Don't ever buys anything from this store spent a fortune on two stand behind shampoo bowls. Paid a fortune in shipping. Arrived all scratched up and they wouldn't do a thing about it except accuse me of the scratching. Will never do business with them again. Customer service kept me waiting for days then said I had the merchandise too long for them to be concerned with a partial refund. 30 days. It took that long to get in a plumber and unpack the boxes. I believe we were 2 days beyond the mark and they didn't take in consideration they had kept me waiting over 1 week for a reply. They scammed me using up the time so they could drop the hammer after the 30th day passed. How sad, now I'm stuck and nothing to do. Marty Barnes
Do Not Order From Salon Guys!*
I ordered 6 salon chairs from salon guys. I noticed immediately that when we get a drip of color or hair product on the arms of the chairs and wipe it off it either leaves a permenant stain on them or totally removes the finish on the metal arms. I called salon guys and spoke with Katelyn, she said she has never heard of this happening before. She spoke to the warehouse ans they suggested I should use some acetone to remove the stains. That did nothing. The arms are supposed to be stainless steel and the chairs are made to be in the salon which should mean you can get a little bit of color on the arms and it should not completely ruin them.
This definately should not be happening at all! I called back and was supposidly was directed to Katelyn's manager. She said this happens all the time and that they can't do anything about it because it is considered "normal wear and tear." They will not issue a refund or help me out in any way. This is happening to brand new salon chairs! The company obviously does not stand behind their product at all. So now I'm stuck with ruined chairs that are costly and it looks horrible! If you want a quality product or if you expect any customer service, do not order from Salon Guys!
Bought some Fanola shampoo from them and I am located in Toronto, Canada. When I created the account online, it has my Canadian address and also says free shipping. However, Canadians cannot place any orders online and have to place it over the phone. The toll free number is a dead end bc apparently its only available for Americans.
Called the US number, which is no where to be found on their website and called to complain how my order never went through. The lady who answered the phone, she had a voicemail and her name is Alyssea, however it's spelt. She never responded or cared to call back. Emailed them to complain how I suddenly received a bill in my mail saying I have to pay for tax and duties to FedEx. Alyssea never informed me about this hidden fee as I'm under the impression that it is free shipping.
My order was about $107 USD and that still has to be converted to CAD. Now I have tax and duties of $77. I'm paying nearly an equivalent amount to my order number just to cross the border. How is that even possible? If I was informed that I'd be charged with extra tax and duties, I would not have placed an order or give them my business. I'm surprised their business is still running after all these poor reviews.
They should be responsible for paying for my tax and duties.
All my orders have been on time and the packaging was spot on. Will order from here for now on. This salon owner is happy.
My experience with salon guys was off to a great start when I had made a large purchase from them when my salon did a remodal. A large east coast company had refurred me to them when calling in search for a pre fab color bar. Being I'm in California and there a California based company I thought it was a better fit. They buying and receiving of my murchandise was easy and simple. The product came in and was pretty much ready to go and use bring it was already built and simple and just had to mount the top cabinets to the steel brackets that attach to the bottom base cabinet. Well three weeks into having this $4,000. Pre fab cabinet in salon I started to notice the on one side the top cabinet that holds the boxes of hair color was bowing."meaning the bottom section of the cabinet was looking like a bridge" I reached out to them via phone and email. Also sent video and photos of the 3 moth old cabinet falling apart and they all responded back with email stating they would nothing they could do. Being a business owner my self I was very applied that a company would not stand behind there product after 3 weeks. It was very disappointing and be prepared they will make you jump through lopes to just have to express your situation. Not a pleasant experience and wouldn't recommend doing business with them.
I would recommend making purchasing on insured card to make your covered because they do not stand behind there product.
I had been referred by another barbershop whom had a pleasant experience. I purchased 8 chairs, and they arrived. I was very happy and all had gone well. UNTIL THE FOLLOWING WEEK I FIND OUT BRENNEN / BRENDAN (sp?) FROM GAVE GLP AKA SALON GUYS GAVE OUT MY NAME, ORDER INFO, PRICE PAID, ETC. TO A SHADY SUPPLY STORE TRYING TO MAKE A DEAL AND BECOME THE LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR. Be warned they share personal information and with how identity theft is out there, DONT RISK IT. Order with another company.
Horrible experience. Did not ship chair. The sent a carton marked chair, but had pedistal in it. Customer Service was a terrible experience also.
Do not recommend anyone to purchase from the people.
