spagnola! Prima si fa pubblicità anche su FB e IG, ma poi all'apertura del conto iniziano i problemi...Infatti fa aprire il conto online solo a chi ha la cittadinanza spagnola. Cose da pazzi che al giorno d'oggi in una società cosmopolita una banca voglia limitare la clientela ai soli cittadini della nazione ove ha sede! Ho chiesto anche informazioni in merito all'assistenza clienti ma non si sono degnati di rispondere alla mia domanda! Quindi secondo questi signori una cittadina italiana che si trova in Spagna non può essere loro correntista. Bè peggio per loro perchè perderanno tanti clienti!
